Christians exploiting Christian nationalism rather than promoting civic-integrity

"Civic" refers to citizens who collaborate for individual happiness with civic integrity more than for the city, state, nation, or society.

Consider writing a personal paraphrase of the preamble, which offers fellow citizens mutual appreciation:  For discussion, I convert the preamble’s predicate phrases to nouns and paraphrase it for my interpretation of its proposal as follows We the People of the United States proffer & practice 5 public disciplines —- integrity, justice, safety, strength, and prosperity, “in order to” encourage & facilitate responsible-human-independence “to ourselves and our Posterity”. I want to improve my interpretation by listening to other citizens and their interpretations yet would preserve the original, 1787, text, unless it is amended by the people.

It seems the Supreme Court occasionally refers to it, and no one has challenged whether or not the preamble is a legal statement. The fact that it changed this independent country from a confederation of states to a union of states deliberately managed by disciplined fellow citizens convinces me the preamble is legal. Equity in opportunity and outcome is shared by the people who collaborate for human justice.

Every citizen has equal opportunity to either trust-in and collaborate-on the goals stated in the preamble or be dissident to the agreement. I think 2/3 of citizens try somewhat to use the preamble but many do not articulate commitment to the goals. However, it seems less than 2/3 understand that “posterity” implies grandchildren. “Freedom of religion,” which fellow citizens have no means to discipline, oppresses freedom to develop integrity.

Presiding Bishop joins call for Christians to counter Christian nationalism during webinar – Episcopal News Service, Jan 28, 2021

Bishop Curry speaks at 23 minutes into the video. In my paraphrase: anytime Christianity strays from Jesus of Nazareth, the cause is suppression by Christ, an ambiguous figure someone uses for immoral purpose. Apartheid, Nazism, and white supremacy are examples. These are violations of Christianity based on Jesus Christ as Lord.

In my view, the good bishop is himself astray from the-metaphysical-Jesus-message (MJM). By MJM, I mean the-good which the continuum “ourselves and our Posterity”* can& may gain by discovering, accepting, practicing, facilitating, and encouraging behavior according to Jesus’ principles and their extensions.

Christ is an entity of dispute with the Jews, a faction of whom predicted a messiah (anointed one) to establish a kingdom. “Christ” evolved from English translations of the Greek Χριστού, which in turn is from the Hebrew מָשִׁיחַ (Mašíaḥ, messiah), meaning "[one who is] anointed" (Wikipedia). The evolution to “Christ” happened long after Jesus died.

To Christians, Christ indisputably titles Jesus. Applying the title is a risk I would not take, for at least 3 reasons.

First, Matthew shares the hearsay that Jesus said, “Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven.” Just as I never liked someone saying “Phil: horse lover!”, or someone laughing about “beaver-tail” for their reasons, or “tha-beaver”, I doubt Jesus accepts commentary on his name. Of course, neither know the-ineluctable-truth nor can limit Jesus’s influence.

Second, given the chance to speak for himself before being sentenced to death, John reports that Jesus said,
“ . . . the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.” Jesus could have accepted Pontius Pilot deciding not to kill an innocent man. Jesus, facing death, neither admitted kingship nor claimed fulfilling Hebrew prophesy. To me, the Bible presents, perhaps misrepresents, a mysterious Jesus, and I think collaborating to discover MJM empowers pursuit of the-ineluctable-truth. By discovering and excluding false witness, humankind may eventually comprehend Jesus’ principles.

Third, I choose to discover MJM to benefit my way of living. I serenely perceive that if I changed my quid for the Christian pro quo (everlasting life to defeat death) MJM would be aware of my duplicity – lack of integrity. Despite all impositions, I cannot deny Phil Beaver.

I share my concerns, because I appreciate fellow citizens, as they are where they are. If my choices-for-me seem worthy of consideration, I do not want to change one person’s mind, because I do not know the-ineluctable-truth. Let people who read my concerns make their own choices. I want responsibility for only one person’s actions -- for my person’s life. I can& must caution, with appreciation, anyone’s attempt to force me to falsify my trust-in and commitment-to MJM.

I perceive 5 guidelines to civic-citizenship. Civic means reliability in human connections& transactions more than civility.

