A First Amendment that promoes civic integrity might improve the Supreme Court

Phil Beaver seeks to collaborate on the-objective-truth, which can only be discovered. The comment box below invites readers to write.

"Civic" refers to citizens who collaborate for individual happiness with civic integrity more than for the city, state, nation, or society.

Consider writing a personal paraphrase of the preamble, which offers fellow citizens mutual equality:  For discussion, I convert the preamble’s predicate phrases to nouns and paraphrase it for my interpretation of its proposal as follows:  This good citizen practices the U.S. disciplines---integrity, justice, peace, strength, and prosperity, "in order to” develop responsible human-independence “to ourselves and our Posterity.  I want to improve my interpretation by listening to other citizens and their interpretations yet would preserve the original, 1787, text, unless it is amended by the people.

It seems the Supreme Court occasionally refers to it, and no one has challenged whether or not the preamble is a legal statement. The fact that it changed this independent country from a confederation of states to a union of states deliberately managed by disciplined fellow citizens convinces me the preamble is legal. Equity in opportunity and outcome is shared by the people who collaborate for human justice.

Every citizen has equal opportunity to either trust-in and collaborate-on the goals stated in the preamble or be dissident to the agreement. I think 2/3 of citizens try somewhat to use the preamble but many do not articulate commitment to the goals. However, it seems less than 2/3 understand that “posterity” implies grandchildren. “Freedom of religion,” which fellow citizens have no means to discipline, oppresses freedom to develop integrity.

Selected theme from this week

A First Amendment that promotes civic integrity might improve the Supreme Court

The U.S. Supreme Court pretends to defend the law: the U.S. Constitution and the consequential legislation. However, they support the imposition of religious opinion in order to justify English precedents rather than submit to the intentions of the combination of the 1776 declaration of war against England and the 1787 U.S. Constitution. It comports to the Genesis 1:27-28 charge to female&male-human-being to independently constrain chaos on earth.

The Court should have in 1791 informed the Congress that their religion-Congress-partnership is tyranny to the above 3 documents and against We the People of the United Sates. Their sorry opinion in Greece v Galloway (2014) calls my concern “niggling”.

I think so. It isn’t easy, but the discipline needed to constrain opinion has been suggested.

It isn’t easy, because proffered culture to pursue the-ineluctable-truth has not been established. That is, there is no civilization developing humble-integrity whereby a person may measure their personal-integrity.

First, physics and its progeny, including imagination and psychology, exist. The human being may accept three responsibilities--- individual power, individual energy, and individual authority (HIPEA) and use HIPEA to develop humble-integrity to the-ineluctable-truth rather than to tolerate infidelity to their-person. I call this concept “responsible-human-independence” using the hyphens to urge readers not to modify the phrase.

A culture of humble-integrity develops statutory justice by which to constrain fellow-citizens who tolerate infidelity. Infidelity emerges when a person chooses metaphysics to guide behavior; metaphysics is human construct that attempts to defy the-ineluctable-evidence. The person who stops believing “I don’t know”, when they don’t know, may attempt to defy physics or become a civic-infidel.

The civic-infidel can restore civic-citizenship the moment they perceive self-interest in humble-integrity. Then, nothing prevents them from perfecting their unique human-being before mind, body, and person stop functioning.

I wish I had been reared in a culture of humble-integrity. Instead, I live in a nation that until now is unintentionally dominated by religious opinion.

By combining the founder’s claims in the 1776 declaration of war against England with the framers’ civil order specified in the 1787 U.S. constitution, the entity We the People of the United States intends 5 public disciplines “in order to” develop responsible-human-independence “to ourselves and our Posterity”. The disciplines are integrity, justice, peace, strength, and prosperity.

The 1776 and 1787 combination conform to the charge to female&male-human-being in Genesis 1:27-28: constrain chaos on earth. The author claims the charge was delivered by God. Failing to accept the self-interest of humble-integrity, most civilizations struggle to subjugate the God rather than practice responsible-human-independence. They suffer infidelity.

The political philosophy in Genesis 1:27-28 separates church and state; metaphysics and physics; belief and humility. In conformity, the 1776 and 1787 combination separates church and state. However, Congress, in 1791, defied all three documents to impose a religion-Congress-partnership.

The “ourselves and our Posterity” of 2021 must hold Congress accountable for the tyranny of civil religious-opinion. Before 2022, reform the First Amendment from “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof . . .” to “No elected or appointed official in the United States will act to constrain individual or national development of civic integrity” or better. With this provision, fellow citizens, including Congresspersons can practice religious opinion in privacy and defend the U.S. Constitution in public.

Readers who want this reform, please write your Congressperson and Senators with your own developed arguments and proposal. Take seriously the opportunity to reform by 2022.

Your “real right or wrong” is derived from the-ineluctable-evidence rather than opinion. Attempts to base U.S. Supreme Court opinion on the law, especially obsolete English common law, will continue the U.S. journey to chaos.

FB add on: The U.S. Supreme Court’s opinion that they preserve the law will maintain the divergent chaos we are in, unless the-ineluctable-truth becomes the standard for Court decisions. The U.S. Constitution is amendable, the intention is that “our Posterity” will set the standards for responsible-human-independence, and amended law will approach statutory justice as fast as possible.

I don’t think so.

Every human ovum is unique, and the steps in forming a human-being do not lessen the individuality. Every human infant has the individual power, the individual energy, and the individual authority (HIPEA) to develop self-interest or tolerate infidelity. Some persons choose to pursue humble-integrity as a standard of behavior. Most don’t and thereby invite infidelity rather than perfection of their person.

Absolutely; in my opinion (I don’t know the-ineluctable-truth).

He amazed me with his application of the advice in Matthew 7:6, in my view: “Don’t give to [Democrats] what is known, and don’t throw your strategy to the pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, then turn and attack you.”

His undoing is the Christian-GOP pigs, whom he did not recognize as the principal cause of the competitive swamp. Mike Pence “witnessed” for Jesus Christ, a mystery no human-being knows and thus cannot witness-for, on January 4, 2021, then betrayed the U.S. Commander-in-Chief, his former election-mate, on January 6. Only We the People of the United States can end such tyranny against Genesis 1:26-27 (the Jesus of “I AM” the author?), the 1776 Declaration, and the 1787 Constitution.

We, the 2021 “ourselves and our Posterity” must amend the First Amendment so as to promote civic integrity rather than religious opinion. And the amended First Amendment must apply to all elected and appointed officials in the U.S., rather than Congress only. We need this done before 2022.

I hope Trump runs and wins in 2024. I would need proof of voluntary behavior as a member of We the People of the United States, as proffered in the preamble, for any Christian who might want to be the running mate. (Mormons, as saints, cannot submit to the U.S. Constitution; Romney?) I never trusted Pence, yet was gravely disappointed that he does not separate church and state, in conformity to Genesis 1:27-28.

I write to learn and would appreciate comments.

FB add on: President Trump embodied peace through strength, excepting voluntary dependence on the Christians who don’t want separation of church and state.

I have urged the Louisiana legislature to add enforcement to an excellent statement in Article 1 of the State constitution:

“§7. Freedom of Expression Section 7. No law shall curtail or restrain the freedom of speech or of the press. Every person may speak, write, and publish his sentiments on any subject, but is responsible for abuse of that freedom.”

For example, it should be clear that if someone starts a panic that results in injury or death, they should suffer law enforcement. A church that nurtures a couple who orphan their children by poisonous-snake handling ought to be criminally prosecuted. Similarly, false press (fake news) that directly causes injury or death should suffer law enforcement.

Political lies that do not cause injury must be allowed so that the liars can expose themselves. On the other hand, lying by a Supreme Court Justice should cause impeachment.

