"Civic" refers to citizens who collaborate
for individual happiness with civic
integrity more than for the city, state, nation, or society.
Consider writing a personal paraphrase of the preamble, which
offers fellow citizens mutual equity: For
discussion, I convert the preamble’s predicate phrases to nouns and paraphrase
it for my interpretation of its proposal as follows: This good citizen
practices the U.S. disciplines---integrity, justice, peace, strength, and
prosperity, "in order to” develop responsible human-independence “to
ourselves and our Posterity.” I want to improve my interpretation by
listening to other citizens and their interpretations yet would preserve the
original, 1787, text, unless it is amended by the people.
It seems the Supreme Court occasionally refers to it,
and no one has challenged whether or not the preamble is a legal statement. The
fact that it changed this independent country from a confederation of states to
a union of states deliberately managed by disciplined fellow citizens convinces
me the preamble is legal. Equity in opportunity and outcome is shared by the
people who collaborate for human justice.
Every citizen has equal opportunity to either trust-in
and collaborate-on the goals stated in the preamble or be dissident to the
agreement. I think 2/3 of citizens try somewhat to use the preamble but many do
not articulate commitment to the goals. However, it seems less than 2/3
understand that “posterity” implies grandchildren. “Freedom of religion,” which
fellow citizens have no means to discipline, oppresses freedom to develop
integrity.

Selected theme from this week
Self-discipline constrains the chaos of infidelity
Three discoveries, to me, converged this week.
First, a Mesopotamian, 4 thousand year-old idea, expressed
in Genesis 1:27-28, especially in “Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth and
subdue it,” may be interpreted: Man
and woman are charged to constrain chaos on earth. The rest of the
Bible is scattered with scenes of infidelity.
Second, fast forward 1600 years from Genesis, and Homer
writes (according to some readers) of human wickedness and consequential misery,
born in sex. (In my brush with Homer and other Greek writers, I accepted the
impression that the ancient women made sense regardless of male folly.)
Third, after a quora question by Graham C Lindsay, I bought J. B. Priestley's book, “Literature and Western Man” (1960). Priestley reviewed Western literature from Machiavelli (“The Prince,” 1513) to Tom Wolfe
(d. 1938). On Page 444, Priestley laments his perception that man is lost, ““[W]e
are now piling on to sex the whole gigantic load of our increasing
dissatisfaction, our despair, a burden far greater than it can safely take.”
If that’s the way things are, as modern papal-concerns seem to confirm, it is regrettable. And slavery to sex is avoidable in individual self-interest.
When I fell in love with my wife, my vow of fidelity was for
life and extended to any children (3) and beyond. Within our first year of
marriage, I realized that I would need to court her for life, because her
serene confidence was attractive to men. Moreover, I have to discipline my imagination
and frustrations, now matter where they emerge.
Constraining chaos takes awareness and intention, and it is
in each person’s self-interest to do the work to develop humble-integrity by which to measure honesty.
In fact, we can establish a U.S. culture of self-discipline
in order to constrain chaos. The proposition was proffered in the preamble to the
U.S. Constitution that was signed on September 17, 1787. Nothing in the 1787
Constitution lessens the humble-integrity that is expressed in the 1776
Declaration of Independence from England.

Fortunately, Staub School, Knoxville Tennessee introduced me
to Ralph Waldo Emersion, and “Self-Reliance” stuck with me to this day.
In my mid-forties, I had 8 jobs at my Southern Baptist
Church, including Chair of the Family Enrichment Committee. I had also been
worshiping with my Catholic family each weekend, never taking communion. In my
early fifties, Mom and Dad had died, and I felt released from these great providers’
wishes that I would be saved their divided ways. I was free to pursue my 4
decades trust-in the-ineluctable-truth and to commit-to discovering its
precursor, the-objective-truth. It waits for the needed instrument of
perception that might reach the-ineluctable-truth.
Then, I read Emerson’s essay from the American underground: “The
Divinity School Address,” 1838. I thought, “Aha! One person might agree with me.”
Ten years later, I was comfortably non-religious. My appreciation for whatever assigns
humankind to lessen chaos on earth is unwavering, and my need to believe more
than my commitment to constrain chaos in my life has gone the way of my concern
before my ovum was inseminated: non-existent.
My wife’s Louisiana-French Catholic faith her way is
precious to me for her. And my faith in the-ineluctable-evidence is precious to
me for me. The last time I asked, she said she is glad I did not convert to
Christianity. I don’t think I would have discovered myself without her. In
other words, what if one of the Protestants I courted had accepted monogamy for
life with me in the years before I met my bride?

in "Divinity School Address": accept your human being and develop the
humble-integrity to perfect your unique person.
Imagine every family is committed to monogamy for life. That
is, not only are the spouses committed to each other for life, they are
committed to their children and grandchildren for life and impart this attitude
within the family by example more than exhortation.
In such a culture, the awareness supporting the spouses is
represented by 2 parents each or four total, the 4 grandparents to the
children. The heritages supporting each of the four grandparents are each represented
by two each great-grandparents to the children, or 8 great-grandparents. Adding
the 2 parents and the 4 grandparents, the total ancestors at this point is 14.
The progression to the 4th great-grandparents is 30, 62, 126, respectively.
In a geopolitical group, kinship is likely, yet limited, so
there are subcultures.
However, humankind is joined by a majority desire for
mutual, comprehensive, safety and security so that the individual may pursue
the happiness they perceive rather than tolerate a way of living that society
would impose on them.
The first is that personal-integrity emerges from the
humility to accept “I don’t know,” when that is so. I don’t know any others.