First, the appreciative human accepts that something constrains the consequences of human choices& actions. They study, experience& observe the constraints, and behave in self-interest. For example, civic-citizens never lie, because consequences eventually expose both the lie and the liar.

Second, it’s alright to speculate that something controls the constraints. Perhaps the-laws-of-physics (the-laws) control everything, including imagination& fiction. Perhaps the-Divine controls consequences. The-secular-Jesus offers civic-guidance. Humankind’s reason yields to the-laws.

Third, humankind conducts research, in order to discover the-laws and how to use them for each the-good and the-bad. Civic-citizens practice, facilitate, and encourage the-good, and pay taxes to pursue public provisions including statutory-justice and its enforcement. They act to convince people who choose the-bad to reform.

Fourth, civic-citizens appreciate political documents that affirm responsible-human-independence (RHI). Ancient civil-law codes developed by the Sumer civilization then finalized 3,700 years ago by the Babylonian, Hammurabi, proposed human cooperation as though the-Divine left secular progress to humankind. The responsibility is abstractly expressed in Hebrew vernacular in Genesis 1:26-28. The United States, 3,000 years later, proffered the 1787 Constitution. It proposes 5 public disciplines for RHI “to ourselves and our Posterity”.

Fifth, civic-citizens neither initiate nor accommodate harm to-or-from any person or institution, including self.

These 5 principles empower the individual to constrain chaos in their way of living. RHI has not drawn attention yet, because Education Departments focus on “the workers we need” and do not teach human being (verb).

When most people are pursuing RHI, an achievable better future will seem possible. When 2/3 of inhabitants practice, facilitate& encourage RHI, a better humankind will emerge.

It matters not to humankind if the United States is not the first nation to pursue RHI.

I think so but don’t know “human-nature” so can’t be certain.

I understand that the newborn human-infant is a feral animal with potential that requires a quarter century to nourish and as much or more to develop. In contrast, a foal stands on 4 legs in about an hour, finds its mare’s tit in about 3 hours, and can be ridden in 3 to 4 years. Prime working years are 6 to 15. A human’s prime working years are 40 to 70, and maturity follows.

The human body takes a quarter century to completely construct the informed-decision-making portions of the brain. The young adult works another quarter century to acquire the experiences& observations on which to develop wisdom. This is so, because being human (verb) proffers possible psychology for perfect choices& actions in personal ways of living.

So far, Education Departments train the workers they need rather than inculcate in youth and adults the comprehension and intention to pursue human being. Civic-integrity is in the person’s self-interest. “Civic” refers to reliability in human connections and transactions more than civility.

If civic-citizens, We the People of the United States, as defined by the preamble to the U.S. Constitution, require Education Departments to aid children and adults in the transition to human being, an achievable better future will emerge.

Then, we should be able to affirm my claim that most people want to practice civic-integrity.

The premise that there is no basis for good versus bad is false, and “ethics” delays discovering the-good.

It seems clear that humankind is solely responsible for life on earth: neither government nor God can usurp that responsibility. Further, humankind’s process for executing that responsibility is research to discover the-laws-of-physics and how to apply the laws to the-good. In research-failure, humankind admits not knowing the-good.

To employ the-laws-of-physics in-order-to defeat the-good is bad. To avoid, change, escape, neglect, or resist the-laws-of-physics for personal gain is egregious.

A couple examples should suffice. First, human life is sustained by the energy to breathe. It takes exponential-magnitudes more energy to maintain breath. Nuclear energy is a boon to energy supply, the-good. However, nuclear energy can be harvested as a bomb, the-bad. The choice to make bombs in order to control people is bad.

Second, humankind experiences and observes the consequences of choice and action. The journal of consequences can& may be used to establish constraints toward the-good. To avoid, change, escape, neglect, or resist those constraints is bad.

We have yet to address ethics. Accepting research to discover the-good, the function of ethics is to construct social exceptions from the-laws-of-physics.

