Can any human-being witness for Jesus?

Phil Beaver seeks to collaborate on the-objective-truth, which can only be discovered. The comment box below invites readers to write.

"Civic" refers to citizens who collaborate for individual happiness with civic integrity more than for the city, state, nation, or society.

Consider writing a personal paraphrase of the preamble, which offers fellow citizens mutual appreciation:  For discussion, I convert the preamble’s predicate phrases to nouns and paraphrase it for my interpretation of its proposal as follows We the People of the United States proffer & practice 5 public disciplines —- integrity, justice, safety, strength, and prosperity, “in order to” encourage & facilitate responsible-human-independence “to ourselves and our Posterity”. I want to improve my interpretation by listening to other citizens and their interpretations yet would preserve the original, 1787, text, unless it is amended by the people.

It seems the Supreme Court occasionally refers to it, and no one has challenged whether or not the preamble is a legal statement. The fact that it changed this independent country from a confederation of states to a union of states deliberately managed by disciplined fellow citizens convinces me the preamble is legal. Equity in opportunity and outcome is shared by the people who collaborate for human justice.

Every citizen has equal opportunity to either trust-in and collaborate-on the goals stated in the preamble or be dissident to the agreement. I think 2/3 of citizens try somewhat to use the preamble but many do not articulate commitment to the goals. However, it seems less than 2/3 understand that “posterity” implies grandchildren. “Freedom of religion,” which fellow citizens have no means to discipline, oppresses freedom to develop integrity.

Selected theme from this week

Can any human-being witness for Jesus?

Mike Pence “witnessed for Jesus” on January 4, 2021 and against the U.S. Commander-in-chief on January 6. Pence betrayed constitutional duty to boast mysterious belief.

No way can America allow Pence to either select a running mate or be a running mate. He’d do himself a great service by withdrawing from the political scene.

Shumer’s big lie: “our democracy” (mediaite.com/news/schumer-goes-off-on-bone-chilling-wins-by-election-deniers-when-even-trumps-inner-circle-knew-the-big-lie-was-utter-garbage/)

Shumer is a sponsor of the Big Lie: "our democracy". The U.S. is a constitutional republic. Many aspects of the U.S. republic are intended to prevent "our democracy", especially to assure that election processes and consequences are legal. Shumer -- indeed almost every Democrat -- does all they can to defeat the constitutional republic, in order to impose social democracy. Their goal is wealth and power to themselves. For example, power to impose $5/gal gasoline on Americans.

The question: How do you promote freedom and reason within a society that seems to be highly polarized?

My opinion: I don’t think freedom and reason are desirable goals and prefer integrity to responsible-human-independence (RHI).

Freedom is offered by the winner of war or mob rule and reason attempts to rationalize lies.

The pursuit of RHI is what distinguishes the civic faction of We the People of the United States, generally thought to be a totalitarian entity.

Humankind is polarized as civic-citizens vs tyrants. Tyranny includes indolence, crime, and oppression.

As a responsible and respected human, what's your stand point in the society you find yourself?

I find myself:

At home, happy& responsible-human-independent,

At the doctor, assured& responsive,

At church, happily contrarian,

At the park, mutually supportive,

At the computer, wary,

At the movies, curious,

At the voting booth, self-interested& trusting,

At seeking, passionate,

At transparent conversation, in heaven,

On the road, cautious,

On earth, awed& intent,

Approaching death, accepting.

Mohammed, you ask a profound question.

I offer a contrarian response, asking a different question: Why is integrity important to safety& security?

Consider Mike Pence’s January 6, 2021 betrayal, only now coming into public debate. On January 4, he judged himself a witness for Jesus then on January 6, he betrayed his U.S. office by not accepting a direct order from the U.S. Commander-in-Chief.

The U.S. Constitution, Article II, Section 3 says [the U.S. Commander-in-Chief] “shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed”. The civic-citizens – We the People of the United States – assign legislation to Congress, constitutional reliability to the Court, and execution to the President.

Tyrants do all they can to ruin the U.S. Many judges and lawyers care not what the U.S. Constitution demands. Most citizens lamely assign safety& security to their personal God.