A dialogue started in August, 2020
Vestal, since we last conversed, I discovered two new
considerations and am staying with my journey forward.
First, the importance of Genesis 1:27–28, in my view. An
ancient Mesopotamian, over 4 thousand years ago, observed that man and woman
are constrained to control chaos in their lives (“Be fruitful, multiply, fill
the earth and subdue it.”) Unfortunately, the thinkers that followed focused on
characterizing the source of the demand: “God blessed them.”
Homer’s description of life 1600 years later is not as
interesting as the second discovery to me: J.B. Priestley’s 1960 review of
literature from Machiavelli to John Stuart Mill and more in the book,
“Literature and Western Man,” 1960. Priestley comments, on Page 444, “[W]e are
now piling on to sex the whole gigantic load of our increasing dissatisfaction,
our despair, a burden far greater than it can safely take.”
At the young age of 26, I recognized that if I did not
control my sexual imagination, it would not take long to lose the love of my
life. We are now in our 51st year of family-monogamy for life. By that I mean
we are faithful to our children as well as each other.
I read the “Odyssey” during college, and turned to the
philosophy of science as more interesting. I think I made a good decision.

https://www.quora.com/Why-is-there-so-much-evil-in-the-world?
Humankind is constrained to control chaos on earth. Churches
compete for doctrinal-claims to the power from which the human-constraint
emerges. Too many people become bemused in the bargain for church-favor,
neglecting their human individual power, individual energy, and individual
authority (HIPEA) to constrain chaos in their life. I work to change this
dilemma by persuading fellow-citizens to practice and encourage
humble-integrity to physics and its progeny, keeping spiritual pursuits
private.
https://www.quora.com/Why-is-it-so-difficult-for-some-people-to-tell-the-truth?
I think the problem is that “truth” is too inexact.
In its demand to constrain chaos on earth, humankind
performs research for ineluctable evidence and discovers the-objective-truth,
either positive or negative, according to the research objective. Either way,
the research-conclusion is retained, awaiting the invention of new instruments
for perception. Thereby, the-objective-truth may be revised so as to approach the-ineluctable-truth.
For example, the sun’ll not come up tomorrow. It will be
revealed after its midnight-hiding by the earth’s rotation on its axis.
Lying is another matter altogether. Some people don’t accept
that physics and its progeny eventually reveal the-objective-truth. Ineluctably
good people never lie, in order to lessen human misery and loss.
For example, I’d say to anyone present, at daybreak, “Look.
The earth’s awesome rotation on its axis is un-hiding the sun.” If they ask,
“Why awesome?” I answer, “It’s rotation speed is 1100 mph.”
FB add on: The-objective-truth is easier to tell.
https://www.quora.com/Is-scientific-truth-the-only-truth?
By design, there’s no such thing as “scientific truth.”
There’s only the-ineluctable-truth. In its demand to constrain chaos on earth,
humankind performs research for ineluctable evidence and discovers
the-objective-truth, either positive or negative, according to the research
objective. Either way, the research-conclusion is retained, awaiting the
invention of new instruments for perception. Thereby, the-objective-truth may

For example, the path to the conclusion that the earth is
not flat was gradual over centuries.