Consider, for example, constitutional law. The 1787 U.S. Constitution proffers a system of government that pursues statutory-justice. When experience or observation shows written law is unjust, the legislature can& may discover relief and amend the Constitution to achieve the-good. On the other hand, Congress can negotiate compromise that advantages to a special-interest group, effecting the bad. For example, the First Congress craftily granted themselves freedom of religion at the people’s expense: “preventing” in the religious-practice clause should be “promoting”. If civic-citizens, We the People of the United States, as defined by the preamble, accommodate bad legislation, Congress claims they followed ethics. But the civic-citizens avoided, changed, escaped, neglected, or resisted the-good. Ethics delays discovery.

No:  Some people don’t want to learn, and there is no way to force them.

However, a civic-people can& may reform every Education Department, in order to inculcate in every youth& adult the comprehension& intention to pursue human being (verb) rather than to train the workers the nation thinks it needs.

I think each person is free to choose what they want and cannot escape the consequences of their actions. The person who accepts this principle early in life does not repeat mistakes and therefore does not acquire negative habits. As experience& observations increase, they wake up each day, happily facing its challenges with serene-confidence in their self-interested integrity. They have the possibility to approach their unique perfection before death.

Soon, they accept that human being (verb) is a civic collaboration to discover& accept the constraints on personal choices. RHI begins with conservation of energy: human-living requires personal energy to breathe. The feral infant is unaware and totally dependent. However, during their first quarter century they can& may accept the comprehension& intention to work. Using work, they pursue the responsible happiness they want, rather than the lifestyle someone else would impose. They can& may serve in a capacity that rewards the power that is required to sustain their breath for their happiness.

Persons who cause or accommodate harm invite subjugation to statutory-justice. Civic-citizens earn to pay for the happiness they want and to pay taxes to pursue& enforce statutory-justice. Statutory-justice is pursued by research to discover the-laws-of-physics& progeny (the-laws). Progeny includes mathematics, chemistries, biology and psychology. Imagination and fiction are possible only because of the un-discovered. The-laws constrain the consequences of human choices& actions.

Each generation is patient to promote the civic-integrity that RHI requires. They maintain research, in order to continually increase their posterity’s opportunity to achieve the happiness they want – a happiness the living adults cannot imagine. No RHI-culture exists, because no civic-people has decided to pursue it.

The 1787 U.S. Constitution proffers pursuit of an RHI-culture. It provides for amendment of legal precedent so that extant adults and their posterity can& may pursue statutory-justice. U.S. intention, stated in the preamble, is 5 public disciplines – integrity, justice, security, strength, and prosperity, “in order to” pursue RHI “to ourselves and our Posterity”. Posterity includes legal immigrants and descendants.

The 1787 Constitution accommodates the political philosophy developed by Sumer, a civilization that existed 5,500 years ago. The key is the primitive phrase “so that they may rule”, regarding the evolution of homo sapiens (Genesis 1:26, NIV). The Sumerians accepted that they can, so invented the wheel, language, codes of law, and many other acts of RHI. Sumerian descendants& influence live on. Through discovery, modern humankind, NASA, plans to colonize either the moon or Mars in 10 years. 

When most civic-citizens want an RHI culture, restoring the 1787 intentions of the United States offers an expedient path. If the U.S. is lost, some other country can make the necessary choices. Meanwhile, every civic-person can& may pursue reliability to the-laws-of-physics& progeny.

The 55 framers designed a civic-institution “to ourselves and our Posterity”, and the 39 signers proffered the U.S. Constitution on September 17, 1787. However, at least 3 of 9 ratifying states insisted on Anglo-American religious arrogance, and the consequence is the 1791 Bill of Rights.

 

 The most egregious tyranny is Congress’s First Amendment religious practice clause at the people’s disadvantage. Civic-people can& may reform Congress by replacing “preventing” with “promoting”. Einstein’s mathematical model worked with a dynamic universe, so he added an arbitrary factor to force the static paradigm. Ten years later, Edwin Hubble proved the universe is dynamic and expanding. Einstein admitted his blunder and stopped using the “cosmological factor”. Second, to claim to know there is-or-is-not a God seems failure to accept that discovery could negate the imagining. This is not unlike Einstein’s blunder: correctable, either by removal or re-application of the arbitrary assumption.