Lastly, the First Amendment needs reform so as to promote humble-integrity rather than support religious-opinion.

I write to learn and would appreciate comments.

https://www.quora.com/Is-the-term-integrity-often-confused-with-the-core-values-of-justice-fairness-and-honesty-upon-which-a-person-maintains-his-integrity? by Viktor Bondarchuk

Maybe so.

I think the principal problem is pride in personal-integrity rather than commitment-to humble-integrity, the standard. With sufficient humility, a person accepts “I don’t know” when they don’t know. If knowing is critical, they do the work to discover the-ineluctable-truth, provided it has been discovered. If not, “I don’t know” remains appropriate.

A question made critical by human construct is: Does God exist? To reserve sufficient humility to whatever controls the unfolding of the universe, it seems prudent to accept “I don’t know.” Or, consider Gottfried Wilhelm Leibnitz’ question: Why is there something? Again, accepting “I don’t know” seems prudent.

Many questions can be positively answered. Is the earth flat? No, it’s like a globe. Will the sun come out tomorrow? No, the earth’s rotation on its axis will unhide the sun tomorrow. With no dense clouds, the sun will be visible while the earth continues to spin at 1100 mph to the evening re-hiding.

I have trouble with the decision to “believe” something. It’s OK to speculate and declare the consequential thought. For example, St. John said that Jesus said, “Before Abraham was born I am” and St. Matthew said that Jesus said, “Render unto Caesar . . . “ Perhaps Jesus is the author of Genesis 1:27-28, which seems to charge female&male human-being to independently constrain chaos on earth. Another possibility is that the historical Jesus actually said that awareness of female&male human-being’s power, energy, and authority to provide peace on earth was appreciated before Abraham was born.

I accept that I don’t know. Nevertheless, I work diligently to constrain chaos during life. I accept the afterdeath I face.

I write to learn and therefore appreciate readers’ comments.

FB add on: Integrity seems misunderstood: “I don’t know” should be heard more often.

The teacher must know that their function is to coach and encourage the student to accept being a human-being and to prepare for responsible-human-independence in an era the teacher cannot imagine.

The student must be open-minded to accept being a human-being and develop the self-discipline to acquire the comprehension and intention to live a complete human life, both chronologically and psychologically; that is, to develop both civic and private integrity.

Neither government nor God will even try to usurp female&male human-being’s responsibility to establish independence (Genesis 1:27-28); develop humble-integrity (13 colonies’ 1776 declaration of war against England); and accept membership in “ourselves and our Posterity”, in the U.S. the entity We the People of the United States; or hold accountable to 1787 statutory justice the fellow-citizens whom they elect or whom the elected-representatives appoint to public office. The 1787 U.S. Constitution specifies no standards for the nation’s purpose, making it clear that Posterity will approach the ultimate responsible-human-independence.

These three historical records establish the “responsibilitiesofalearnertoateacher”. The only human right I am aware of is the freedom-to apply HIPEA to develop humble-integrity and thereby perfect a unique life. The female&male human-being has the individual power, the individual energy, and the individual authority (HIPEA) to acquire intolerance for infidelity in their life.

The culture that is not coaching and encouraging these principles and better to their youth and beyond needs reform. All U.S. Education Departments need these reforms.

FB add on: Authentic teachers coach and encourage as they present discovery, perhaps for Posterity to improve, while sincere students accept the responsibility to acquire comprehension and intention to conduct the complete human life their unique person deserves.

https://www.quora.com/When-we-teach-our-children-ethics-and-morality-are-we-helping-them-to-live-better-lives-or-are-we-potentially-hindering-their-chances-of-success-in-our-society? by Peter Coultas

Wow! You remind me of 1983 when I was father with the most fantastic woman I ever knew---serenely confident---and I knew not how to help her guide our 3 children but did not like the religious exclusivity they were repeating every weekend. (She’s my wife of 51 years.)

Thank goodness I read Kahlil Gibran’s “On Children” and adapted it to my way of thinking:

For the parent and We the People of the United States:

Your children are with you yet are their own persons.

You grant them appreciation and may encourage and coach their thoughts.

You may strive to be like them; but seek not to make them like you.

For human understanding goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.

Since then, I have discovered 3 fantastically neglected documents: an ancient political philosophers’ suggestion in Genesis 1:27-28, the founder’s conformity in the 1776 declaration of war, and the framers’ 1787 Constitution. All three documents suggest responsible-human-independence with civic integrity and private hope: separation of necessary state and optional, private church.

The intention is expressed in the abstract proposition that is proffered in the preamble to the U.S. Constitution: The entity We the People of the United States commits-to and trusts-in 6 civic disciplines---justice, integrity, peace, strength, prosperity, and responsible-human-independence, “in order” to promote humble-integrity “to ourselves and our Posterity”.

There is no standard for each of the 6 disciplines, meaning that “ourselves” wants to perform with the integrity that our children will develop! At age 77, I can tell you that I cannot touch the goodness of our children. Notice that the preamble does not include religion in the disciplines: private hope is not a civic discipline, unless the individual wants it to help them perform in a conflicted world. (My happiness is with faith in the-ineluctable-truth, most of which is unknown; individual happiness with responsible-human-independence seems the-good.)

FB add on: Kahlil Gibran, “On Children” and the preamble to the U.S. Constitution suggest adult empowerment: try living by the-good that posterity will develop.

I think education needs to be reformed so as to coach and encourage youth to accept that they are a human being. And perhaps starting at ages 3 to 13, depending upon the unique person’s pace of maturing, coach and encourage them that, as a human being, they have the individual power, the individual energy, and the individual authority (HIPEA) to develop the humble-integrity by which to practice responsible-human-independence until body and mind stop functioning.

Fear of death is the human construct by which preachers and politicians convince people to be “governed by consent”. Check the money formula in the second verse of the song: “Twas grace that taught my heart to fear And grace my fears relieved.”

https://www.quora.com/Are-moral-laws-derived-from-the-law-of-the-state? by Allen Palomata

Absolutely not.

I think both the facts and the representation of the facts follow the same laws. They exist as physics and its progeny, including psychology and imagination.

Thus, the person who claims to know and does not represent the-ineluctable-evidence is lying. Humble-integrity requires a person to accept “I don’t know” when they don’t know. The ineluctably-good person never lies, in order to lessen human loss and misery.

Regarding the reasons not to ever lie, we can readily perceive that most Congresspersons think they lie to lessen human loss and misery. The Supreme Court is also political. Don’t look to government for morality.

I gained confidence in these statements by reading political philosophy authored by Albert Einstein, but do not agree with his word choices. For example, his 1954 quote “science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind” I think means:  Research without integrity is ruinous, integrity without research is ineffectual.” There’s no place for “religion” in either my statement or Einstein’s meaning, whatever it is.

https://www.quora.com/unanswered/What-are-the-obstacles-of-liberty-according-to-Jean-Jacque? by Beaty Mshani

A scholastic analysis of Rousseau’s “freedom” (rather than “liberty”) may be found at https://plato.stanford.edu/entries/rousseau/#RousClaiRecoFreeAuth.

Modern scholarship regarding seventeenth and eighteenth century thought does not begin with parsing for 2021 understanding the frequently used words and phrases. I work diligently to create a glossary that civic citizen may use to connect. I have a standing request for readers to improve it. It is maintained at promotethepreamble.blogspot.com. In my view, at this moment, at stake in human success is the freedom-to develop humble-integrity toward the-ineluctable-truth, which does not empower government to license the liberty-to dominate fellow-citizens.

