De-coding Anglo-American mind control

Phil Beaver seeks to collaborate on the-objective-truth, which can only be discovered. The comment box below invites readers to write.

"Civic" refers to citizens who collaborate for individual happiness with civic integrity more than for the city, state, nation, or society.

Consider writing a personal paraphrase of the preamble, which offers fellow citizens mutual appreciation:  For discussion, I convert the preamble’s predicate phrases to nouns and paraphrase it for my interpretation of its proposal as follows We the People of the United States proffer & practice 5 public disciplines —- integrity, justice, safety, strength, and prosperity, “in order to” encourage & facilitate responsible-human-independence “to ourselves and our Posterity”. I want to improve my interpretation by listening to other citizens and their interpretations yet would preserve the original, 1787, text, unless it is amended by the people.

It seems the Supreme Court occasionally refers to it, and no one has challenged whether or not the preamble is a legal statement. The fact that it changed this independent country from a confederation of states to a union of states deliberately managed by disciplined fellow citizens convinces me the preamble is legal. Equity in opportunity and outcome is shared by the people who collaborate for human justice.

Every citizen has equal opportunity to either trust-in and collaborate-on the goals stated in the preamble or be dissident to the agreement. I think 2/3 of citizens try somewhat to use the preamble but many do not articulate commitment to the goals. However, it seems less than 2/3 understand that “posterity” implies grandchildren. “Freedom of religion,” which fellow citizens have no means to discipline, oppresses freedom to develop integrity.

Selected theme from this week

De-coding Anglo-American mind control

On July 4, we’ll consider the 256th anniversary of the USA’s declaration of independence from England, initiated in 1774. In 1783 we the people of the United States won the freedom& liberty to, in 1787, propose domestic& foreign responsibility “to ourselves and our Posterity”.

An achievable better future is possible when most citizens practice, facilitate, and encourage responsible-human-independence (RHI). It’s not too late to accept the freedom& liberty to appreciate every fellow citizen.

We appreciate our tyrants --- the indolent, the criminal, and the corrupt --- by constraining them, in order to preserve their opportunity to reform before their person dies.

We can& may change the title “Statue of Liberty” to “Statue of Independence”.

Anyone who advocates "a vote for democracy" is unconstitutional, whether they like it or not. Article IV Section 4 reads "The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened), against domestic Violence." America is a constitutional republic and will remain so, in order to constrain the chaos that social-democracy, pure-democracy, or communism the rest of the world would like to impose on the U.S. civic faction: We the People of the United States.

Three essays illustrate my concern for at least 330 years of European-American-scholarly bemusement of the U.S. citizen.

First, Tuomas Malinen, in “The United States in Decline”[1], wrote, “the United States was founded [on] freedom and personal responsibility”. Neither “freedom” nor “personal responsibility” applies to the U.S. citizen. Freedom is bestowed by the winner in war. We, the civic-citizens of We the People of the United States won independence. But Congress granted itself freedom of religion, and so far, the generations have fallen for the ruse. The citizens of 2022 can& may reform to responsible-human-independence (RHI), the intentions stated in the preamble to the U.S. Constitution. We can& may revise the First Amendment’s practice clause to “or [promoting] the free exercise thereof.

Second, Michael Rectenwald, in “The Backstory of the Great Reset, or How to Destroy Classical Liberalism”[2], wrote, “The elite subversion of the free-market system and republican democracy [is not newly developed].” The U.S. is not “republican democracy”; it is a constitutional republic that intends to develop statutory justice “to ourselves and our Posterity”.

Third, Carl Eric Scott, in “The Five Conceptions of American Liberty”[3], bemuses readers with blinding scholarship to the choir. Who can assimilate the five definitions?

1.    the protection of natural rights, or “natural-rights liberty”

2.    self-governance of a group, or “classical-communitarian liberty”

3.    economic individualism, or “economic-autonomy liberty”

4.    the social justice of the national community, “progressive liberty”, and

5.    moral individualism, or “personal-autonomy liberty.”