Personal opinion about God, yes or no, helps some people pursue and positively apply the-laws-of physics. They cannot be discouraged, because they experienced the-good during their lives.

No. Ethics is the art of breaking rules with political honesty. Civic-citizens demand integrity. There are two commitments: to apply& maintain the Constitution and to uphold& pursue the intentions stated in the preamble.

The Constitution specifies a republican form of government. Civic-citizens vote for representatives rather than on direct legislative action. Representatives disrupt mob rule. The U.S. government is further limited by distribution of legislative, administrative, and judicial powers. Power not granted to one of those 3 central branches is left to the USA’s civic-citizens in their states. Herein, “civic” expresses reliability in human connections& transactions plus upholding written law, rather than submission to political powers. State-citizens, through their state-constitutions, authorize powers to counties and cities. These entities are divided into districts, so that a citizen may locate to more closely satisfy their political distinctions.

The preamble grammatically expresses a subject’s compound action to an object: civic-citizens preserve the Constitution to pursue 6 open-intentions “to ourselves and our Posterity”. Here is the text:

There are 5 more subtleties.

First, “We the People of the United States” is the civic entity that authorizes, in the Constitution, limited powers, in order to pursue the intentions. In other words, U.S. citizens who care not about the intentions are not of We the People of the United States. The careless citizens subjugate themselves to the civic-citizens and become dependent. The civic-citizens can& may outnumber the dependents. Second, the continuum of U.S. citizens have self-interest-in, benefit-from, the pursuits& accomplishments. That includes legal immigrants and the nation’s descendants, whether civic or careless. On the other hand, if dependents outnumber civic-citizens, physical viability lessens. Third, the 6 intentions are domestic pursuits without standards of achievement. Thereby, for example, “establish Justice” facilitates& encourages extant civic-citizens rather than binding them to erroneous tradition. The Constitution provides for amendment so as to pursue statutory justice rather than to preserve legal error (erroneous precedent). No one knows the ultimate good the system could achieve. Fourth, the civic-citizen, in each stage of their life, maintains a personal interpretation of the 6 goals in order to guide their vote to authorize a fellow-citizen to become their locale’s representative. My personal interpretation of the preamble is: we civic-citizens comprehend, practice, facilitate, and encourage 6 domestic disciplines: integrity, justice, security, strength, prosperity, and responsibility “to ourselves and our Posterity”. Fifth, the preamble does not promote religion, thereby, assigns spiritual motivation& inspiration-choices to adult privacy. In this regard, the religious-practice clause of the First Amendment is in conflict and can& may be amended to “promoting” instead of “preventing”. Religion can& must accommodate statutory justice.

Citizens who are not of We the People of the United States, as defined in the preamble to the U.S. Constitution, are domestic aliens. Domestic aliens ought not be licensed to vote in city, county, state, or federal elections. Demonstration of recent action to comprehensively aid fulfillment of the preamble’s intentions can& may be a requirement to receive or maintain license to vote. License to vote can& may be a requirement to either run for election or accept appointed office.

This implies that the right to vote is predicated on a citizen accepting the intention to be civic. Acceptance of mere existence as license to vote has developed by domestic violence and can be reformed. As we near the end of 2023, it is clear that alien forces intend to enslave all vulnerable people. The Internet enables the people to recognize the tyranny. They can& may accept, at last, that comprehensive—safety& security is possible if and only if they constrain chaos in their way of living.

When half plus one of the world’s vulnerable individuals accept responsible-human-independence (RHI), an achievable better future will become possible. When 2/3 have joined the reform, the better future will emerge.

This is not a new concept. Hebrew scholars, 3,000 years ago, reported, in their vernacular, now 5,500 year old Sumerian political philosophy: only male& female human being (verb) can& may pursue comprehensive—safety& security to life on earth. That’s my interpretation of Genesis 1:26-28, NIV only. I’d like to read yours.

Unfortunately, monotheism, introduced 4,000 years ago displaced polytheisms such as Sumer’s, and the consequence in 2022 is diverse theisms that exploded into the chaos the world is now suffering. Literature written between 3,000 years ago and 1,700 has empowered elite tyrants to bemuse most people until now. The erroneous “woke” movement has brought attention to the opportunity for individuals to constrain chaos in their way of living.