If you study the passage I recommended above, you’ll see that Rousseau never came to grips with the necessity for female&male human-being to constrain chaos during their lives, in order to thrive rather than merely survive. This is inexcusable, because the suggestion was proffered at humankind’s research-transition from polytheism to monotheisms and philosophies. Thus, political philosophy that was constructed in the gap between unawareness and discovery that the dinosaurs died off 65 million years ago. More than 4,000 years ago, someone primitively expressed that female&male human-being must constrain chaos among living species and on earth. The literature reference, Genesis 1:27-28, in modern terms, suggests fidelity to physics and its progeny including biology and psychology, commitment to discovering physics and how to responsibly benefit, and accepting the message that peace on earth is possible only with responsible-human-independence (RHI). This message invites conflict between individuals who practice RHI and persons who do not perceive the self-interest in humble-integrity.

The point that Rousseau missed is that “governance by consent” is a political indoctrination that empowers the proponent. The only “right” that is “natural” to female&male human being is the freedom-to develop the humble-integrity that is necessary for responsible-human-independence.

FB add on: The indoctrination “government by consent” empowers the proponent---in the U.S., the civil clergy-Congressperson-partnership. It is pastime for “ourselves and our Posterity” to stop enslaving ourselves in 400 year-old English and French psychological-conflict and establish U.S.-public-discipline according to the founders’ 1776 Declaration plus the framer’s 1787 Constitution. Continually write to your Congressperson and Senators your demand to set aside the 1791 First Amendment’s religion-Congress-partnership, in order to establish responsible-human-independence in the United States.

I suggest amending “Congress shall . . . religion . . .” (First Amendment) to “No government official in the United States shall act to constrain the development of responsible-human-independence . . .”

Local bosses planned to lie to the government on behalf of my company. By developing the integrity of a patriot, I effected termination of the plan. The local bosses fired me and sent me home. It was the hardest time for my young family of five. But the company increased my responsibilities during another 30 years’ service.

Having answered 2 related questions you posted, Mr. Lindsay, I choose to address plagiarism, both civic and civil.

Civil plagiarism is whatever the law stipulates and enforces. Therefore, it is controversial and can be subjected to civil court, where it becomes whatever the judge decides. In my view, the accuser needs ineluctable evidence and otherwise ought not act.

Civic plagiarism is in the behavior of the writer/speaker/expressionist. If the author believes they are sharing someone else’s thought, they are prudent to say so, especially if they paraphrase prior writing. For example, I sometimes stretch the record by claiming I am borrowing from Abraham Lincoln when I write the phrase: 6 public disciplines of, by, and for fellow-citizens. The “of, by, and for” syntax is often used without reference to Lincoln. Moreover, my thought in no way connects with Lincoln’s dream in “government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth”. Such government never existed and is an artifact of English tyranny against citizens.

After writing many essays with footnotes to associate my thoughts with others, I realize that the reader cannot relate to my reflections. So I am better off letting the reader use their Internet search powers. For example, my thought that an ineluctably good citizen in civic connection neither initiates nor tolerates harm is difficult to extract from Agathon’s speech in Plato’s “Symposium”, which I have interpreted for appreciation rather than love for 2 decades now.

I think we are in a transition to unconstrained freedom of speech, excepting direct plagiarism, which can readily be discovered with Internet search. The civic need for footnotes to reference controversial prior thought is waning, I think.

I write to learn and would appreciate comments.

We, the 2021 “ourselves and our Posterity” can establish a proffered-culture of responsible-human-independence.

The power of being human is suggested in three worthy documents. First, the culture is primitively suggested to female&male human being in Genesis 1:27-28: independently dominate the other living species and subdue the earth. I appreciate the suggestion to constrain chaos in my life; for example, I earn and pay taxes. Second, the 1776 founders declared war against England. Their words and phrases separate church from state. Intentionally or not, the founders conformed to the Genesis-1 suggestion. Third, the framers, in the 1787 U.S. Constitution offered no ideas that lessen the humble-integrity the founders expressed in the 1776 Declaration. The signers proffered 6 public disciplines: integrity, justice, peace, strength, prosperity, and responsible-human-independence, “in order to” promote humble-integrity “to ourselves and our Posterity”.

The entity We the People of the United Sates can establish a culture of responsible-human-independence in less than a generation. I will mention only two of a myriad of reforms. First, fellow-citizens must reform the First Amendment---from Congress protecting religious opinion to no official in the U.S. constraining civic integrity. Many necessary reforms will then be obvious, such as restoration of the motto “E Pluribus Unum”, with application to the-Gods.

Second, education of the nation’s youth and beyond must reform. Not just parents, but the entire community must coach and encourage children to accept being a human being; accept the responsibility to develop the comprehension and intention to live a complete human life; accept the individual power, the individual energy, and the individual authority (HIPEA) to develop humble-integrity rather than tolerate infidelity to self; and responsibly-pursue the happiness they desire rather than submit to the image someone else has for them. Then, “ourselves” may hope to approach the humble-integrity “our Posterity” will discover.

But not every fellow-citizen will participate, so the development of statutory justice must continue, in order to approach the standards that posterity will discover.

Readers who like this message are urged to compose their message to their Congressperson and Senators in hopes of establishing the culture of responsible-human-independence in 2022 or sooner.

FB add on: A concrete, document-based proposal---responsible-human-independence; to end the chaos the U.S. has reached after 230 years under the tyranny of unconstitutional religion-Congress-partnership. They live high on the hog and we pay the loss and misery we don't pass on to our children.

https://www.quora.com/unanswered/Do-you-agree-that-descriptive-is-better-than-normative-definitions-of-morality-Why? by Bins Layden

Taking “descriptive” to mean objective and nonjudgmental and “normative” to mean permissible, descriptive is better for researching to discover the-ineluctable-truth and normative is better for controlling a civilization, society, or association.

For example, the ineluctably good citizen never lies, in order to lessen human misery and loss. Congresspersons routinely lie, in order to preserve the religion-Congress partnership they created in the First Amendment.

We, the 2021 “ourselves and our Posterity” could end the tyranny by reforming the First Amendment from “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof . . . “ to “No elected or appointed official in the U.S. will act to constrain individual/collective development of civic integrity . . . “ or better.

To Robbi Oumansof:

The-ineluctable-truth does not respond to the person’s quality. Personal integrity is measured by humble-integrity to the-ineluctable-evidence.

https://www.quora.com/Is-there-a-right-of-response-within-a-freedom-of-speech? by Graham C Lindsay

Absolutely.

The usual hypothetical is injury inflicted by the prank of yelling “Fire!” in a crowded space. The citizen who observes such an act should get the person’s name, picture, or description and report to first responders immediately.

In a public protest situation, if one group is licensed for time and place, the other group is prudent to also have a permit with time and place. Nevertheless, individuals are free to speak or display ideas to counter-speak the protest.

Similarly, freedom of religion is not unlimited. For example, a couple who orphans their children by Biblical snake handling cannot influence the court in deciding which family members have the privilege of child-care or adoption.

https://www.quora.com/How-do-the-concepts-held-as-freedom-of-speech-and-freedom-of-expression-equate-to-the-same-thing? by Graham C Lindsay

I don’t know the legal details, but art is a form of writing and publishing. Concerning protests, freedom of speech is considered with freedom to assemble for civil complaint. Governments attempt to avoid civic conflict by permitting/licensing locations for political speech. Painting someone’s property is vandalism, so municipalities provide designated space for graffiti. Art deemed too explicit for children to view is restricted. At stake in the controversies I’ve touched on is who does the judging?

My state, Louisiana reserves the right-to and suggests liability-for spoken and written expression: “No law shall curtail or restrain the freedom of speech or of the press. Every person may speak, write, and publish his sentiments on any subject, but is responsible for abuse of that freedom.” I have written to the legislature to issue laws to strengthen the liability concern. Injury that is directly caused by speech ought to be constrained.