Scott distracts the reader to John Locke yet does not share that Locke’s “natural rights” regards the individual Locke-God-property with no right to diminish the person, whether by submission to arbitrary government or by suicide: nobody dares lessen Locke-God property. What government can warrant the-High-God its property? Communitarianism opposes RHI. Economic-autonomy is ruinous isolationism. Progressivism is social democracy, or chaos opposing the constitutional republic. Personal-autonomy is moral only when a person perceives self-interest in civic-integrity (or human-necessity& justice). I once claimed to be a classical liberal plus fiscal conservative and now develop the civic-integrity required for RHI.

I maintain a glossary of terms intended to relieve fellow-citizens of scholarly bemusement or take brainwashing out of public discourse --- spoil the scholarly choir. It is posted on my blog, at A Civic People for readers to improve. Language that expresses the-ineluctable-truth appeals to the experiences& observations of civic-citizens and preserves the tyrant’s opportunity to reform to RHI or better before their death.

Margo, this training reminds me of the strength and resiliency of my birth family and Cynthia’s birth family. When government is the enemy, civic-citizens can& may return to gardening& canning.

"Freedom& liberty", "common good", "Locke-God's property" reformed to "pursuit of happiness", and other Anglo-American propaganda cannot constrain responsible-human-independence (RHI).

This July 4, I'll be practicing, facilitating, and encouraging RHI. Let We the People of the United States change "Statue of Liberty" to "Statue of Independence".

In 2 weeks, we’ll consider the 256th anniversary of the USA’s declaration of independence from England. In 1783 we the People of the United States won the freedom& liberty to, in 1787, propose responsibility “to ourselves and our Posterity”. An achievable better future is possible when most citizens practice, facilitate, and encourage RHI: responsible-human-independence. It’s not too late to accept the freedom& liberty to appreciate every fellow citizen.

Thank you, Shipbuilder, for expressing that point.

England would have us say "Long live the queen"; the administration is saying "Long rule the Democrats"; Anglo-American traditionalists neglectfully say “the Lord will provide” on earth; and coalitions are saying "Long reign democracy".

The U.S. is a constitutional republic. Fellow citizens who hear "social democracy" can& may adopt the self-interest to reform from an organization's quest for power – can& may each practice responsible-human-independence.

Thank you, Starlyn for speaking.

To Cleve:

I don't think so. Everywhere I go, I enjoy order& goodwill. I only read about tyranny: indolence, crime, and public oppression, such as democrats' unconstitutional actions. In other words, it's hard to imagine the USA the media promotes.

After 50 years' subscription, a few years ago, I stopped paying the Advocate, the Baton Rouge newspaper, convinced that their business plan works to replace this constitutional republic with a social democracy.

Likewise, when personal appreciation is not returned, I accept the other party’s rejection. Since then, I view civic strangers, acquaintances, and old friends as persons I appreciate.

I appreciate the miracle of your wonderful responsibilities and family of four.

At age 79, I feel like a newborn, because I appreciate each person, as they are, where they are. For fellow citizens who live tyranny --- indolents, criminals, and corrupt politicians, I pay the taxes to constrain them and to develop statutory justice when unjust enforcement is discovered. Without constraint, fellow-citizens who are tyrants have no opportunity to reform to responsible-human-independence.

For example, last week, I listened and talked with an itinerate preacher. I suggested he accept the mysteries, "God" and "Holy Spirit", so as to share the practical Jesus without bemusing the listener. When he added "Satan" to the conversation, I thanked him for reminding me of a fourth mystery. He counted and asked what the fourth was. I answered, "the peace Jesus offered”: I don't know what peace is, because safety& security is a full-time task. The preacher told me I'm going to Hell. I said, 'Ah hah: A fifth mystery. Thank you." I'm praying for that preacher as I write.

The notion that safety& security is human-being duty is not original by me. I think it comes from Sumer -- the inventors of the wheel, writing, and law codes -- expressed by Hebrew scholars in Genesis 1:28. Perhaps humankind, in 2022, is coming to grips with Genesis-1’s responsible-human-independence.

No way can America allow Pence to either select a running mate or be a running mate. He’d do himself a great service by withdrawing from the political scene.

quora.com/How-do-you-promote-freedom-and-reason-within-a-society-that-seems-to-be-highly-polarized? by Graham C Lindsay

The question: How do you promote freedom and reason within a society that seems to be highly polarized?

My opinion: I don’t think freedom and reason are desirable goals and prefer integrity to responsible-human-independence (RHI).