It is ethical to report people who take the license to harm
others or their property, including intellectual property.
The ineluctably good citizen neither initiates nor tolerates
harm to or from anyone.
I was in a wonderful “open-minded” discussion group until
the leader revealed he is anarchist who carries an AK45. I objected and stopped
attending and let members who weren’t present that night know why. I think I
showed my intolerance. If I had ever been with the group and they took the
license to harm someone or their property for egocentric “liberty,” I would
have left the scene and reported them to first responders.
The whistle blowing decision is critical and ought to be
made in humble-integrity to self.
https://www.quora.com/Do-inalienable-human-rights-even-exist?
Thank you, Mr. Norris for reducing my ignorance.
Merriam-Webster online says “inalienable” means “incapable
of being alienated, surrendered, or transferred.” The definition is new to me,
as I previously thought the word implied government taking rather than citizen
alienating, surrendering, or transferring.
Life, liberty, property, and the pursuit of happiness can
each be alienated, and a government could not assure any of them if it reformed
so as to want to.
Moreover, the human being has the individual power, the
individual energy, and the individual authority (HIPEA) to either develop
humble-integrity or tolerate infidelity to self. HIPEA cannot be alienated, and
government has no power over the individual’s choice. Influence, yes; power,
no.
(If you have no objections, I will add your name to my
appreciations page. Search “A Civic People”+appreciations, perhaps using Bing, and
when you’ve found promotethepreamble.blogspot.com, use the upper left, internal
search-bar and “appreciations” to find the page.)
I cannot speak for knowledge and wisdom.
My ignorance and folly come to me as misery, loss, and
commitment not to repeat them and to develop humble-integrity more than
personal integrity.
First, we must consider “power.” Imposition of political
power is often met with military resistance. On the other hand, open-mindedness
to the-ineluctable-truth invites civic influence. For example, even though my
image is white-skin, it does me no harm for a fellow-citizen to pursue hope and
comfort in red-God. Reading “God is Red,” by Vine Deloria, Jr., on Fred Bear’s
suggestion, opened my mind to an ancient faith in physics and its progeny.
I typically converse about real life with strangers, for
example, the kind person who was cutting my hair one day. I asked my Super-Cut
provider, “Do you know the meaning of African-American Christianity? It does
not seem inviting to me, a European-American.”
She responded, “Think of me as an Ethiopian Christian.”
Since then, I discovered (to me) the Ethiopian Tewahedo
Bible and without objection expect believers to find hope and comfort in
black-God---in their image. I may not study it more for now, and am grateful to
be aware.
If the ultimate consequence of God-images is the proposal to
enslave white-people, I would fear another dreadful military resistance and
recall Abraham Lincoln’s 1861 words, “Why
should there not be a patient confidence in the ultimate justice of the people?
Is there any better or equal hope in the world?”
(I suspect Barack Obama envisions black-governance with
consent of the governed. Instead, I expect the U.S. to reform from
British-colonial psychology/tradition, at last. The human demand and the 1787
Constitution’s intentions is for U.S. humble-integrity rather than for
church-state-partnership.)
https://www.quora.com/What-classic-human-values-have-we-lost-in-today-s-contemporary-world?
We’re missing a majority fellow-citizens who pursue responsible
human independence. That is to say, self-reliance in humble-integrity. We need
reform from a large faction who erroneously want dependency and consequently
will never pursue the happiness they want rather than accept what bureaucrats
deliver.
Reform is possible with amendment of the First Amendment to
encourage U.S. humble-integrity rather than support international religious
institutions. The is would be a return to the U.S. 1787 affirmation of the
British-American colonial 1776 “the good People” appeal “to the Supreme Judge
of the world” for affirmation of the intentions for independence from England.
The unique U.S. promise to the world is expressed in the
1787 Constitution, especially its preamble’s proposition to “ourselves and our
Posterity” and the provision for the entity We the People of the United States
to amend the Constitution.

I think an ineluctably good citizen neither initiates nor tolerates
harm to or from any person including self. In the presence of potential harm,
objection may be sufficient and the potential offender may be innocent.
Otherwise, reporting to first responders may be necessary. If attack is

I don’t agree with Jennings and Welch.
It seems to me intellectuals are mostly entertainers at the
leading edge of deep consideration of shared human-issues. For example, 1)
conservatism as covert tyranny versus 2) the right to love the one you
appreciate. I’m thinking of the 1968 spectacular self-destruction by William F.
Buckeley, Jr. when Gore Vidal extracted the threat, “Now listen, you queer,
stop calling me a crypto-Nazi or I’ll sock you in your goddam face, and you’ll
stay plastered.”
The reader ought not take my favor of Gore’s honor to mean
same-sex couples ought to parent. I think every viable ovum is due the dignity
and equity of conception in heterosexual-family monogamy rather than in either
natural or technological gestation. I don’t know the-ineluctable-truth, and
opine there ought to be no influence toward the same-sex living choice.
https://www.quora.com/Should-people-be-restricted-by-social-rules-and-ethical-code-Why?
Humankind is charged to constrain chaos in their lives.
Thus, the ineluctably good citizen neither initiates nor tolerates harm to or
from others. And they know better than to assume that good for them is good for
others. But it is neither possible nor desirable to question another citizen’s privacy
respecting the good.
Not every fellow-citizen behaves for justice. Some think
crime pays. Written rules, ethics, and laws make discovery of intended-injustice
possible. Upon crime-discovery, erroneous codes may be revised so as to
approach statutory justice.

is not flat and the sun will not come up tomorrow.
https://www.quora.com/Is-free-will-a-topic-of-morality-and-ethics-and-less-of-science?
First, science is a method of study that self-constrains to
discover the-ineluctable-truth. Often, the study must accept only
the-objective-truth until researchers invent the required instruments of
perception that may approach the-ineluctable-truth. For example, photos from
space confirm that the earth is more like a globe than a dish.
The-ineluctable-truth is constrained by the laws of physics and its progeny,
and to choose to resist those laws is willful.
Each human being has the individual power, the individual
energy, and the individual authority (HIPEA) to either develop humble-integrity
to the-ineluctable-truth or construct theories to believe in. The choice is
willful and available only to the human species.
For example, so-called “social scientists” invent
statistical studies that show that Republicans own guns, ignoring two key
variables: 1) Individual commitment to hunting for self-development and food
and 2) provisions and intentions to the strength to protect family and home.
The “scientist” who dedicates self to deceitful statistical studies is willful.
Even the label “scientist” is deceiving.