For example, if someone calls 911 to initiate a police-entrapment the caller should be discovered, arrested, and face prosecution.

Some members of the Democrat Party (e.g., Kamala Harris) seem unwilling to accuse rioters of rioting when they associate with civil protest, whether licensed or impromptu. Without such political cunning, I think municipalities are positioned to constrain violence.

Being a person who trusts-in and commits-to the-ineluctable-truth, most of which is unknown, I have written and spoken since about 1996 against the U.S. imposition of religion in civil life. My concern is held as niggling by the U.S. Supreme Court (Greece v Galloway, 2014). It is common for Congresspersons to “witness” for God and His Son Jesus Christ as justification to oppose the U.S. Constitution. However, no person can witness for a controversial mystery. It is time to end the tyranny of religion-Congress-partnership.

Readers who agree, write your Congressperson and Senators your demand to reform the First Amendment so as to promote civic humble-integrity rather than civil religious-pride. With 2/3 of “ourselves and our Posterity” immediately supporting and writing for the reform, it can happen before 2022.

A Mesopotamian political philosopher 4-thousand years-ago suggested that (of necessity) female&male human-being independently constrain chaos during life on earth. If most human beings accepted the power, energy, and authority (HIPEA) to develop responsible-human-independence, an achievable better future would ensue. This is possible if most nations teach their youth to both accept being human with HIPEA and to take charge of acquiring the comprehension and intention to develop the responsible-human-independence necessary to perfect their unique person before mind and body stop functioning.

We did not expect the offending states to witness against themselves. A courageous judge had to take action—- subpoena the evidence.

You may be correct about the SC, and if they do hear a case, they’re unlikely to find in Trump’s favor.

However, the Court needs to uphold its power to not be “cancelled” by any political trend. So far, they have shown independence from Trump. Will they show the 14th Amendment power to prevent a state from enacting laws that deny a U.S. citizen’s rights?

I am thrilled to know you want separation of church and state. We, the “ourselves and our Posterity” of 2021 can demand of our Congressperson and our two Senators to reform the First Amendment from “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof . . . “ to “No elected or appointed official in the U.S. will act to constrain individual/collective development of civic integrity . . . “ or better, for example, “responsible-human-independence” instead of “civic integrity” before 2022 rolls in.

Here, in Louisiana, if we had sun today I missed it. Nevertheless, the earth was rotating at 1100 mph, even though I did not feel it. On the other hand, I severely feel the religion-Congress tyranny.

To Patricia Woodbury again:

From my last post: reform the First Amendment from “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof . . . “ to “No elected or appointed official in the U.S. will act to constrain individual/collective development of civic integrity . . . “ or better.

The evidence exists and the states refuse to submit it.

To Patricia Woodbury again:

I contest the actions in the offending states. So did the group of states that joined the Texas suit. However, the offending states would not release the evidence against them, so the offended entity, We the People of the United States, had no option but to appeal to the Senate. Pence, citing his faith in his view of Jesus Christ arbitrarily discounted the U.S. Constitution’s only chance to be heard.

In the news today, the Supreme Court decided not to hear a slew of cases regarding the presidential election. I don’t know if any remain.

To Patricia Woodbury again:

Quoting my Feb 11 post, “For four years, Pence stood with the Trump/Pence ticket the nation elected in 2016. At the last moment, Pence witnessed for his opinion about Jesus, then betrayed his ticket.”

Here’s Pence speaking: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LAVXSiePG3s. Listen at about 16 min to his promise that on Wednesday Trump voters will be heard. Then listen at 24 min to his conversion story; then at 27 min about Pence power from having Jesus in his heart.

That’s on Jan 4. On Jan 6, he announced before noon he would not fulfill his Jan 4 promise to Trump voters.

Your opinion that the offending states have no evidence of their offenses has no standing with me; I rely on my opinion. I’m intolerant of the offending officials and their advocates.

 https://www.quora.com/unanswered/Why-do-some-individuals-talk-about-their-lifestyle-as-human-nature-even-if-it-might-not-be-practiced-universally? by Nazif G Mujtaim

About 4,000-years-ago, a Mesopotamian suggested, in my interpretation: human-beings independently have the responsibility to constrain the lesser species and the earth. In other words, to provide peace and security on earth. In the author’s view, the-God of Genesis 1 commissioned this “human nature” as stated in Verses 27-28. This notion is probably expressed in other world literature, perhaps from an earlier time, but from this literature four religions, each internally diverse, have emerged: Judaism, Christianity, Islam, and Tewahedo Church. I attempted to practice two Christianities: U.S. Southern Baptist and Louisiana-French Catholicism until I discovered and found comfort in my long-developed trust-in and commitment-to the-ineluctable-truth, most if not all of which I do not know. Regarding facts, I do know that I am the Phillip R. Beaver with a unique DNA. I know opinion but no facts regarding the religions.

Genesis 1:27-28, like all world literature, is written in the mysteries the author held at the time. For example, the Mesopotamian was not aware that the dinosaurs had perished 65 million years earlier. Nor that the earth rotates on its axis at 1100 mph! But he was aware of the necessity of female&male human-being to constrain chaos in their relationship and on earth during their lifetimes. This invites a second consideration of humankind.

The human-being tends to take responsibility for survival, and, facing mostly unknowns, concentrates on what is observable. Thereby distracted from the unknowns that exist to be discovered in the future, the individual is vulnerable to personal ignorance. Humankind, empowered by language and grammar, conducts the research needed to discover the-ineluctable-truth, the best way to benefit from the discovery, and means of reporting the benefits to the people. The human-being has the individual power, the individual energy, and the individual authority (HIPEA) to develop humble-integrity rather than tolerate infidelity to self. Not every person chooses humble-integrity.

Here enter the Genesis-1 mysteries as social-constructs more than human-nature. The monotheism offered in Genesis 1 was a recent political philosophy after perhaps more than 80,000 years of spiritual concerns by human tribes. The indigenous Australians substantially codified, by ceremony, their spiritual beliefs yet continued to develop civic survival against tremendous odds, such as inundation of their land by seawaters. To this day, they greet other-ethnic humans with appreciation, no religious challenges, and tentative trust. On the civic side, males transition into manhood by experiencing a survival “walkabout” as a teenager. On the other hand, the rest of the world has exponentially increased competition among their doctrinal Gods, in defiance of the Genesis-1 politics of responsible-human-independence to provide peace and security on earth. They seek to reverse the-God’s suggestion: responsible-human-independence.

I know of one-proffered political philosophy that reflects natural appreciation for the responsible-human-independence suggested in Genesis 1. It is submitted in the founders’ 1776 declaration of war against England plus the framers’ 1787 constitutional domestic-disciplines. However, it is, so far, repressed by civic-citizen-apathy toward the religion-Congress-partnership imposed in 1791 and codified by the Supreme Court since then. Only the living “ourselves and our Posterity” can replace the tyranny of civil religious-opinion with civic integrity; separate church and state.

In the founders’ 1776 declaration of war against England and its constitutionally-required Protestant monarchy (1689), the founders wrote not one word disparaging England’s Trinity citing “Nature and Nature’s God” for human authority. They did not offend fellow-citizens who worshipped the English Trinity rather than either a factional-Protestant Trinity/Unity, or the Catholic Trinity. They relied on the “Providence” of “the Supreme Judge of the world” for military reliability to “the good People”. Then, in 1778, they negotiated military-providence from France. In 1781, Cornwallis surrendered to France and the Continental Army at Yorktown, VA. In effect complying with Genesis 1, the founders separated church and state. The people won independence.