Freedom is offered by the winner of war or mob rule and reason attempts to rationalize lies.

The pursuit of RHI is what distinguishes the civic faction of We the People of the United States, generally thought to be a totalitarian entity.

Humankind is polarized as civic-citizens vs tyrants. Tyranny includes indolence, crime, and oppression.

At the doctor, assured& responsive,

At church, happily contrarian,

At the park, mutually supportive,

At the computer, wary,

At the movies, curious,

At the voting booth, self-interested& trusting,

At seeking, passionate,

At transparent conversation, in heaven,

On the road, cautious,

On earth, awed& intent,

Approaching death, accepting.

quora.com/Why-is-honesty-important-in-ethics? by Issah Mohammed

Mohammed, you ask a profound question.

I offer a contrarian response, asking a different question: Why is integrity important to safety& security?

Consider Mike Pence’s January 6, 2021 betrayal, only now coming into public debate. On January 4, he judged himself a witness for Jesus then on January 6, he betrayed his U.S. office by not accepting a direct order from the U.S. Commander-in-Chief.

The U.S. Constitution, Article II, Section 3 says [the U.S. Commander-in-Chief] “shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed”. The civic-citizens – We the People of the United States – assign legislation to Congress, constitutional reliability to the Court, and execution to the President.

Tyrants do all they can to ruin the U.S. Many judges and lawyers care not what the U.S. Constitution demands. Most citizens lamely assign safety& security to their personal God.

Institutional religion cares not about safety& security. For perhaps 5,500 years, humankind has warred under the suggestion that Gods may inspire pride and political philosophers may proffer peace. Only human-beings can& may provide safety& security on earth.

The political-philosopher-Jesus affirmed Genesis 1:26-28, a Sumerian practice. Jesus said each: pursuing security on earth existed before Abraham; support heaven under the-High-God and secure earth under civic leaders; become psychologically perfect like the-High-God; remain as open-minded& open-hearted as a child; and expressed much more practical guidance. To claim the human-being cannot perform is to deny Jesus’s message: you can& may.

No man justly-claims to witness for Jesus in order to betray his commander-in-chief and country. No man can witness for Jesus, and I don’t claim to. I write my opinion.

quora.com/How-would-you-define-a-successful-person-in-todays-society? by Han Ni

Human success begins with the person acquiring the comprehension& intention to develop a complete life, both chronologically& psychologically. Entering young adulthood, they accumulate choices that inform them in responsible-human-independence (RHI). By never repeating mistakes, they perfect their unique person during their life.

RHI is informed by the-ineluctable-truth and therefore does not respond to social avoidance, change, or resistance.

quora.com/unanswered/What-are-the-essential-requirements-of-a-just-modern-law? by Wadzanai Nemaramba

U.S. felllow-citizens can& may reform the law, in order to develop evidentiary adjudication rather than to preserve legal tradition; Anglo-American tradition.

Most homo sapiens comprehend each person is responsible for safety& security on earth. Call them civic-citizens, where “civic” refers to reliability in connections& transactions. Within them, so far, only a few practice, facilitate, and encourage responsible-human-independence (RHI).

There are two requisites of civic-citizenship. First, the civic-citizen neither initiates nor accommodates harm to or from anyone or any institution. Accommodation is tested by each: passivity, emotions, and lack of intention. The passive civic-citizen fails to constrain harm for reasons they perceived& accepted. The emotional civic-citizen sympathizes with the perpetrator. Lack of intention precludes self-defense. Second, the civic-citizen earns their way of living pays local, state, and federal taxes yet fails to accept responsibility for safety& security on earth. For just modern law, more civic-citizens can& may accept RHI.

Unfortunately, not every person wants responsibility. Some prefer dependency; such as indolence, crime, or tyranny. Necessity& justice demand that civic-citizens constrain dependent fellow-citizens. Few civic-citizens chose to constrain when necessary. These few act in responsible-human-independence (RHI). A nation can& may steadily demonstrate the individual self-interest to reform from dependency to civic-citizenship and on to RHI.

There are two approaches for national survival: pursue a totalitarian utopia or develop a republican form of government with responsible rule of law. The present emphasis on social-democracy invites traditional chaos, and the U.S. is experiencing divergence as I write.