As with human being (verb) the more pertinent question is, can rights be asserted without responsibilities? I think the answer is, No.

Animals suffer incidental pain and humans also suffer psychological pain. Human-beings can& may accept responsibilities and be held accountable. Animals can be trained and groomed yet are dependent in those circumstances.

Any human can rise to leadership, but only animal-leaders can lead. I am sure there are many exceptions and deeper considerations, but do not think they change the No.

It seems obvious that if a person is to live in comprehensive-safety& security, they must pursue it. Neither the-God nor a government can& will pursue a person’s responsible privacy.

The potential for individual happiness through responsible privacy has existed from the beginning. However, primitive man was too busy working-to-survive to pursue happiness. Yet happiness to them was all around them – in the smell of grass, the trickle of water, the daily hiding and un-hiding of the sun, a warm fire, satisfactions.

Pursuit of happiness became more feasible with the emergence of homo sapiens, 300,000 years ago. About 10,000 years ago, Sumer kings accepted that their Gods would-not, could-not pursue order and prosperity on earth. So they initiated codes of law by which to organize and regulate society to practice, facilitate, and encourage responsible human independence (RHI). Civic-citizens contributed according to their abilities, and un-civic citizens suffered justice according to the law. Offenders suffered in kind to their offense. Successive Sumer kings improved the codes until they were displaced by Babylonians, and Hammurabi authored the latest code about 3700 years ago.

Monotheism emerged and dominated political philosophies about 4,000 years ago. About 3,000 years ago, Hebrew scholars expressed the Sumerian political philosophy in monotheistic vernacular in Genesis 1:26-28. Interpret it your way. I think it says that the-God holds that male& female humankind, in the-God’s image, can& may practice RHI for order and prosperity to life on earth and to the earth.

Since then, civilizations have constructed their-Gods to usurp RHI. One culture’s God will defeat another’s. But the Gods don’t observe the constructs. Today, there are so many Gods that the world is in chaos.

A public-godless government that fosters RHI was proposed. The 1787 U.S. Constitution proffers 5 public disciplines – integrity, justice, security, strength, and prosperity, “in order to” promote RHI “to ourselves and our Posterity”. Three of the 9 ratifying states required some English-law mimics. Congress’ work became the 1791 Bill of Rights.

The religion clauses of the First Amendment provide Congress freedom of religion at the people’s expense. This tyranny can be remedied by altering the religious-practice clause to “promoting” instead of “preventing”.

The nation that takes interest in the 1787 U.S. Constitution as an improvement on Genesis 1:26-28 can& may pursue an achievable better future.

Question: Do we need a new political philosophy?

Answer: No, but a preferred one needs to be implemented by a nation or culture.
Humankind needs to improve an ancient political philosophy that originated perhaps 5,500 years ago under polytheism. Subsequent civilizations evolved to monotheism-dominance beginning 4,000 years ago. The U.S. proposed a secular culture in the 1787 Constitution, but the First Congress reinstated religion, to mimic English tradition, in the 1791 Bill of Rights.

The development began with the Sumerian civilization, projected onto Babylonia, was obscured by Hebrew scholars, was lost in Judeo-Christianity, and was improved by the framers and signers of the 1787 U.S. constitution.

Sumerian kings surmised that the gods left responsibility for order and prosperity to life on earth solely to humankind. They developed law codes to constrain citizens who did not collaborate in the work.

We can establish responsible-human-independence, which was suggested 5,500 years ago then waylaid by monotheism, which inspires citizens to tolerate war and wait for a divine to provide relief.

In the oldest well documented civilization, a succession of Sumerian kings gradually accepted that their polytheism controlled other worlds and left to humankind sole responsibility for order and prosperity to the earth and its species. Sumerians served as slaves, workers, artisans, administrators, and royalty. Classes collaborated to discover the-laws-of-physics and apply them to positive benefits (, hereafter, physics). The kings developed law-codes to constrain unreliable citizens, commensurate with their offense. People enjoyed lifestyles limited by their contributions. Government sufficed until a Babylonian king defeated the Sumerians.