In 1787, the framers, representing 12 of 13 globally free and independent states, specified the institutions and officers for the United States under amendable-powers granted-by and to be held accountable-by fellow-citizens in their states. They specified a republic under the rule of law to be held responsible by “the good People” rather than civil religious opinion. Some framers disagreed with this arrangement. Only 39 of 55 framers were the signers of the 1787 draft Constitution; some of the non-signers had health or other physical constraints. It is important to note that not one word of the framers’ 1787 document lessens the humble-integrity submitted by the founders in 1776; together, they separate church and state and comport to Genesis 1.

In 2021, the U.S. is being bullied by Alinsky-Marxist organizers (AMO), who destroy property, injure and kill fellow-citizens, and “cancel” objectors. The AMO recruits break the rule of law and defy Courts that object, accelerating the havoc. The Democrat Party, the mainstream media, and major corporations seem to support AMO. They hone the power of physical crises to take political power in the-vacuum.

The-vacuum exists because the continuum “ourselves and our Posterity” has not established the U.S. culture of humble-integrity. If the citizens whose DNA says they are descendants of the author of Genesis 1 choose to henceforth constrain chaos in their lives rather than tolerate infidelity to self (see Genesis 1:27-28), an achievable, better USA can begin immediately. And the world will be glad.

And if “ourselves and our Posterity” of 2021 immediately demand it of their Congressperson and Senators, the First Amendment can be reformed from “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof . . . “ to “No elected or appointed official in the U.S. will act to constrain individual/collective development of civic integrity . . . “ or better, for example, “responsible-human-independence” instead of “civic integrity”.

Mujtaim, if you do not live in the U.S., these principles are nonetheless applicable to people who are interested in them: humankind needs responsible-human-independence. I hope you and others will comment. If there are no objections I will add your name and this date to my appreciations page at promotethepreamble.blogspot.com.

Epilogue: My life suggests there is much error when religious parents have the right to indoctrinate rather than encourage their children. My parents were wonderful providers, excepting the opinion that Catholics burn in hell. Thereby, I was not prepared to meet the most serenely-confident person I ever knew, my wife of 51 years. And even as we agreed to marry, I neither yielded nor knew enough to articulate my HIPEA to develop myself. Through her patience and mine, I discovered my faith in the-ineluctable-truth. Had I fallen in-love with one of my Protestant friends, chances are I would never have discovered my person.

My dream is a culture that appreciates the dignity and equity due every human-ovum and coaches and encourages every newborn to accept being a human-being, discover HIPEA, choose to-develop humble-integrity rather than tolerate infidelity, and intend to perfect their unique person before mind and body stop functioning. If spiritualism helps the individual perfect self, don’t question it.

My message, so far, has not gone viral, perhaps because people view impossible a culture of humble-integrity. Maybe it’s because that culture has not been promoted before.

To your question, humble-integrity is human-nature and may/may-not involve spiritualism; tyranny has to be developed by AMO or other tyranny.

FB add on: Humble-integrity is human-nature; pride is acquired.

Law professors

With Alinsky-Marxist organizations (AMO) cancelling opposition to U.S. chaos, the religious leaders covered in this scholarship can only be recognized as failures: Sheen’s anti-communism, King’s racial justice, and Falwell’s moral restoration. Today’s chaos can be attributed to the religion-Congress-partnership unconstitutionally imposed by Congress in 1791 and codified as tradition by the Supreme Court since then.

Tocqueville, in 1835 wrote French contradictions of 1776’s “the good People”. For example, “Religion, which among the Americans never directly takes part in the government of society, must be considered as the first of their political institutions; for if it does not give them the taste for liberty, it singularly facilitates their use of it.” Liberty proves government-license to abuse fellow-citizens. The 1776 war was for independence according to Genesis 1:27-28.

The good People of 1776 took it upon themselves to kill invasive fellow-subjects in red coats in order to practice responsible-human-independence where colonists had settled. Some Americans read the Bible to avoid mistakes of the past and some read it in order to uphold royal opinion they knew. Citizens divided themselves on acceptance of necessity on the one side and loyalty to diverse European kingdoms on the other. At that time, inhabitants of my state, Louisiana, were influenced by France in particular. In Florida, Spain dominated. In the west, it was Mexico, Spain, and indigenous tribes.

The French were both England’s enemy and rebellious against the Church, as they proved in 1789’s reign of terror. Both then and now, it is unlikely for a Frenchman to imagine the mind of the living, U.S. “ourselves and our Posterity”. An American considers existing literature and may comprehend that the 1787 U.S. proposition offers the necessary freedom-from oppression so that each individual may responsibly pursue the safety and happiness they desire rather than compete for the liberty-to abuse fellow-citizens.

Fulton Sheen, who helped influence President Eisenhower’s egregious imposition of religion into American civics (see How Dwight Eisenhower Found God in the White House - HISTORY), erroneously said, “Americanism, as understood by our Founding Fathers, is the political expression of the Catholic doctrine concerning man. Firstly, his rights come from God, and therefore cannot be taken away; secondly, the State exists to preserve them…. The recognition of the inalienable rights of the human person is Americanism, or to put it another way, an affirmation of the inherent dignity and worth of man”. The 1776 declaration of war separated church and state in conformity to Genesis 1:27-28.

“Egregious” because Eisenhower motivated both the revision of the 1782 motto “E Pluribus Unum” to “In God We Trust” and the addition of “under God” to the pledge of allegiance to the flag. The above mentioned Eisenhower article cites religious-tyrants (my opinion since no person can represent Jesus) Billy Graham, Fulton Sheen, Norman Vincent Peale, and Mamie Eisenhower, whose church baptized Ike at age 62. Also, note Rev. Docherty; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_MacPherson_Docherty.

Eventually, MLK, Jr. dreamed of a “beloved community”. Grace Lee Boggs in 2004 described a utopia with “the courage to love and care for the peoples of the world as we love and care for our own families”. “Ourselves and our Posterity” dare not try to spread love to the world when we do not establish responsible-human-independence in our homes, in our cities, in our states, and in our nation.

As for Jerry Falwell, show me the person who can witness for a mystery: Jesus Christ. Who can show the civic integrity of reports about Jesus? St. Luke used "hate" toward family and self as the cost of discipleship (14:26). St. John used "hate" 5 times to express the attitude of people whom God did not elect  to believe Jesus (15:18-23). I'm un-elect, and I reject John's accusation of hate. Matthew wrote that Jesus said the individual human being who intends-to can perfect their person before dying (5:48). Maybe so. St. John wrote that Jesus said “before Abraham was born I am” (8:58). Does that imply that Jesus authored the political philosophy in Genesis 1:27-28? If so, why doesn’t Christian female&male human-being (in the image of Jesus) constrain chaos in life so as to develop family-monogamy for life instead of tolerating infidelity to self? And why does Congress accept members witnessing for Jesus Christ rather than for the U.S. Constitution? Why does the U.S. Supreme Court condone such arrogant pride?

Books that condone the imposition of religion on the entity We the People of the United States support Congressional-tyranny. We, the “ourselves and our Posterity” of 2021 can each require our Congressperson and two Senators to reform the First Amendment from “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof . . . “ to “No elected or appointed official in the U.S. will act to constrain individual/collective development of civic integrity . . . “ or better, for example, “responsible-human-independence” instead of “civic integrity”, before 2022 arrives.

Together, the 1776 Declaration and the 1787 U.S. Constitution proffer a culture of 6 public disciplines: integrity, justice, peace, strength, prosperity, and responsible-human-independence “in order to” develop humble-integrity “to ourselves and our Posterity.”

I cannot think of a civil power more effective than the writers in this forum to accomplish this essential U.S. reform before it is too late.