Citizens in a constitutional republic can pursue responsible rule of law. There are 3 requirements. First, adjudication can& may be based on ineluctable-evidence. “Ineluctable” means “not to be avoided, changed, or resisted”. Some courts develop law on precedent, which tends to preserve error:  Injustice prevails until the erroneous precedent is corrected. Ineluctable-evidence is sufficient to negate erroneous precedent and can& may not be over-called by majority opinion. Taking no action is an option when evidence is not ineluctable. For example, don’t kill an intruder when notification/constraint is sufficient. Second, mystery cannot influence adjudication. Mystery is constructed when the evidence is undiscovered and speculation seems reasonable. For example, some people think the consequences of human choice are controlled by the-Higher-God. Rational canon, such as ecclesiastical doctrine, cannot influence much less dominate constitutional law. Third, statutory justice sustains RHI. When unjust law is discovered, correction must be quick, precise, accurate, and deep. The court discovers the injustice and the Congress legislates reform. Pursuing statutory justice, fellow-citizens may share increasing order& prosperity rather than divergent chaos: dependent fellow-citizens may perceive not inviting law-enforcement, civic-citizens may observe self-interest in RHI, and the RHI-faction steadily increases. With developing participation, a RHI-culture looms politically possible.

Together, fellow-citizens practice, facilitate, and encourage RHI “to ourselves and our Posterity”, quoting the preamble to the U.S. Constitution. Just modern law develops RHI.

quora.com/unanswered/Where-can-I-find-essays-on-human-rights? by Devan Dean Kakaka

I appreciate your interest. I hope after substantial reading you will agree that homo sapiens self-interest is best served by responsible-human-independence (RHI) rather than promised rights. My suggestions for reading span perhaps 5,500 years.

Genesis 1 is a Hebrew report derived from ancient Sumerian polytheistic political philosophy. I speculate that their succession of kings established and developed the theory that the-Higher-God, perhaps An, was in charge of the heavens. However, the Gods could not provide safety& security on earth. But homo-sapiens can& may pursue order& prosperity, constrained by the laws of physics. Adopting RHI, the Sumerians prospered until iron weapons emerged.

Selectively quoting Genesis 1:26-28, “. . . let us make mankind in our image . . . so that they may rule . . . male and female [they] created them. Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it.” I think male and female homo sapiens is responsible for safety and security on earth. I think the Sumerian codes of law may be more instructive to RHI than the Holy Bible.

Consider the dots: homo sapiens branched off 300,000 years ago; a sapiens group settled in Mesopotamia some 10,000 years ago and civilized as Sumerians; accepting RHI, they invented the wheel, writing, cities built on reed mats, irrigation, law codes, cosmology, and many other wonders for their time; they dispersed 4,000 years ago about the time monotheism began to dominate polytheism; 3,000 years ago, a group established Israel with its competitive monotheism among others including what became Islam; 2,000 years ago, writers variously extolled political activist Jesus of Judah-tribe and Christianity emerged; 1600 years ago various Bible canon issued, and a Protestant one came on board 470 years ago; now, there are some 45,000 Protestant sects in the world. Monotheism has produced divergent chaos rather than order and prosperity exemplified by Sumerian RHI.

Plato’s Apology, Crito, and Phaedo, and if possible the rest of the Dialogues, free online, facilitate formation of personal opinion as to Socrates’ RHI in dying; I think he chose death to reliably defend the rule of statutory law, even when adjudication is erroneous. If studied under a professor, it’s less likely the reader will reach personal opinion. Socrates’ story also reflects the folly of governmental promises to honor “human rights”, whatever each – government and citizen -- claims.

John Locke’s “Two Treatises of Government” claim that a person is the-High-God’s property and therefore cannot be denied “natural rights” Locke enumerates as life, liberty and property of God. Thomas Paine’s “The Rights of Man” applies Lockean principles to the French Revolution. Edmund Burke’s “Reflections on the Revolution in France” defends British traditionalism – America’s curse so far.

Benjamin Franklin’s Autobiography seems a primer in the self-interest of RHI. Ralph Waldo Emerson’s “Self-Reliance” presents his views on individual independence or RHI.