We’re at the leading edge of over 4 thousand years’
conflicts and wars over the author of humankind’s charge to independence: in
self-interest, control chaos on earth. I’m interpreting Genesis 1:28
according to more than 4 thousand years under conflicting doctrinal Gods, no
number in the 10s of thousands. Cultures bemuse themselves from their brief
opportunity to establish peace on earth.
If the speaker is not grounding the promise in
accountability to physics and its progeny, it’s time for the listener to exercise
the responsible human independence to exit and share the experience with
fellow-citizens.
The-ineluctable-truth delivers no mercy to erroneous

organizational (AMO) appeals.
AMO speakers can deceive, only if the listener co-operates.

What is human rights to you?
The opportunity to develop humble-integrity rather than
tolerate infidelity to your person.
I like my interpretation of a thought from Genesis 1:28. Man
and woman, constrain chaos on earth. Unfortunately for humankind, cultures
debate where that charge originates. I think it originates from
humble-integrity expressed over 4 thousand years ago.
I think the only attainable human right is the opportunity
to develop humble-integrity during each, unique person’s life.
Life, liberty, property, and pursuit of happiness cannot be
attained by political power.
Is the very idea of a “liberal order,” which in the context of
international relations, means freedom, equality, and consent, contradictory?
I think so.
Physics and its progeny constrain humankind such that there
is only one degree of freedom: freedom-to develop humble-integrity toward
the-ineluctable-truth. Every human individual has the power, energy, and
authority (HIPEA) to develop either humble-integrity or infidelity-to self.
Nations have the same constraint. No nation can license liberty-from physics.
Accept that you are a human being with individual power,
energy, and authority (HIPEA) to comprehend physics and its progeny as
humankind discovers them and develop humble-integrity during a complete human
lifetime.
https://www.quora.com/unanswered/Who-authored-the-Preamble-to-the-Constitution?
Who authored the Preamble to the Constitution?
My response addresses the preamble to the U.S. Constitution,
signed on September 17, 1787 by 39 of 55 framers of the federal republic with
both state and national governments held accountable by the willing people.
Holding the government accountable is necessary to preserve responsible human
independence, which is the natural human way of living.
But not everyone accepts being human. For example, Genesis
1:28 charges man and woman to constrain chaos on earth. Some people vainly try
to consign their responsibilities to the author of the command, whatever that
entity is.
The preamble that was signed along with the articles was
authored beginning September 8 to 11, 1787, by the 5-delegate Committee of
Style. See https://www.nps.gov/inde/learn/historyculture/the-committee-of-style-and-arrangement.htm.
Especially notice the difference between the draft preamble they received and
the preamble they authored. The draft merely names the states and presents the
Articles. However, the final preamble names “We the People of the United
States” and proposes individual self-discipline “to ourselves and our
Posterity.”
I think the Committee of Style summarized the entire
4-months’ accomplishments in a 52-word, abstract sentence. Further, the 1787
U.S. Constitution does nothing that lessens the humble international-integrity
that the founding fathers expressed in the 1776 Declaration of Independence
against England. Therein, “the good People”-representatives appealed “to the
Supreme Judge of the world” for their intentions, leaving spiritual authority
out of their expectations. In other words, they separated church from state
instead of mimicking England’s constitutional church-state-partnership.
Every citizen of the world may interpret the U.S. preamble
to guide their civic, civil, legal, and private way of living in responsible
pursuit of the happiness they prefer rather than accept the vision someone else
has for them. My interpretation today is: Phil Beaver practices the 5 U.S.
disciplines---integrity, justice, peace, strength, and prosperity, “in order
to” enjoy and encourage responsible human independence “to ourselves and our
posterity.”

Using humble-pedagogy or coaching-and-encouraging methods to
invite a nest of acceptances. That is to say, the teachers assume the student
will perfect their unique future-adult whom neither the teacher nor the student
can imagine.
From kindergarten through to grade 12 and beyond, teachers
gradually invite the student to accept: 1) being a person rather than an existence;
2) taking charge of about 3 decades acquiring basic comprehension and intention
to live a complete human lifetime; 3) discovering that they possess the
individual power, the individual energy, and the individual authority (HIPEA)
to develop either humble-integrity or infidelity to themselves; 4) committing
to neither initiate nor tolerate harm to or from any person or institution; and
5) behaving for human-equity under statutory justice.
These principles are expressed in my view of the U.S.
preamble’s proposition “to ourselves and our Posterity.” I share my view hoping