Notable writers I won’t read

https://www.facebook.com/gcleve.wright (Feb 21, 2021 post on issues of the times)

Here's a shocking reality about this. The U.S. offense in this regard is insistence on the religion-Congress-partnership that empowers politicians and preachers to live high on the hog at our "eternal" expense. We, the 2021 "ourselves and our Posterity" can stop the loss and misery.

I was born So. Baptist. I could not articulate it as a child yet rejected the notion that Catholics burn in hell (because they never submit to baptism by emersion). By college age, I began to care more about my opinion than opinions of others.

I began to oppose the 1954 U.S. conversion from "E Pluribus Unum" to "In God We Trust" (I was 11 when it happened). I felt adding the prayer "under God" to the pledge was an imposition that reduces my freedom-to reserve sufficient respect for whatever is in control---to avoid offending whatever empowered my life.

When I came to Louisiana to practice chemical engineering, soon I met and began to woo the most serenely confident person I have ever known. That Louisiana French-Catholic woman is my wife of 51 years. Our 3 children seem Catholic and told me so. More importantly they are civic and leave judgement (including theirs) to higher power.

And I discovered that much as I tried to be what Mom and Dad wanted, I am a person who trusts-in and commits-to the-ineluctable-truth. It exists and female&male human-being works to discover and benefit from ineluctable evidence, even if they seek comfort from faith in mystery. Such hope is a private practice rather than a civil imposition.

Since about 1998, I have written to advocate revision of the First Amendment from “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof . . . “ to “No elected or appointed official in the U.S. will act to constrain individual/collective development of civic integrity . . . “ or better, for example, “responsible-human-independence” instead of “civic integrity”, before 2022 rolls in.

I don't know if I am alone, but don't think so. Most people have studied the Bible enough to know that no human can witness for Jesus Christ: a mystery. However, Congresspersons routinely pretend to witness for their God to oppose the entity We the People of the United States and its constraints recorded in the U.S. Constitution.

I hope this year, you will help start a movement to end this tyranny by writing to your Congressperson and your Senators demanding the reform suggested above: Revise the First Amendment so as to promote civic humble-integrity instead of Congressional religious-pride.

Phil Beaver does not “know.” He trusts in and is committed to the-objective-truth which can only be discovered. Conventional wisdom has truth founded on reason, but it obviously does not work.

Can a human being (e.g., Mike Pence) witness for Jesus Christ?

Can a human being witness for Jesus Christ?

Like Socrates before Jesus was born, Jesus did not write. St. Luke used hate toward family and self as the cost of discipleship (14:26). St. John used hate 5 times to express the attitude of people who are not elected by God to believe Jesus (15:18-23). Matthew wrote that Jesus said the individual human being who intends-to can perfect their person before dying (5:48). St. John wrote that Jesus said “before Abraham was born I am” (8:58).

These ideas attributed to Jesus by ancient writers are civically unreliable to me and I would never choose to pit Jesus Christ against the 1787 U.S. Constitution. I think fellow citizens who do so invite woe.

I think the U.S. Congress placed itself in jeopardy when it formed a religion-Congress partnership in 1791. More importantly, they have brought misery and loss to the continuum We the People of the United States. “Ourselves and our Posterity” of 2021 can revise the First Amendment so as to promote civic integrity rather than religious opinion before 2022.

I think competition for a higher power to act as surrogate for responsible-human-independence is humanity’s enemy.

Neither a God nor a government will usurp the individual’s obligation to constrain chaos during their life rather than accept infidelity to their person. When most fellow-citizens accept that they are a human being and thus have the individual power, the individual energy, and the individual authority (HIPEA) to develop the-humble-integrity by which to practice responsible-human-independence will humankind perceive its opportunity to provide peace on earth by constraining chaos no matter who or what causes it.

It seems to me this principle was expressed 4,000 years ago in Genesis 1:27-28.

https://www.quora.com/How-can-a-country-be-loyal-to-society? by Sari Setiawati

A country that coaches and encourages its youth and beyond to accept being a human being and develop responsible-human-independence is loyal to the people. However, the people divide into societies that develop humble-integrity in self-interest and others who develop dependencies---well-fare players, criminals, tyrants, religious-fundamentalists, and worse.

The 1787 U.S. Constitution specifies such a nation. So far, the continuum “ourselves and our Posterity” have not accepted the 6 disciplines specified in the preamble: integrity, justice, peace, strength, prosperity, and responsible-human-independence. Religion is assigned to privacy, and the government hubris to-license liberty is constrained by the individual freedom-to develop humble-integrity.

I think a political philosopher expressed it in Genesis 1:27-28: female&male human-being has dominion over the other species and the earth. In a culture of humble-integrity, the youth are encouraged and coached to accept being a human-being.

https://www.quora.com/Are-there-limits-to-natural-rights? by Gary Bulloch

Following the suggestion in Genesis 1:27-28, in 2021 perspective, I think the only valid human right is freedom-to develop the humble-integrity by which to perfect your person before mind and body stop functioning.

https://www.quora.com/What-rights-do-we-have-as-people-but-actually-don-t-Why-What-are-they-What-is-an-example? by Sarah Skopick

Ms. Skopick, your question is well presented, especially because of “as people”.

I think people divide themselves on whether or not they accept the opportunity to develop a human being during a complete lifetime. I think human-being is comprised of body, mind, and person; thus, I use my body and mind to develop my person: Phil Beaver.

Soul is a mystery that was constructed by civilizations, and a human-being may choose to live for the mysterious soul or develop their unique person. I do not oppose and do not hold the opinion that a human-being can pursue both goals. However, I think it is sufficient to accept that the person had no action in the origin of their ovum or spermatozoon and therefore has no responsibility to mystery.

The human-being is responsible to develop humble-integrity to the-ineluctable-truth, most of which is unknown. Thus, their mantra is: I accept and witness that I don’t know what I don’t know. For example, I don’t know if extraterrestrial life exists; I think so, but don’t know. Further, I don’t know if the-God exists; I think not, yet am humble to whatever controls the unfolding of the universe, be it physics and its progeny, energy, chaos, a creator, the-Creator, the-God, or God. I think it is important to conform to physics and its progeny including psychology. For example, if there’s a tsunami coming, move to higher ground. Also, never lie, so as to lessen human misery and loss. It is especially critical not to forsake humility.

In a culture of humble-integrity, most adults coach and encourage their youth to 1) accept the opportunities afforded the human-being, 2) accept human individual power, individual energy, and individual authority (HIPEA) to develop humble-integrity toward their person, and 3) to use their HIPEA to develop responsible-human-independence, intending to perfect their unique person before body and mind stop functioning. I think the-good is to trust any actual-soul to its origin. That is to say, have faith in the-origin rather than a human construct. But I don’t know about souls.

Human rights are an artifact of civilization. That is to say, rights are licensed by the victor in war, military might being the judge in human-division. As you suggest in your question, neither military nor spiritual power usurps fate in the assurance of life, liberty, property, and the pursuit of happiness. The only valid human-prerogative I imagine is the opportunity to develop humble-integrity, in order to practice responsible-human-independence. The agent who would constrain this human opportunity is a tyrant and ought to lose their   power.

There exists a proffered, unfortunately undeveloped, culture of humble-integrity. It specifies 6 public disciplines, without standards. Thereby, the ultimate “ourselves and our Posterity” have minimal obstruction in the path to humble-integrity. The disciplines, according to the 1787 U.S. Constitution, in my view, are: integrity, justice, peace, strength, prosperity, and responsible-human-independence. Notice that religion is not one of the disciplines, I think both the founders (1776 independence from England) and the framers (1787 constitution for domestic order) deemed the choice to pursue religion is private to adults. That is, they were declaring independence from England’s constitutional church-state-partnership, with 26 bishop-seats in Parliament.