The intentions sentence in the preamble to the U.S. Constitution proposes continual RHI development as time marches. The Federalist Papers inform the living citizen to draw their own conclusions as to how their life may aid “ourselves and our Posterity”.

I think the present age of disrupters and domestic terrorists being given immunity by the Democrat Party is an unintended consequence of a collective outcome of the 1791 Bill of Rights: 1) legislative and judicial attempts to preserve Anglo-American tradition rather than to develop the intentions proffered in the preamble, 2) fiscal conservatives erroneously aligning with religious conservatives when the Republican Party formed, 3) classical liberals mistaking social-democracy for constitutional republican justice, and 4) civic-citizens waiting for their-God to usurp personal responsibility for safety and security in the USA if not on earth. The ancient Sumerian RHI can& may be considered.

“Civic” refers to reliable personal connections and transactions. Some fellow citizens prefer indolence, crime, and tyranny to civic-reliability. The civic citizens can& may constrain dependents so as to develop a RHI culture rather than wait an eternity for the-High-God to deliver “human rights”.

I hope this helps.

Selected theme from this week

Does “the-High-God” express what constrains the consequences of personal choice?

This week, I asked Nalepa and Beard if my phrase “the-God” is mere bemusement or the intended suggestion:  Human-beings can& may reserve sufficient humility rather than claim to know God.

My hope, for the listener who considers the dilemma, is to follow with my opinion that the-God is whatever-controls-the-consequences-of-human-choice. It seems sufficient to take Crombie’s resolution:  We don’t know.

If pressed for my speculation:  The-God or the-High-Gopd could be the-laws-of-physics; yet I don’t know.

quora.com/Is-political-correctness-the-enemy-of-freedom-of-speech-and-telling-the-truth? by Mr. Y.C

I try to interpret words and phrases so that they address integrity to human connections and transactions rather than popular perceptions.

Let’s define “political-correctness” to mean integrity in human connections and transactions. Next, free-speech intends no harm to human connections and transactions.

Then, political-correctness poses no threat to reaching the truth.

It’s only when political-correctness serves an agenda of favor to one group that the truth is compromised.

For example, the long-standing Judeo-Christian tradition bemuses humility toward the-High-God, whatever that entity may be (I speculate it is the-laws-of-physics). Pride in a doctrinal God is a leap I would not take.

quora.com/What-will-America-be-like-in-2024/answer/Phil-Beaver-1? From 2019

Of course I have no idea what America will be like tomorrow much less 5 years from now. However, I know that I have been working on a dream into my sixth year now, and see progress.

The dream is that most American citizens, at least 2/3, will collaborate during their lives using the U.S. preamble’s proposition to order public issues. And also use the-objective-truth as the standard for continually developing statutory justice. This leading-edge articulation of the dream may represent the past six years’ work at public libraries (with appreciation to over 70 collaborators, positive and negative) plus a lifetime of study to pursue my individual interests.

The U.S. preamble’s proposition I interpret as: We, a civic people of the united states pursue statutory justice in the USA using self-discipline for integrity, justice, safety, defense, and prosperity so as to secure responsible-human-independence (RHI) to living individuals.

Statutory justice, a worthy goal, may be developed by collaborating to discover and benefit from the-objective-truth---the ineluctable evidence by which truth is judged. Individuals who are distracted by public insistence on a religion, a political cause, or other personal objective that is not only not shared but perhaps opposed by fellow citizens are not contributing to the discovery of statutory justice.

In my first half-century, “Mother, God, and Country: This is America: Love it or leave it” was good enough for me. I relied on attention to the Declaration of Independence to distract me from considering the U.S. preamble. An eastern-seaboard colonial-British tradition held my person in distraction from the revolutionary U.S. preamble’s proposition: RHI.

Starting from Magna Carta, 561 years English oppression led to the 1774 Continental Congress’s Declaration of Independence from England in 1776. France helped win the continental war. Consequently the 1783 Treaty of Paris is the global announcement that the 13 eastern-seaboard former British-colonies were free and independent states.

The confederation of states did not serve the people---was dysfunctional. So 12 of 13 states met for four months in 1787 and specified a nation with its purpose expressed in the 52 word U.S. preamble’s proposition: individual self-discipline to encourage RHI. Thus, the sequence is 561 years to 1776, 12 years to 1788’s ratification of the U.S. preamble’s proposition. The generations since then have left us the privilege of establishing the USA under the U.S. preamble’s proposition.