Beaver practices the 5 U.S. disciplines---integrity, justice, peace, strength,

How can you philosophically prove the harm principle?
“The harm principle holds that the actions of individuals should only be
limited to prevent harm to other individuals.” (Wikipedia) I hold that the “other
individuals” includes the self.
Let’s consider two human beings
living in the same location. Each accepts that they are a human being and
member of the family that begot them. Each is aware that their being represents
a unique person with the individual power, the individual energy, and the
individual authority (HIPEA) to constrain chaos in their lives and responsibly
pursue the happiness each wants more than accept the visions their families
have for them. Each accepts the other’s personal integrity, and they converse
and discover that each other’s personal vision of happiness is neither
objectionable nor desirable to the other. They develop the commitment and trust
that both parties will neither initiate nor tolerate harm to or from
any person, institution, or natural event, so that their different pursuits of
happiness can be perfected in their lifetime.
Philosophically they have each
increased personal integrity and begun to develop humble-integrity:
Acceptance-of and appreciation-for each other’s goodness, as it is where it is.
https://www.quora.com/Where-do-personal-values-come-from?
Where do personal values come from?
Of course, I only know my opinion and want to learn.
Each human being is unique and possesses the individual power,
the individual energy, and the individual authority (HIPEA) to either develop
humble-integrity or tolerate infidelity. It takes a complete lifetime for a
human to perfect their unique person.
With good coaching and encouragement to accept HIPEA and self-discipline
to develop integrity, it takes about 3 decades to acquire the comprehension and
enthusiasm to live a complete human life. That is, to acquire the basics for
living including the norms of civilizations to consider as they go on. People
who tolerate infidelity may die young.
During the second and third decade, a person begins to
experience and observe human practices and self-disciplines in self-interest.
For example, if friends plan to misbehave, they bow out and say why the risk is
not interesting.
After about 3 decades’ practice, the person may perceive
they are following personal commitment and trust---personal integrity. In
another decade or so, they may find some people of like minds and learn different
viewpoints that could improve their performance. They adjust their personal
integrity without compromising the responsible happiness they are pursuing.
They approach humble-integrity within their unique person.
At FB post: Cultures ought to coach their youth to develop personal values.
https://www.quora.com/What-is-an-absolute-truth-that-no-teacher-wants-to-hear?
What is an
absolute truth that no teacher wants to hear?
First, the-ineluctable-truth ignores human constructs
(including mine).
Second, people who develop
humble-integrity never lie, in order to lessen human misery and loss. Their
attitude sustains them when they don’t know: “I don’t know, but we’ll do all we
can to constrain chaos” (or equivalent). For example, “I don’t know if that’s a
tsunami coming, but let’s responsibly move to the highest ground in these
parts.”
These ideas may seem shocking to
some people. That is because the diverse cultures inculcate dependency and
infidelity rather than responsible human independence. I work to change that
within my lifetime. A better future is immediately achievable when citizens
collaborate with personal integrity in order to approach humble-integrity; to
mutually accommodate the preferred happiness each pursues.
I write to learn and would

You ask a timely question. Democracy as in “self-rule” is
chaos, as we observe daily. Even democracy as the “right” to vote for
representatives is questionable.
The viable alternative is the rule of statutory justice,
with elected representatives held accountable by eligible citizens. By
“eligible citizens” I mean fellow-citizens who behave for equity under
statutory justice.
People divide over justice. Some want to control and some
want to be controlled. The controllers want the rule of law to favor them, and
the democrats want a mob to overthrow the controllers. Among the controllers
are the criminals who game the rule of law and oppose statutory justice. There
are a few people who want humble-integrity, by which statutory justice is
developed. A humble-culture has been proffered since 1787 and has never taken
hold.
The U.S. citizen may accept a personal interpretation of the
preamble to the U.S. Constitution for personal guidance toward civic, civil,
legal, and private pursuit of the happiness they want rather than the vision a
bureaucrat has for them. The preamble has two thoughts: presenting the
Constitution, and stating the people’s proposition.
My interpretation today of the proffered, neglected
proposition is: Phil Beaver practices
the 5 U.S. disciplines---integrity, justice, peace, strength, and prosperity,
“in order to” encourage responsible human independence “to ourselves and our
Posterity.”
I feel the above interpretation is in my self-interest and
have developed it in discussion with fellow-citizens. I share it to improve my interpretation.
What change would improve my interpretation of the U.S. preamble’s proposition?
To FB post: When
mired in the chaos called democracy, it is difficult to perceive a way out.

Why do foreigners need to 'prove' their value in their host
society?
Thank you, Luciano
Ramírez Garea.
An ineluctably good citizen behaves for equity under
statutory justice. But not all citizens are willing to so behave. An immigrant
ought to consider and choose the people’s political proposition, or not join
the nation.
But what of a born citizen?
I only understand U.S. citizenship. It needs reform to the
above principle: Only the citizen who
chooses the behave according to the U.S. preamble’s people’s proposition ought
to receive a license to vote.