Many events connect the founders’ 1776 separation of church and state to an ancient, middle-eastern philosopher’s suggestion in Genesis 1:27-28, in a 2021 view: the-God-of-Genesis-1 assigned to female&male human-being the independent responsibility to constrain chaos in the universe. The founders expressed no denigration of England’s Protestant-Trinity as they cited “Nature and Nature’s God” as the source of human authority. Further, they appealed to “the good People” to trust their war’s consequence “to the Supreme Judge of the world” and Providence. Anticipating loss, in 1778, they negotiated for military providence from France. That is to say, contemplating Genesis 1’s charge or not, they separated church and state.

The framers, in 1787, declined the suggestion to begin each day with prayer, and specified a nation that depends upon the continuum “ourselves and our Posterity” to hold government officials accountable to Posterities standard of responsible-human-independence. The constitution specifies that no office will be taken under a religious oath. Some scholars erroneously or defiantly call the 1787 U.S. Constitution the godless-constitution rather than the constitution that comports to Genesis 1. Because of the report that Jesus said, “Before Abraham was born I AM,” for all I know, Jesus is the author of Genesis 1. I don’t think so, but don’t know.

In conclusion, the only valid human right I have considered is the right to develop the humble-integrity by which to practice responsible-human-independence rather that tolerate infidelity to self. This principle is expressed in Genesis 1, the 1776 Declaration, and the 1787 U.S. Constitution. It is arrogated in Congress’ 1791 Bill of Rights, especially the First Amendment’s religion clauses that create a religion-Congress tyranny in the U.S.

We, the 2021 “ourselves and our Posterity” could . . . should, before 2022, revise the First Amendment from “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof . . .” to “Elected and appointed officials in the U.S. shall make no action that constrains civic integrity . . . “ I’m certain a civic people will develop a better revision, I hope before 2022 arrives.

FB add on: People have the right to develop humble-integrity, and Congress represses that right by imposing Congress-partnership with religion, in particular theism, specifically Christianity, dominantly factional Protestantism in competition with divided Catholicism, posed as Judeo-Christianity, now under cancellation-attack by the Ethiopian Tewahedo Church or a competitor perhaps in partnership with other Abrahamic descendants.

https://www.quora.com/What-are-the-best-examples-of-United-we-stand-divided-we-fall-in-today-s-society? by Skye R. Regan

A political philosopher 4 thousand years ago, represented in Genesis 1:27-28, suggested that (in 2021 language) that female&male human-beings are charged to independently constrain chaos in the universe.

Since then, rather than establishing responsible-human-independence, civilizations have divided over how to persuade the-God, perhaps of the-God of Genesis 1 or another doctrine, to assume humankind’s responsibility to establish peace.

Only the individual who accepts the power, energy, and authority of the human being (HIPEA) can develop the humble-integrity to constrain chaos during their lifetime and thereby influence society to comport with Genesis 1. Divided individuals tolerate infidelity to themselves.

FB add on: Divided individuals tolerate infidelity to themselves.

https://www.quora.com/unanswered/What-do-you-think-are-the-aspects-in-society-that-need-change-What-mechanisms-of-collective-behavior-would-you-use-to-improve-society? by King Barerra

Civic citizens should mutually appreciate, without inquiry, the other’s higher power. In other words, fellow-citizens should mutually expect civic behavior, and if it comes, accept that the other is developing a life of personal-chaos-prevention, for reasons the other perceives as their person’s unique happiness.

If the other causes chaos, they have not accepted being human. That is, they have not accepted the individual power, the individual energy, and the individual authority (HIPEA) to develop responsible-human-independence in life. They are yet fellow-citizens, and there is every hope that they will discover HIPEA and use it to develop humble-integrity. In the meantime, civic citizens are obliged to constrain them under written law. Further, civic citizens must continually discover injustices and revise the law in order to approach statutory justice. Citizens who apply HIPEA to develop crime and other evil nonetheless will not tolerate or yield to hypocrisy.

These principles are not new. So far, no nation has established a culture of responsible-human-independence in order to constrain chaos. However, such a nation was proffered in 1787 then repressed in 1791. Four documents deliver the message. The proffered culture can be established in less than a generation, because of the speed of positive Internet connections by civic people.

Here are the 4 documents. Genesis 1:27-28 suggests responsible-human-independence; separation of higher power from human duty; separation of church and state. The founders’ message in the 1776 declaration of independence from England: Nature’s God from England’s Trinity; “the good People” claiming military power according “to the Supreme Judge of the world”; and in 1778, negotiating military providence from France; separation of church and state. The framers’ message in the 1787 constitution for political order in the United States: the good People expressed as “We the People of the United States” with six stated disciplines that leave religion to privacy; exclude religious oaths of office; separation of church and state. Congress’s tyranny in 1791, codifying a religion-Congress-partnership: defying the first three documents and each generation since then leaving “ourselves and our Posterity” of 2021 to establish separation of church and state.

This view of those 4 documents express the necessity to revise the First Amendment, in order to promote civic-integrity rather than religious opinion. As a minimum, it should be changed from “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof . . .” to “U.S. Legislatures shall make no law constraining civic integrity . . . “ I’m certain a civic people will develop a better revision, I hope before 2022 arrives.

FB add on: The current “ourselves and our Posterity” should reform from religious opinion to civic integrity before 2022; later if not then.

My mantra for about 3 decades has been “I don’t know” what I don’t know. However, I study and write what I think. Many people have said they like my writing but don’t understand it. Less than a hand-count like my work. My wife of 51 years smiles when I sing to her and kisses me when I kiss her. My daughters wish me Happy Valentine. My new niece thanked us for their wedding gift.

Our lemon tree is covered and so is our blueberry bush for the 23 F temp in the morning. I feel good and productive.

More and more, I am learning to write or speak then listen and respond. Most importantly, I work hard to warrant appreciation by expressing genuine appreciation.

Thank you, Mr. Chaisson, for your question and interest.

With the modifier “simply because” I feel confident to say absolutely not.

However, a belief may be the-ineluctable-truth. For example, I think belief in Jesus Christ as personal savior can be true if the believer comprehends the historical Jesus’ messages rather than the mysteries people recorded about him. I’m not about to speculate what those messages mean to people of responsible-human-independence. But don’t mistake my point:  If belief in Jesus empowers an individual to perfect their unique person, the belief seems factual even though the individual effected the perfection.

I am aware of some possibilities about Jesus. For example, Ralph Waldo Emersion (RWE), in “Divinity School Address” (1838) said every human has the possibility to perfect their unique person before death, according to Jesus’ church-repressed suggestion. And Genesis 1:27-28, a political philosophy from 4,000 years ago, suggests female&male human being is so powerful as to independently flourish, take dominion over the other living species, and subdue the earth. Perhaps rather than “before Abraham was born I AM” Jesus really said humankind’s supremacy on earth was evident long before Abraham.

I can imagine someone who takes Genesis 1:27-28 to mean they can and must constrain chaos in their way of living and behave accordingly can regard the rest of us as imperfect if not lost, hopefully with kindness rather than absolute disdain. RWE seemed kind till the end.

https://www.quora.com/What-are-some-situational-examples-of-a-perplexed-conscience/answer/Phil-Beaver-1? by Patricia Woodbury again, from last week

Article 2, Section 3 of the U.S. constitution says the president “shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed”. When the Supreme Court would not fast-track Trump’s petitions, Trump’s lawyers proposed that Pence send the disputed electoral votes back to the states. The U.S. Supreme Court may then have been forced to intervene. The contested states might have to produce the data they would not turn over to Trump.

Litigation of these issues is still possible, and if so, I have no idea the outcome. See February 19 schedule in Pennsylvania case at US Supreme Court set to decide in Feb. whether to hear US Rep. Mike Kelly's election case.

