"Civic"
refers to citizens who collaborate for individual
happiness with civic integrity more than for the city, state, nation, or
society.
Consider writing a personal
paraphrase of the preamble, which offers fellow citizens mutual equality: For discussion, I convert the preamble’s predicate phrases to nouns and
paraphrase it for my interpretation of its proposal as follows: This good citizen practices the U.S. disciplines---integrity, justice,
peace, strength, and prosperity, "in order to” develop responsible
human-independence “to ourselves and our Posterity.” I want to improve my interpretation by
listening to other citizens and their interpretations yet would preserve the
original, 1787, text, unless it is amended by the people.
It seems the
Supreme Court occasionally refers to it, and no one has challenged whether or
not the preamble is a legal statement. The fact that it changed this
independent country from a confederation of states to a union of states
deliberately managed by disciplined fellow citizens convinces me the preamble
is legal. Equity in opportunity and outcome is shared by the people who
collaborate for human justice.
Every citizen
has equal opportunity to either trust-in and collaborate-on the goals stated in
the preamble or be dissident to the agreement. I think 2/3 of citizens try
somewhat to use the preamble but many do not articulate commitment to the
goals. However, it seems less than 2/3 understand that “posterity” implies
grandchildren. “Freedom of religion,” which fellow citizens have no means to
discipline, oppresses freedom to develop integrity.
Selected theme from this week
Use responsible-human-independence to manage belief systems
A common theme of opinions offered this week is that
dependence of all kinds, including belief systems can be overcome with responsible-human-independence.
Questions touch rights, ideologies, social equality, hate in Jesus scripture, authoritarianism
as Machiavellianism, physics and its progeny, convincingly expressing
comprehension, female and male reliable human classes, opinion versus the-ineluctable-truth;
and ourselves tolerating tyranny seems evil to our posterity.

People who develop humble-integrity by which to estimate
their personal-integrity suffer U.S. Congressional tyranny.
The author of Genesis 1:27-28, the 1776 USA founders,
the 1787 U.S. framers, and the September 17, 1787 Constitution signers
ultimately advocated civic discipline “in order to” establish
responsible-human-independence “to ourselves and our Posterity”. That is to
say, civic separation of church and state. However, U.S. citizens suffer the
tyranny of religion-Congress-partnership under colonial-English tradition.
Among the 9 of 13 free and independent states, at
least 2 required addition of a British-mimicking Bill of Rights. Two more
joined later, and the U.S. began operating with 11 states. Their First Congress
imposed a British like church-legislative-partnership, which 10 of 14 states
codified in the religion clauses of the First Amendment. People who would like
to civilly accept Genesis 1 and responsibly pursue the happiness they want
carry the Congressional-tyranny of their religion partnership.
The entity We the People of the United States could
and should end the tyranny by amending the First Amendment so as to
promote U.S. humble-integrity rather than Congressional “divinity”. Write to
your Congressperson and Senators to demand this reform before 2022 arrives.

Absolutely.
That light just keeps getting brighter as my life accelerates.
It’s a long story I now count in quarter centuries, but I’ll try to make it
brief.
Mom and Dad, excellent lower-middle-class providers
were competing Southern Baptist female and male. By age twelve, I was a
would-be fullback that loved to read, collect stamps and coins, enter
science-fair contests, and collect fossils from a nearby quarry. At Staub
School, the library had a shelf of sky-blue biographies; Alexander the Great, Genghis
Khan, Ben Franklin, George Washington, Alexander Hamilton, Betsy Ross, Abraham
Lincoln, Abigail Adams, Booker T. Washington, on an on. I learned to read the
first page and last age and move to the next blue spine if not pleased.
Every Saturday, for RA’s, I had to repeat 3 assigned
Bible verses. I decided to read the first and last pages of the King James
Bible. The first page seemed familiar and too much for one reading. The last
page ended with threats I took personally. I could not then articulate my 2021
thought: No God I will nurture feels so
weak as to threaten me. Mom and Dad were so good to me, it took 4 more decades
to accept the precious doubt that fear invites the-good. My dear sister (d.
2017) helped.
After a quarter-century, I met the most serenely
confident person I can imagine, and she is now my wife of 2 quarter-centuries.
I get excited each time I anticipate telling her goodnight. She is Louisiana
French-Catholic by 3 family lines with one German ancestor. Along the way, my
Sunday-school class reminded me that Catholics burn in hell because they have
not been baptized by emersion after accepting Jesus Christ as their savior.
When I told them our three children were confirmed at age 13, they responded
with more erroneous religious opinion: Confirmation is not a Sacrament (good
grief!). Few people know how to withdraw from the Baptist brotherhood: I got it
done.
It took me another decade to appreciate that I had
dropped out of Christianity. Four-decades of self-indoctrination is not easy to
change.
After another quarter century, I am able to read
opinions like that of St. John in 15:18-23 and reflect: no God that suggests
hatred by fellow-humans can have my appreciation. I sigh and think, “For all I
know, Jesus is God,” but not John’s Jesus. I think Jesus said that the
human-being who accepts responsible-human-impendence can perfect their life
before mind, body, and person stop functioning.
People
who pretend to “witness for Jesus” may hide rather than accept Jesus’ advice.
Some have not the humility to imagine they may have rejected the-God for a
belief system.