Thank you, Barbara Young Capalbo, for an important question.
In the culture I work to encourage, parents coach and
encourage their young to accept being a unique human and to develop the
humble-integrity by which to discover and perfect their person during a
complete human lifetime.
Each human has the individual power, the individual energy,
and the individual authority (HIPEA) to develop humble integrity rather than
tolerate infidelity to the-ineluctable-evidence. Some neither discover HIPEA
nor refrain from dependency, crime, tyranny, or worse. Some die young.
In the cultures that have evolved, parents do not behold
their children as persons of equity, dignity, and potential to manage world
affairs the parents cannot imagine, let alone constrain. Having been also
subjected to this unfortunate reality, the parents inculcate misunderstood ways
of living they thought their parents (that’s four parents per parenting couple)
wanted for them. Misunderstandings for the children to apply during the
children’s 3rd through 7th decades. One culture tried to
change this “political ideological tendency” in families.
The torture can be worse in higher economic classes, and the
principal remedy is humble-integrity “to ourselves and our Posterity,” quoting
the preamble to the 1787 U.S. Constitution. Since the U.S. culture after 1791
imposed “freedom of religion” rather than encourage integrity, many of us
discover humble-integrity from personal misery and loss.
Here’s an example. Accustomed to family living with a
craftsman-breadwinner and some acreage for gardening and beef cows, I thought
my city-family could mimic that dual-income style by owning rental property and
managing it ourselves. We managed well and sought to expand. We ignored warning
signs to buy a property on our CPA’s advice. We later learned he hid
partnership in the overpriced property. During the 1980s oil slump, big NE
money built thousands of apartments in “the sun belt” including our oil-slumped
state. People were getting 3-days’ vacation on the Gulf Coast to sign a lease.
We could not rent our apartments. A famous, local entrepreneur called and said
he’d pay me the mortgage balance for my property. I sold it but kept the
mortgage! Ten years later, the FBI interviewed me and others. The “entrepreneur”
went to jail. My rental business had bankrupt immediately.
This story is incomplete if I don’t tell you my infidelity.
A book I read advised me not to let mortgage payments exceed 17% of rent
income. I doubled the percentage because of the oil patch, state capitol, and
both LSU and Southern University here. In that fatal purchase, I took the debt
ratio to 70%! I had lost humble-integrity to the books I read.
With my family’s income at risk, a crook with a crooked
lawyer convinced me to escape my income loss. But I kept the mortgage! That’s
what the sales contract read, but I could not accept what I read. How could I
be so stupid?
Now, I have a private thought: Never again will I stand on a chair and put
my neck in a noose. I’m glad I have that thought but regret having to learn it.
More importantly, I have a personal interpretation of the
U.S. preamble’s people’s proposition. Today, it is: Phil Beaver practices the 5 U.S.
disciplines---integrity, justice, peace, strength, and prosperity, “in order
to” encourage responsible human independence “to ourselves and our Posterity.”
Notice that the U.S. preamble does not include religion in the 5 disciplines,
so any pursuit of religion falls under “responsible human independence.”
The 1787 U.S. Constitution lessens the humble-integrity
expressed in neither the 1776 Declaration of Independence nor the 4 thousand
year old directive in Genesis 1:28, “"Be
fruitful, multiply, fill the earth and subdue it.” My Genesis-interpretation
is: constrain chaos in your life.
I write to learn, so please comment.
https://www.quora.com/Has-America-ever-stood-for-freedom?
Has America ever stood for freedom?
Thank you. Yes, many times, for both political freedom and
spiritual privacy. However, we are in Congressional and Supreme Court
repression because more fellow-citizens are unwilling to be any of “the good
People” (1776) or “We the People of the United States” (1787), or “man and
woman” (4 thousand years ago). We can and should accept our role in 2021.
I think what’s repressing America is the hypocrisy the First
Congress imposed on the U.S. as “freedom of religion.” The First Amendment’s
assertion “Congress shall make no law respecting an
establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,” is
unconstitutional, vainly attempts to usurp spiritual authority, and is tyranny
over the minds of “ourselves and our Posterity.” We owe nothing to founders,
framers, or signers, except to know and not repeat the mistakes they made as we
practice the U.S Constitution and improve it toward statutory justice.
The 1776 Declaration’s “the good People” and the 1787
Constitution’s “We the People of the United States” owe it to “ourselves and
our Posterity” to restore the 1776 appeal “to the Supreme Judge of the world” to
affirm geopolitical intentions and to the “image” that charged man and
woman “Be fruitful,
multiply, fill the earth and subdue it” (Genesis 1:27-28) to affirm human motivation and
inspiration.
America, currently under British-American colonial-tyranny
has 5 legal era including the future: 1492-1763 colonization by Western
Europe---principally Spain, France, Holland, England, and Russia; 1763-1784
Eastern-seaboard colonial rebellion and establishment of 13 free and
independent states; 1787-1788 when the U.S. was proffered
as a psychologically free global nation; 1789 till 2020 with
factional-British-colonial politics restored by 1791 Congress and later
codified by the U.S. Supreme Court; and an achievable better future, 2021
unto posterity’s posterity, if at least 2/3 of fellow-citizens treasure
their individual preamble-interpretation among their most precious possessions.
A personal interpretation of the preamble’s people’s
proposition inspires this citizen to civic, civil, legal, and private
independence. The preamble demands personal self-discipline under humble-integrity: Each fellow-citizen constrains chaos during
his or her life. My interpretation this morning is: Phil Beaver behaves according the 5 U.S.
disciplines---integrity, justice, peace, strength, and prosperity, “in order
to” establish responsible human independence “to ourselves and our Posterity.”
I share seeking improvement.
The U.S. preamble proffers freedom. So far, We the People of
the United States have chosen neither freedom nor the responsible human independence
charged to man and woman in Genesis 1:28. To “ourselves and our Posterity” our
first responsibility for 2021 is to amend the First Amendment so as to promote U.S.
humble-integrity rather than religion.
Thank you, Ryan
Joesph Smith, for a provocative question.
Added for Facebook post:
Both the 1776 Declaration
and the 1787 Constitution call for religious privacy rather than imposition. In
2021, "ourselves and our Posterity" can and should amend the
Congressional tyranny in the First Amendment, in order to encourage U.S.
humble-integrity rather than promote the babel of international religions.