Democrats are trying to ignore that inviting woe often turns out worse than anyone expected.

Once again, your statement, “The constitution said count the votes” is too easy: It’s count the legal votes and cast aside the illegal attempts.

If it is proven that the election was stolen, I’m betting the administration will be changed by the Supreme Court.

To Patricia Woodbury again:

My topic is responsible-human-independence to constrain chaos during human life, as stipulated in a 2021 view of Genesis 1:27–28.

Constraining chaos starts with the developing focus in order to respond to a challenge if you want to. It seems to me you prefer chaos rather than either challenge or response. Why?

To Patricia Woodbury again:

It’s pretty easy to “suppose” but it also expresses uncertainty; failure; self-debasement.

Starting from Genesis 1:27–28, I make the case that men and women have had, for 4 thousand years, a political philosopher’s suggestion that a power higher than humankind holds humankind responsible for peace on earth. In other words, it’s a separation of church and state on par with Jesus’ statement that a person should render to both Caesar and to God according to the separate functions: civic necessity and spiritual happiness.

I then make the case that Pence may be suffering doubts as to whether he should hold Jesus above Trump respecting the U.S. Constitution and that if so, he can restore Pence-greatness by accept the Pence-error and taking action to prevent it in the future.

For all we know, Pence’s failure to give the 74 million voters their day, January 6, 2021 caused the pre-planned storming of the capital “if”. Before noon, Pence announced he would, in effect, no longer be Trump’s VP. He abused my vote for Pence—-just another Christian who believes Jesus obeys Pence-opinion rather than Jesus’ message: separate church and state in this case.

You tell me if the crowd would have turned violent under Pence-decisiveness to separate church and state.

To Patricia Woodbury again:

Switching from supposition to fear doesn’t help your error respecting my original message.

It’s not one man. It’s a culture of humble-integrity.

That culture is proffered in the 1787 constitution for domestic discipline in the United States, consistently with both the 1776 declaration of war against England and Genesis 1 respecting separation of church and state. So far, We the People of the United States have not established the intended culture. It is repressed by the 1791, unconstitutional imposition of a religion-Congress-partnership. It is individually repressed each time a Christian holds their beliefs about Jesus in higher authority than Jesus’ messages. The victims of 1791 Congressional hypocrisy are “ourselves and our Posterity”, now some 12 generations deep.

I have not read one word that instructs me that Trump agrees with me. In fact, I urge Trump to reform from the traditional people’s-attempt: to bargain with God to take the responsible-human-independence that is assigned to female&male human-beings, according to Genesis 1:27–28, the 1776 Declaration, and the 1787 Constitution.

To Patricia Woodbury again:

Actually, it’s a question of the Senate doing its job rather than submitting to cancellation opinion under “freedom of religion” instead of humility under civic integrity.

Two states had contesting electoral votes. Under the Constitution, the Senate dominated by the GOP and Pence, controversially, could send those votes back to the states for resolutions of the contests. The Democrats would file a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality, and the Supreme Court would adjudicate.

This is a matter of state according to the Constitution rather than Jesus according to the Bible’s mysteries. And it especially is independent of Pence’s beliefs about Jesus, ineluctable-reality does not respond to Pence’s opinion.

Not accepting its 1787 intentions to establish 6 public disciplines is the cause of the chaos we now suffer. The 2021 “ourselves and our Posterity” should establish at last responsible-human-independence: separation of church and state.

To Patricia Woodbury again:

The contested states were Arizona, objection presented by Rep. Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.) and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Pennsylvania, objection presented by Rep. Scott Perry (R-Pa.) and Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.). Four other states were partially contested: Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, and Wisconsin.

If Pence had not betrayed the U.S. Commander-in-Chief the outcome would be different. For all we know, Pence would also have comported with Jesus Christ’s messages (render unto Caesar . . . and Genesis 1) rather than Pence-beliefs. Also, for all we know, the plan to storm the Capital might have been called off, with Pence’s promise kept.

If Pence is feeling bad, he can reform and make amends, for example, by leading revision of the First Amendment in order to promote civic integrity rather than foment religious tyranny.

To Patricia Woodbury again:

It’s a Senate, constitutional function. I bet you know Republicans in the contested states had presented electoral votes for Trump/Pence so that one Congressperson and one Senator could advance their complaint. I bet you know Pence had promised on January 4 in Georgia that on January 6, Trump voters would be heard. Your self pretends to know the outcome if Pence had fulfilled his promise.

In the same speech, Pence witnessed his opinion about Jesus Christ (with typical humility-privation toward Jesus’s mysterious messages). For example, Jesus reportedly claimed: non-believers (people not elected by God to believe Jesus) hate Christians, Jesus, and God (I deny that claim, by St. John); render to Caesar what is due; “be perfect”; and “before Abraham I AM” (which I don’t doubt if what Jesus expressed is that the perfectibility of the living human individual was known before Abraham was born). Perhaps that’s the meaning of Genesis 1:27-28.

Many Christians ignore Jesus’ mysteries, I think at their person’s peril; perhaps a soul’s peril.

Stubborn skeptics pretend to ignore ineluctable-evidence that refutes mysteries they’d like to preserve. The skeptic, like the Alinsky-Marxist organizer (AMO), can go on forever, never accepting that they constantly change their topic.

Jesus’ messages are challenging, even for the U.S. Supreme Court. Tell me: How do you know green-grass is green? Thank you.

To Patricia Woodbury again:

The Supreme Court will hear some cases and the consequences could change the lame opinion you attempt to impose on my issues: separation of church and state as recommended by Jesus Christ and carried out by both the 1776 Declaration and the 1787 U.S. Constitution.

Will the sun come out tomorrow? Thanks

The human individual has no escape from the continuous urge for freedom-from oppression. In my experience, awareness of this human condition increases with maturity.

Thus, I don’t know whether to admit naiveté or assert that we live in a civilization cross-road. Certainly, the Internet has increased modes of communication. Some individuals have the grammar to function well in world-wide expression forums. Others, like me, are desperately trying to learn grammar they never knew.

Communications servants like Quora are at the center of a revolution. Whereas in the past, some citizens were aware that press-freedom to lie empowers the individual to discern liars. Discernment is critical to forming opinion with the-ineluctable-truth is not known (most of the time). So, the first opinion I offer is that the British judge is correct. Another point, perhaps his, is equally important:  An individual who expresses an opinion is likely to offend someone, and the expresser cannot take responsibility for the responses to their opinion.

Another problem Quora faces is that it wants to serve everyone in the universe, and different laws cover different nations. Yet Quora is located in the U.S., and must observe U.S. laws according to Quora-lawyers. Speech and copyright laws differ in countries.

Copyright is another complicated issue. Just about any thought I can imagine, with skillful use of Internet search will discover a reference to a related statement. For example, “discipline of, by, and for the public”. This search finds several articles with that phrase. Different articles come if you change “public” to “people”. It all reminds me of Lincoln’s Gettysburg phrase “government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth”. Yet I feel no obligation to cite past literature when I write that in my opinion the preamble to the U.S. Constitution proffers 6 public disciplines: integrity, justice, peace, strength, prosperity, and responsible-human-independence; that is to say, discipline of, by, and for the people. But a Quora monitor might challenge the originality of my statements. If so, I can present the above argument:  The Internet empowers readers to independently examine originality.

I assert that my opinions are founded in my experiences and observations, and the Internet is more reliable than my memory in recalling past influences, their context, their syntax, and similarities that could excite a Quora-monitor’s interest more than mine.

In my experience, Quora intends to create a forum for free, responsible conversation wherein fellow-citizens may connect rather than cancel.