Institutional religion cares not about safety& security. For perhaps 5,500 years, humankind has warred under the suggestion that Gods may inspire pride and political philosophers may proffer peace. Only human-beings can& may provide safety& security on earth.

The political-philosopher-Jesus affirmed Genesis 1:26-28, a Sumerian practice. Jesus said each: pursuing security on earth existed before Abraham; support heaven under the-High-God and secure earth under civic leaders; become psychologically perfect like the-High-God; remain as open-minded& open-hearted as a child; and expressed much more practical guidance. To claim the human-being cannot perform is to deny Jesus’s message: you can& may.

No man justly-claims to witness for Jesus in order to betray his commander-in-chief and country. No man can witness for Jesus, and I don’t claim to. I write my opinion.

quora.com/How-would-you-define-a-successful-person-in-todays-society? by Han Ni

Human success begins with the person acquiring the comprehension& intention to develop a complete life, both chronologically& psychologically. Entering young adulthood, they accumulate choices that inform them in responsible-human-independence (RHI). By never repeating mistakes, they perfect their unique person during their life.

RHI is informed by the-ineluctable-truth and therefore does not respond to social avoidance, change, or resistance.

quora.com/unanswered/What-are-the-essential-requirements-of-a-just-modern-law? by Wadzanai Nemaramba

U.S. felllow-citizens can& may reform the law, in order to develop evidentiary adjudication rather than to preserve legal tradition; Anglo-American tradition.

Most homo sapiens comprehend each person is responsible for safety& security on earth. Call them civic-citizens, where “civic” refers to reliability in connections& transactions. Within them, so far, only a few practice, facilitate, and encourage responsible-human-independence (RHI).

There are two requisites of civic-citizenship. First, the civic-citizen neither initiates nor accommodates harm to or from anyone or any institution. Accommodation is tested by each: passivity, emotions, and lack of intention. The passive civic-citizen fails to constrain harm for reasons they perceived& accepted. The emotional civic-citizen sympathizes with the perpetrator. Lack of intention precludes self-defense. Second, the civic-citizen earns their way of living pays local, state, and federal taxes yet fails to accept responsibility for safety& security on earth. For just modern law, more civic-citizens can& may accept RHI.

Unfortunately, not every person wants responsibility. Some prefer dependency; such as indolence, crime, or tyranny. Necessity& justice demand that civic-citizens constrain dependent fellow-citizens. Few civic-citizens chose to constrain when necessary. These few act in responsible-human-independence (RHI). A nation can& may steadily demonstrate the individual self-interest to reform from dependency to civic-citizenship and on to RHI.

There are two approaches for national survival: pursue a totalitarian utopia or develop a republican form of government with responsible rule of law. The present emphasis on social-democracy invites traditional chaos, and the U.S. is experiencing divergence as I write.

Citizens in a constitutional republic can pursue responsible rule of law. There are 3 requirements. First, adjudication can& may be based on ineluctable-evidence. “Ineluctable” means “not to be avoided, changed, or resisted”. Some courts develop law on precedent, which tends to preserve error:  Injustice prevails until the erroneous precedent is corrected. Ineluctable-evidence is sufficient to negate erroneous precedent and can& may not be over-called by majority opinion. Taking no action is an option when evidence is not ineluctable. For example, don’t kill an intruder when notification/constraint is sufficient. Second, mystery cannot influence adjudication. Mystery is constructed when the evidence is undiscovered and speculation seems reasonable. For example, some people think the consequences of human choice are controlled by the-Higher-God. Rational canon, such as ecclesiastical doctrine, cannot influence much less dominate constitutional law. Third, statutory justice sustains RHI. When unjust law is discovered, correction must be quick, precise, accurate, and deep. The court discovers the injustice and the Congress legislates reform. Pursuing statutory justice, fellow-citizens may share increasing order& prosperity rather than divergent chaos: dependent fellow-citizens may perceive not inviting law-enforcement, civic-citizens may observe self-interest in RHI, and the RHI-faction steadily increases. With developing participation, a RHI-culture looms politically possible.

Together, fellow-citizens practice, facilitate, and encourage RHI “to ourselves and our Posterity”, quoting the preamble to the U.S. Constitution. Just modern law develops RHI.

quora.com/unanswered/Where-can-I-find-essays-on-human-rights? by Devan Dean Kakaka

I appreciate your interest. I hope after substantial reading you will agree that homo sapiens self-interest is best served by responsible-human-independence (RHI) rather than promised rights. My suggestions for reading span perhaps 5,500 years.