Fellow citizens of 2022 who want RHI; mutual, comprehensive safety and security; relief from conflict for dominant opinion despite the-objective-truth; and individual happiness with civic integrity will help the dream happen. In time, “ourselves and our Posterity” may approach the-ineluctable-truth. “Ineluctable” means “not to be avoided, changed, or resisted”. If you like this message, help it go viral, because under divergent chaos we need 220 million Americans who practice, facilitate, and encourage RHI.

Major update on June 7, 2022 after posting on May 13, 2019.

I choose to pursue the-ineluctable-truth. The hyphens encourage preservation of the expression. The article “the” is necessary for precision, accuracy, and depth. “Ineluctable” means “not to be avoided, changed, or resisted”. None of its 3 characteristics can be omitted. Inescapable and other modifiers are no substitutes for “ineluctable”. That is, synonyms and other definitions are inadequate.

However, it is useful, as you’ll see, to consider the usage frequency for each “inescapable” and “ineluctable”. The ngram viewer (Google it) for English (see dropdown) shows a debate in 1550-1575, with “ineluctable” usage 50% higher. The British-English viewer shows the “ineluctable” peak in 1573 but no “inescapable” usage in that century. The American-English shows the “inescapable” peak in 1552 and “ineluctable” peaking in 1652, 100% more than the 1573 peak. I can’t explain the 1573 peak.

Does the sequence suggest European-Protestant debate about ineluctable/inescapable believer-election/rejection by Christianity's God -- related to German Antinomians of 1535 -- and percolating in 1652 America? I happily consider my person elect to promote Jesus’s advice we can glean from contemporarily updated experiences and observations of homo sapiens.

Both “the ineluctable truth” and “the inescapable” truth leave the abscissas in 1900, the latter at 10 times the usage in 2019. I suggest that “inescapable” offers escape that the rational person can& may choose; arrogance perpetuates the repression of "ineluctable". Humankind suffers the consequence.

The ngrams do not assess local, temporal dictionaries. In 2022, online, Merriam-Webster reports “ineluctable” usage: “not to be avoided, changed, or resisted”. American Heritage has “Not to be avoided or escaped; inevitable”. Oxford Learner’s has “that you cannot avoid”. Collins has “that cannot be stopped, escaped, or ignored”. Chambers has “not to be overcome or escaped from”.

Etymology is elusive. There’s 1615–25; from Latin inēluctābilis, “to force a way out or over, surmount” and luctārī “to wrestle”. That leaves the 1550s usage unexplained and favors “escape”.

In evidentiary perspective, I admit to myself “I don’t know” when that remains so. I speak opinion without drawing conclusion, when no action is preferred. If I am being attacked, whether physically or psychologically, I may act if I deem necessity. For example, I would protect my person and family from injury.

The-ineluctable-truth exists and justifies neither rationality, arrogance, revelation, nor mystery. Without ineluctable evidence, it is prudent to accept, “I don’t know”. If action seems necessary, justice is in the agent’s hands.

I perceive discovery of the-ineluctable-truth when repeatable evidence affirms factual reality that conforms to the interconnected laws of physics. The continuum of human experience and observations adds persuasion. For example, it seems the-God is whatever constrains the consequences of human choice. For all I know, the-God is the laws of physics. I accept that I may be wrong to express my opinion.

The human-individual can& may choose to constrain chaos in their way of living. Each person who practices, facilitates, and encourages constraint aids humankind’s duty to pursue safety& security on earth.

The popular folly I perceive is that most fellow citizens want to ignore the Alinsky-Marxist organized (AMO) protesters. AMO soldiers are violent disruptors, and Trump courageously stands up to them. Neither "Stand down, Proud Boys" nor "stop their disruption and I'll pay your legal fees" will cause me to vote for a candidate I think is a worse choice than Trump, such as Biden. I am on deck for my 5th vote for Trump. However, his running mate cannot be a proud Christian. They cannot be trusted, as Pence proved.
Read with delight a 2018 article: realclearpolitics.com/articles/2018/10/15/a_democratic_kick_in_their_own_shins_138349.html#! It omits Biden's 2016 wish to take Trump behind the gym.