About the same time, monotheism dominated political philosophy. Kings developed doctrinal military-power on the hearts of believers: their culture had a powerful God. Successful kings developed monotheisms in partnership with the clergy. Citizens, busy surviving and thriving, worshipped and praised their civilization’s God, in exchange for safety and security. Royalty and churches thrived on the people’s prayers and hopes for a better future. For some quid the pro quo would be favorable afterdeath, that vast time after body, mind, and person stopped functioning.

From the development of Mesopotamian monotheisms, there emerged a doctrine of subjugation to laws to bargain with their God. Another culture emerged from natural gestation-surrogacy. It eventually developed submission to their doctrinal God. A third group developed everlasting life on belief in Christ, Greek for “anointed one”. Today, each of these doctrine has factions that vie for political if not military power. Thus, monotheism distorted polytheism such that religious-imposition prevents civilizations from developing responsibility for ways of living. Appreciation to physics prevents reverting to polytheism.

I know of one proposal to end competitive monotheism that lessens attention to the-laws-of-physics, or civic-integrity. The 1787 U.S. Constitution proffers a culture of 6 public disciplines --- integrity, justice, security, strength, prosperity and RHI “to ourselves and our Posterity”. Posterity includes legal immigrants and descendants. The 6 disciplines leave religion or none to adult privacy. U.S. neglect has left it to some other nation to improve and establish the RHI-culture.

On a personal level, each civilization has a faction of civic-citizens – people who accept: to survive they must constrain chaos in their personal way of living. Each of them seeks a locality wherein they can expect and aid physical safety and security so that their daily contributions effect the responsible happiness they want. Recognizing the commonality of this human need and want, they spend at least 40 hours a week providing a publically-needed good or service. Civic-citizens know that the daily needs for human living cannot be supplied alone. That is, a watchmaker cannot be a cake-baker. Therefore, they collaborate with fellow-citizens who aid civic-integrity by providing a publically needed and wanted good or service.

This is the basic statement of the capital system: a day’s cost of living for a day’s work. To make the system feasible, the state can& may separate from religious interests, leaving them to the privacy of each adult citizen. For example, the 2022 U.S. administration is imposing U.S. conversion from Anglo-American religion to liberal democracy. The U.S. First Amendment must be revised in the religious practice clause to “promoting” instead of “preventing”, ending Congressional freedom of religion at the people’s expense. I feel certain this can happen, if civic-citizens, We the People of the United States become woke to their fleeting opportunity to preserve the U.S. constitutional republic.

The state must reform economic regulations so as to encourage entrepreneurship and creativity without picking the pockets of consumers. There can be neither royalty class nor poverty. Even the lowest service, must offer the provider adequate food, clothing, home, transportation, communications, education, re-education, health care, payment of taxes at local state and national levels, and savings for emergency, family, and retirement. In my opinion, entertainment should not be the risk/reward structure with wealthy rent seekers that it is. By all means there should be no perks for government service, and duration of the service should be limited.

I’m only an old white man, help mate to my wife of 53 years, and father of her three children, one deceased. When I lacked the courage to sign the contract to build the house she and I designed with our children’s input and including her grandmother’s room and bath, fear overtook me and our future was in question until she said, “That’s not the husband I married.” Soon, we’ll own that home and pay only the maintenance, taxes and insurance. It has been roses and thorns. I know, because I have the records. However, I only recall that a dream is being lived.

We can share U.S. stories “to ourselves and our Posterity”. They are not American stories. They are U.S. stories of responsible-human-independence, made possible by the 1787 Constitution. Partial re-establishment of erroneous English tradition, in the 1791 Bill of Rights, must be reversed.

The-laws-of-physics and its progeny limit both progressive license and religion. Being an unseen activity, religious freedom cannot be legislated other than to empower the legislators to decide what religion is, disenfranchising the people.

“[T]he idea of human rights, the idea of the equality of all people before the law, [and] the recognition of the inviolability of human dignity in every single person” pale before secular responsibility according to Genesis 1:26-28.

The idea of free-will is a construct by which people whet and satisfy banal appetites and abuse other people even though they can& may pursue civic-integrity according to Genesis 1:26-28.