How can we apply the beatitudes in living a moral life?
Rather than trying to manage 8 mysteries, I think it is
better to accept the earthly charge given in Genesis 1:28 to man and woman in
God’s image (v. 27): ““Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth and subdue it.” Meet this
demand by developing a life of humble-integrity to physics and its progeny
rather than by tolerating infidelity to man and woman or its mysterious image.
Worry
not
about: whose “is the kingdom of heaven”; who “will be comforted; who
“will inherit the land”; who “will be satisfied”; who “will be shown mercy”;
who “will see God”; or who “will be called children of God.” Behave to
constrain chaos in your person’s life-journey.
By all means, don’t defend St. John’s hate speech attributed to
Jesus in John 15:18-23. There’s no civic place for human-hate accusations in
the humble-integrity demanded by Genesis 1:28.
As we enter the annual season of goodwill, it seems
appropriate to accept Genesis 1:28 as the individual interprets it and behave
accordingly. By all means, the time to wait for God to usurp the responsibility
that is assigned to man and woman has long since passed.
https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-definition-of-strict-interpretation?
What is the definition of strict interpretation?
I appreciate the question and can’t stop thinking how much I
dislike any form of “originalism” that does not conform to the preamble to the
U.S. Constitution. I can’t name a person who shares my concern; however, I feel
there are many Americans who’d like to consider an achievable better future
after 233 years’ Congressional repression of the preamble.
On September 17, 1787, the signers (missing 16 dissenting
framers) completed both the 1776 founders’ intentions to establish
humble-integrity by the 13 eastern-seaboard British-American colonies and the
1787 domestic-nation framers’ contentious affirmation of “the good People” in
the willing of the 13 free and independent states. The required 9 states
ratified and 2 joined before the U.S. began operations on March 4, 1789.
Already, the preamble had been compromised by intentions to mimic the English
Bill of Rights.

We see in the above interpretations British dominance,
British-colonial reformation by India, and religious canon, respectively. The
USA, also recovering from constitutional British-church-lords-partnership, can
learn from India.
My view is that the USA, currently under British-American
colonial tyranny is divided into four legal era: 1607-1763 colonization by
Western Europe---principally Spain, France, Holland, England, and Russia, 1763-1784
Eastern-seaboard colonial rebellion and establishment of 13 free and
independent states (nearly 90% of the land including territories still
controlled by other European countries), 1787-1788 when the U.S. was
proffered as a psychologically free global nation, and 1789 till now with
factional-British-colonial politics restored by Congress and later codified by
the U.S. Supreme Court. I work for a fifth era, when at least 2/3 of
fellow-citizens consider their individual preamble-interpretation among their
most precious possessions---because it inspires them to civic, civil, legal,
and private independence. The preamble demands personal self-discipline under humble-integrity:
Each fellow-citizen constrains chaos during
his or her life.
Consequently, my view is that strict interpretation follows
the U.S. intentions that are proffered in the preamble to the U.S.
Constitution. Amendments that 1) occurred after 1787 and 2) do not support the
preamble’s person-proposition are unconstitutional. For example, the 1791 First
Amendment’s religion clauses, which oppose the preamble’s intentions to prevent
civil religion, should and must be reformed so as to encourage individual citizens
to develop humble-integrity, a self-interest.
U.S. “precedents” that reach back to English law to negate
the proffered U.S. preamble are unconstitutional in the U.S. There is much U.S.
reform to accomplish “in order to” encourage responsible human independence “to
ourselves and our Posterity.”
Comment added on Facebook:
Firming opposition to "originalism," which denies
that the preamble's-proffered person-proposition is "to ourselves and our
Posterity."
Neither British lords/church nor USA founders, framers, nor
signers nor the First Congress prevents humble-integrity by the 2020
"ourselves and our Posterity." We own the HIPEA to develop integrity
rather than tolerate infidelity.
Phil

obviously does not work.

Third, J. B. Priestley, in “Literature and Western Man” (1960),
reviewed Western literature from Machiavelli (“The Prince,” 1513) to Tom Wolfe
(d. 2018). On Page 444, Priestley laments his perception that man is lost, ““[W]e
are now piling on to sex the whole gigantic load of our increasing
dissatisfaction, our despair, a burden far greater than it can safely take.”
If that’s the way things are, it is regrettable and
avoidable in self-interest.
When I fell in love with my wife, my vow of fidelity was for
life and extended to any children (3) and beyond. Within our first year of
marriage, I realized that I would need to court her for life, because her
serene confidence was attractive to men. Moreover, I had to discipline my imagination
and frustrations.
Constraining chaos takes awareness and intention, and it is
in each person’s self-interest to do the work.
Quora
FB add on: RWE
in "Divinity School Address": accept your human being and develop the
humble-integrity to perfect your unique person.
I don’t know any others.
https://www.quora.com/Whats-the-difference-between-morality-virtue-ethics-and-integrity/all_comments/Terry-Vestal?