Among humankind, “civic” means reliability in personal connections and transactions.

The-High-God inspires appreciation.

The practical-Jesus of human experience and observations facilitates and encourages peace.

The civic-citizen, even the helpless, practices, facilitates, and encourages safety and security, including statutory justice, in order to responsibly pursue personal happiness.

Dependents get signals to either reform or risk civil/natural constraint.

The problem Harvey did not perceive is that Congress, in 1789 granted itself freedom of religion at the people's expense and codified it in 1791. Ike exacerbated the harm in 1954. We, the civic-people of the United States can end the misery by amending the First Amendment.

Some Bible students are elect to believe a God. They promote their God's mysteries for personal reasons, assuming the-God approves. During our childhood at Staub School, I read the last page of the Bible and opined, "I'm not interested in a God who perceives such weakness as to threaten me." (Only now do I articulate what I then felt.)

I never found ways to give the Holy Spirit much thought, yet developed motivation and inspiration to comprehend and intend life.

When my Baton Rouge Baptist church offended my Catholic wife, Cynthia, she said with typical serene confidence "The married-couples class can bash Catholics all they want. I won't be there." Eventually, I withdrew from the Baptist brotherhood and from Christianity. I trust-in and commit-to the-ineluctable-truth. Through it all, I never lost practice, facilitation, and encouragement to guide modern behavior on the practical good Jesus seems to have expressed.

For example, from Matthew 19:5 on divorcing wife: Recall that the creator provided man and woman; therefore, the man shall leave his mother and father and unite to his wife. As I see it, that Jesus-advice extends to the spousal children, grandchildren, and beyond. That is, the man is reliable to her-ova derived spousal-family for life.

Another: The creator made you capable; therefore you can& may be perfect as a person. For the same reason, you can& may pursue safety& security to everything on earth. Another: Before Abraham was born, influence to the-good existed. Another: Appreciate and support the commander in chief to promote safety and security on earth and appreciate the-creator regarding mystery -- unknowns.

These particular Jesus influences each affirms Genesis 1:28's message: Each person can& may constrain chaos in the way they live. Good practices may be discerned by knowing what is attributed to him and sharing with contemporary fellow-citizens experiences and observations that may extend Jesus' influence to the-good.

I returned to my Baptist church as a friend, and after six months feel the silence of "heretic", much as I heard directly in the 1980s. It is difficult to accept the obvious, but wokism and political correctness began with European Christianity. (There are 45,000 Protestant sects worldwide:  Satan need not divide believers when Christianity serves so well.)

The United States had its chance in 1787 to stop Christianity's ruin here. However, Massachusetts and South Carolina each demanded a Bill of Rights, and subsequent ratifying states joined the demand. Free inhabitants were 99% factional-American Protestants. Just 235 years later, U.S. citizens have no safety& security.

This morning, inspired to take action by my friend Chris Nalepa, I wrote an actual proposal to amend the First Amendment as follows: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or [promoting] the free exercise thereof.” In other words, if religion inspires a person to break statutory law, the law stands.

When the time comes, I hope civic-citizens will support the amendment, knowing they appreciate both their God and the-God and safety& security is their responsibility.

Appreciation: the key to an achievable better future

PM, thank you for transparent, rich sharing.

Paul is one of my least appreciated Bible writers. I think he suffers. He did not marry a reliable-woman for life. Did not try to be her spousal-half to secure safety& security to their spouse-hood and their ova, conceptions, children& descendants (that's "to", as in Matt 19:5, not "with"). And it's for life by each half of the spouse-hood.

Moreover, I think Paul suffered pride, as in ". . . achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all”. All? Really?

The fact that I hold these opinions does not make them the-ineluctable-truth. Ineluctable means "not to be avoided, changed, or resisted".

How can we become a better society?

Appreciation.

Appreciate the-God for necessity in civic-integrity.

Appreciate Jesus’ political-philosophy: “Peace unto you”.

Appreciate civic-citizens for each: safety& security, statutory-justice to facilitate& encourage reform to dependent fellow-citizens, and taxes to support helpless fellow human-beings.