Genesis 1 is a Hebrew report derived from ancient Sumerian polytheistic political philosophy. I speculate that their succession of kings established and developed the theory that the-Higher-God, perhaps An, was in charge of the heavens. However, the Gods could not provide safety& security on earth. But homo-sapiens can& may pursue order& prosperity, constrained by the laws of physics. Adopting RHI, the Sumerians prospered until iron weapons emerged.

Selectively quoting Genesis 1:26-28, “. . . let us make mankind in our image . . . so that they may rule . . . male and female [they] created them. Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it.” I think male and female homo sapiens is responsible for safety and security on earth. I think the Sumerian codes of law may be more instructive to RHI than the Holy Bible.

Consider the dots: homo sapiens branched off 300,000 years ago; a sapiens group settled in Mesopotamia some 10,000 years ago and civilized as Sumerians; accepting RHI, they invented the wheel, writing, cities built on reed mats, irrigation, law codes, cosmology, and many other wonders for their time; they dispersed 4,000 years ago about the time monotheism began to dominate polytheism; 3,000 years ago, a group established Israel with its competitive monotheism among others including what became Islam; 2,000 years ago, writers variously extolled political activist Jesus of Judah-tribe and Christianity emerged; 1600 years ago various Bible canon issued, and a Protestant one came on board 470 years ago; now, there are some 45,000 Protestant sects in the world. Monotheism has produced divergent chaos rather than order and prosperity exemplified by Sumerian RHI.

Plato’s Apology, Crito, and Phaedo, and if possible the rest of the Dialogues, free online, facilitate formation of personal opinion as to Socrates’ RHI in dying; I think he chose death to reliably defend the rule of statutory law, even when adjudication is erroneous. If studied under a professor, it’s less likely the reader will reach personal opinion. Socrates’ story also reflects the folly of governmental promises to honor “human rights”, whatever each – government and citizen -- claims.

John Locke’s “Two Treatises of Government” claim that a person is the-High-God’s property and therefore cannot be denied “natural rights” Locke enumerates as life, liberty and property of God. Thomas Paine’s “The Rights of Man” applies Lockean principles to the French Revolution. Edmund Burke’s “Reflections on the Revolution in France” defends British traditionalism – America’s curse so far.

Benjamin Franklin’s Autobiography seems a primer in the self-interest of RHI. Ralph Waldo Emerson’s “Self-Reliance” presents his views on individual independence or RHI.

The intentions sentence in the preamble to the U.S. Constitution proposes continual RHI development as time marches. The Federalist Papers inform the living citizen to draw their own conclusions as to how their life may aid “ourselves and our Posterity”.

I think the present age of disrupters and domestic terrorists being given immunity by the Democrat Party is an unintended consequence of a collective outcome of the 1791 Bill of Rights: 1) legislative and judicial attempts to preserve Anglo-American tradition rather than to develop the intentions proffered in the preamble, 2) fiscal conservatives erroneously aligning with religious conservatives when the Republican Party formed, 3) classical liberals mistaking social-democracy for constitutional republican justice, and 4) civic-citizens waiting for their-God to usurp personal responsibility for safety and security in the USA if not on earth. The ancient Sumerian RHI can& may be considered.

“Civic” refers to reliable personal connections and transactions. Some fellow citizens prefer indolence, crime, and tyranny to civic-reliability. The civic citizens can& may constrain dependents so as to develop a RHI culture rather than wait an eternity for the-High-God to deliver “human rights”.

I hope this helps.

Poem: Pursue Safety& Security, Undeterred by Mysteries

Egoism can& may amplify social mysteries:

·         Motivation,

·         Inspiration,

·         Peace,

·         Tyranny.

Integrity can& may constrain divergent chaos:

·         Cause no harm,

·         Resist civic conflict,

·         Aid civil order,

·         Encourage reform.

Intending safety& security can& may lessen chaos.

Phil Beaver does not “know.” He trusts in and is committed to the-objective-truth which can only be discovered. Conventional wisdom has truth founded on reason, but it obviously does not work.