Constrain chaos in human connections.
FB add on: Constrain chaos.
https://www.quora.com/Why-is-there-so-much-evil-in-the-world?
Thereby, the-objective-truth may
be revised so as to approach the-ineluctable-truth.

Influence, yes; power,
no.

appreciations page.
FB add on: Restore
the 1787 U.S. Constitution's discipline to humble-integrity in the demand for
humankind to constrain chaos on earth.
I think an ineluctably good citizen neither initiates nor tolerates
harm to or from any person including self. In the presence of potential harm,
objection may be sufficient and the potential offender may be innocent.
Otherwise, reporting to first responders may be necessary. If attack is
imminent, adequate defense is appropriate.
https://www.quora.com/What-are-the-advantages-of-individualism?
Responsible human independence is essential to mutual,
comprehensive safety and security. When the group you are with decides to take
the license to harm people and their property for egocentric “liberty,” you can

When the majority, whether singular or collective, agrees
that total destruction is the best option, they’ll be glad for the minority
that convinces them to refrain.
quora.com/Jennings-and-Welch-wrote-that-a-true-intellectual-is-therefore-always-an-outsider-living-in-self-imposed-exile-and-on-the-margins-of-society-Is-this-a-fair-or-a-rather-an-odd-way-of-describing-an-intellectual?

Discovering the-ineluctable-truth. For examples, the earth
is not flat and the sun will not come up tomorrow.
https://www.quora.com/Is-free-will-a-topic-of-morality-and-ethics-and-less-of-science?
Even the label “scientist” is deceiving.
https://www.quora.com/Why-do-foreigners-need-to-prove-their-value-in-their-host-society?
A nation neither needs nor wants aliens who intentionally or
not would destroy the nation. For this reason, a person cannot simply decide to
terminate the citizenship they have: it takes acceptance to change citizenship.
This is why citizens work so hard to prevent entry of
illegal aliens. (Beware Joe Biden.)
https://www.quora.com/What-are-the-most-powerful-things-in-our-existence?
Ultimately, it’s physics and its progeny. Within humankind
it’s the humble-integrity needed to constrain chaos on earth.
https://www.quora.com/Why-is-morality-deteriorating-in-contemporary-society?
The-ineluctable-truth delivers no mercy to erroneous
teamwork, solidarity, license-to liberty, and other Alinsky-Marxist
organizational (AMO) appeals.
AMO speakers can deceive, only if the listener co-operates.
https://www.quora.com/What-is-human-rights-to-you?
My interpretation today is: Phil Beaver practices the 5 U.S.
disciplines---integrity, justice, peace, strength, and prosperity, “in order
to” enjoy and encourage responsible human independence “to ourselves and our
posterity.”

What measures would you implement inside the classroom to promote
peace and avoid conflict?
Using humble-pedagogy or coaching-and-encouraging methods to
invite a nest of acceptances. That is to say, the teachers assume the student
will perfect their unique future-adult whom neither the teacher nor the student
can imagine.
From kindergarten through to grade 12 and beyond, teachers
gradually invite the student to accept: 1) being a person rather than an existence;
These principles are expressed in my view of the U.S.
preamble’s proposition “to ourselves and our Posterity.” I share my view hoping
to learn an improvement. It is: Phil
Beaver practices the 5 U.S. disciplines---integrity, justice, peace, strength,
and prosperity, “in order to” enjoy and encourage responsible human
independence “to ourselves and our [descendants and legal immigrants].”
A free and independent people have the humble-integrity to

https://www.quora.com/How-can-you-philosophically-prove-the-harm-principle?
I write to learn and would
appreciate comments.

https://www.quora.com/Why-do-so-many-people-want-democracy?
Why do so many people want democracy?

An ineluctably good citizen behaves for equity under
statutory justice. But not all citizens are willing to so behave. An immigrant
ought to consider and choose the people’s political proposition, or not join
the nation.
But what of a born citizen?
I only understand U.S. citizenship. It needs reform to the
above principle: Only the citizen who
chooses the behave according to the U.S. preamble’s people’s proposition ought
to receive a license to vote.

Are certain people more likely to succumb to believing
untruths, or what some refer to as B.S., more than others because of their
economic or political ideologic tendencies?

Worry
not
about: whose “is the kingdom of heaven”; who “will be comforted; who
“will inherit the land”; who “will be satisfied”; who “will be shown mercy”;
who “will see God”; or who “will be called children of God.” Behave to
constrain chaos in your person’s life-journey.

Focusing on your question, Ashwin
Krishna. A Google-Chrome search “strict interpretation” uncovers:
1. “Interpreting a legal provision (usually a

Modern beliefs control.
A Bing search uncovers:
3. “Strict interpretation is
an equivocal expression, for it means either literal or narrow. When a

Loose Interpretation. Thomas