Most egregiously, this article bemuses readers:  Is the logos God? Christ? The Catholic Church? What happened to Jesus – just plain Jesus -- my secular guide?

Prompted by the, I think, weak, The Pope Who Schooled the Politicians – David G. Bonagura, Jr. (lawliberty.org), I decided not to read Steadfast in Faith: Catholicism and the Challenges of Secularism.

In the consideration I found this quote of the book: “. . . secularization, a condition whereby the world increasingly operates as if God did not exist.”

That’s a good idea at least 4 ways. First, it seems good to accept God’s appreciation of human being (verb) without trying to impose on God. Second, it facilitates attention to the secular Jesus. For example, when asked if a man can divorce his wife because he wants to, Jesus replied that a man unites to his wife and becomes inseparable (Matthew 19:3-8). Third, Hebrew scholars, 3,000 years ago, in their vernacular, in Genesis 1:26-28, expressed 5,500 year-old Sumerian political philosophy. A message is that humankind can& may rule the world, “as though God did not exist”. Fourth, by accepting secular responsibility, a person can& may practice human being during life, humble toward God’s rule in the afterdeath.

Anti-Semitism? Words are important. I consult merriamwebster, online.

“Semitism” means “policy or predisposition favorable to Jews”. Does humankind have reason to favor Jews?

"Jew" means "a person belonging to a continuation through descent or conversion of the ancient Jewish people". The phrase “conversion of” seems clumsy in context. Also, I perceive both religious and political rather than racial transformation. I advocate human being (verb), based on Genesis 1.

The ancient Jewish people expressed, in their vernacular, primitive Sumerian political philosophy in Genesis 1:26-28, NIV:

Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.” (My emphasis.)

The word “may” implies can, by choice . . . “be fruitful”. The Sumerians were polytheists. War between cities and the nations was common. It was unlikely that any nation or culture could imagine leading humankind to fulfill Genesis 1’s responsible-human-independence (RHI), a secular practice. However, 5,000 years later, the 1787 U.S. Constitution proffered an RHI-culture. Practicing RHI requires acceptance-of and pursuit-of human being -- living with god-like abilities.

Beginning in Genesis 2:4, the Jews constructed their monotheism with mysterious communications between their-God and them. Favor was predicated on the law given to Moses and further developed by legislators. Jews who obeyed the law and loved God would be rewarded. A faction predicted an anointed one, Moshiach, to establish their kingdom on earth. Would Moshiach usurp Genesis-1-RHI? I think so, but do not know Judaism.

Early readers translated "anointed one" to the Greek "χρισμένος". A Jewish faction thought Jesus was the Messiah. Translations into English evolved to competitive "Christ", decades and centuries after Jesus died. Both "Messiah" and "Christ" derive from factional Jewish-opinion about Moshiach. However, Jesus offered secular advice outside the Judeo-Christian competition. For example, Matthew 19:3-8, which advocates spousal inseparability, negates one feature of Moses’ law. Humankind can& may benefit from the-secular-Jesus. “Christ” ought not obfuscate Jesus.

Various monotheisms developed “Christ” to promote their Christian orthodoxy. The Ethiopian Tewahedo canon is reportedly the largest and perhaps oldest. The Roman-Catholic Orthodoxy, promoted by Constantine for secular reasons, dominated the Eastern Orthodoxy. The Protestant canon issued in 1560 and Christian sects exponentially increased. None of them extols Jesus above “Christ” and none promote the-secular-Jesus.

I perceive no reason for “policy or predisposition favorable to Jews” or any other faction of humankind, excepting individuals who comprehend, practice, promote, and encourage Genesis-1-RHI, aware of the source or not. Citizens who develop a Gensis-1-RHI culture have the potential to reform humankind to an achievable better future.

The ultimate, collective human being (verb) seems to pursue comprehensive safety and security on earth, including its extensions. (NASA plans a colony on the moon in 10 years.) The sooner reliable-citizens accept, practice, facilitate, and encourage statutory justice, the sooner each human-being (noun) may responsibly pursue the happiness they perceive, where they are, rather than subjugate-to someone else’s vision for them. The 1787 U.S. Constitution proffers a reliable culture. Reform can& may happen.