Appreciate the self-interest to constrain chaos in personal living.

I found Greg Locke not my type at wikipediabio.com/pastor-greg-locke-wikipedia/and on a podcast. I speculate that behind every story of power& wealth is obsession with sex. I voted 4 times for Trump as the multiple lesser-lesser-lesser of 2 evils. My 5th vote is in jeopardy yet on deck.

Campbell at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Will_Campbell_(Baptist_minister) seems a person you'd like to know to aid safety& security on earth.

I like one sentence in particular: "He is considered aligned with more recent postliberal theologians, who denounce the liberal (as well as conservative) esteem for civil society as a misplaced faith, a form of idolatry taking the place of God and Jesus Christ in Christian life." I suspect Campbell might not agree with the postliberal's claim.

"Civil society" constrains an interested reader to beg many definitions in the above quote.

What rules and what faction of humankind: what rulable faction? I work to persuade a civic humankind, where "civic" refers to reliability in every human connection& transaction more than conformity to rule& law.

That said, theology is an avocation that can misplace faith: the-God is a mystery and Jesus seems comprehensible. The Holy Spirit and the human soul increase the mystery. For a person to tether their one chance in life to theology, such as "the Christian life", does not seem prudent. And Christian practices affirm the mystery: for example, there are 45,000 Protestant sects on earth. Trust-in and commitment-to physics& its-progeny seems viable for one human life, whereas Christianity has been divergent for 2020 odd years. Theology developed divergent chaos.

Since the-God and the Holy Spirit are mysteries, their contributions to a person's soul-mystery can be happily accepted (I accept mine). In other words, anything a person does to improve the mysteries must be the-mystery no human-being owns. Therefore, the Bible-student can& may focus on practical guidance from Jesus. By studying reported circumstances wherein statements are attributed to Jesus, "ourselves and our Posterity" can mimic and further develop Jesus-guidance. (It's new to me, so I don't have a developed list, but so far, it seems Jesus-guidance affirms Genesis 1:28's message: humankind is charged with safety& security on earth. Like it or not, the mature human being practices responsible-human-independence (RHI). I speculate that Ralph Waldo Emerson was correct when he said Jesus meant: the human-being can perfect his/her person.

Finally, which liberal and which conservative. I think humankind can& may accommodate every person's path to RHI. And to preserve that opportunity, humankind can& may constrain persons who pursue dependency, whether indolence or tyranny. Just as it’s OK for a person to pursue spectator sports, they may pursue civil society as long as they maintain civic-integrity.

I shared my reaction to the cited sentence, hoping to learn from comments. I do not know the-ineluctable-truth, and together, we may approach its discovery.

Each moment, no one can constrain chaos in your way of living if you don't.

facebook.com/chris.nalepa.7 May 2, 2022

Chris, I could not agree more. I have studied for decades to understand why Americans don't appreciate America and think elite preservation of Anglo-American tradition is the problem.

Some British loyalists returned to England after the USA war for independence. However, some loyalists had not the will or power to return. A powerful, small faction resisted ratification of the 1787 draft constitution without a mimic of England's 1689 Bill of Rights.

Nine of 13 states agreed to authorize the first Congress to amend the draft. Two states joined before operations began on March 4, 1789 under 11 states. Thus, framing of the U.S. constitution passed from brilliant, closed-door negotiation to political circus. Three more states joined later. The outcome was the U.S. Bill of Rights, ratified on December 15, 1791 by 10 of 14 states.

The First Amendment grants to Congress freedom of religion, empowering Christians to be as liberal as they choose. For example, Catholic Congresspersons can rule against doctrine and still receive the body of Christ. Meanwhile, many English citizens no longer cling to the Church of England.

An even worse example is the U.S. Supreme Court opining 6:3 that states criminal jury verdicts must be 12:0, grounding their vote on 14th century English law when 1967 English law approved 10:2 verdicts to reduce organized-crime's influences.

Appreciating your call "think for yourself" I'd like to add "in your civic self-interest". "Civic" refers to reliability in person-to-person connections and transactions, which is prerequisite to civil fidelity. In other words, civic corrects civil.

It is in the U.S. citizen's self-interest to amend the First Amendment so as to practice, facilitate, and encourage civic-integrity and end Congressional religion.