Reducing human misery and loss requires conformity to
the-ineluctable-truth, most of which is unknown. This principle divides
humankind, its societies, and individual persons.
At any moment, civilizations divide on
discovery-and-intentions-to-responsibly-benefit from the-ineluctable
evidence---to lessen human misery and loss. No civilization is aware of the
psychological maturity humankind has developed, and most individuals within a
civilization are too busy surviving to imagine developing maturity on par with
humankind or better. Consequently, no 2 individuals have equal regards for
either the perfectibility of their person or their satisfaction of instincts.
The newborn human being has little chance to accept the
individual power, the individual energy, and the individual authority (HIPEA)
with which to develop the humble-integrity needed for responsible-human
independence (RHI).
I am obsessed with a perception that is proffered in the
triple combination of Genesis 1:27-28, the 1776 declaration of war
against England, and the 1787 constitution for U.S. domestic order. The combined
message is: “the good People” develop 5 public disciplines---integrity,
justice, peace, strength, and prosperity, “in order to” accept RHI to
“ourselves and our Posterity”. Not every citizens elects to be of We the People
of the United States.
Neither
God nor government usurps the individual human-being’s unique opportunity to
develop their person. Fortunate is the individual who is coached and encouraged
in the above principles or better: Perfecting their unique person is more
likely than tolerating infidelity to self.
Comprehension and intention to practice RHI far exceeds
freedom, liberty, and license in determining equitable outcomes.
https://www.quora.com/Where-is-the-truth-behind-the-claim-that-authoritarianism-is-for-weak-people-who-dont-want-to-make-up-their-own-minds?
by Michael Bertsch
I perceive “the truth behind it” is blunt tyranny over
civilizations. So far, the United States has suffered civil freedom of religion
rather than civic integrity.
If we think of “authoritarianism” as Machiavelli’s topic in
“The Prince”, 1513, then we can apply a Machiavellianism to comprehend how the
people can develop responsible-human-independence (RHI).
Female&male-human-being divides itself on RHI charged in
Genesis 1:27-28 but unobserved, so far. In seventeenth-century enlightenment
literature, freedom-from oppression and license-to enjoy a
liberty or privilege among fellow-citizens are confused and misguided; the
first is considered a “natural right” (church) and the second a grant from the
military victor or standing political power (state). Both “freedom” and
“liberty” persuade some individuals to “consent” to be governed rather than develop
RHI.
The person who accepts being a human being may develop RHI
by managing both “freedom-from” and “liberty-to”. For example, they earn
their desired way of living and happily pay the taxes due, meanwhile attending
a church or not, for the happiness they perceive. Under no circumstances does
someone who is developing RHI forgo sufficient humility toward whatever
controls the unfolding of the universe.
Developing RHI is possible because the human-being has the
individual power, the individual energy, and the individual authority (HIPEA)
to develop humble-integrity to the-ineluctable-truth rather than
tolerate infidelity to their person. In the existing world, development of
humble-integrity is unlikely, because no civilization promotes either humble-integrity
or the-ineluctable-truth.
Most civilizations inculcate in their youth a search for
higher power---a government, a doctrinal-God, a philosophy, or other
distraction from RHI.
Authoritarianism perpetuates tyranny over people’s minds.
One of the most successful tactics is Chapter XI Machiavellianism:
church-state-partnership. The lucky clergy and politicians in partnership live
high on the hog, and the people neither rebel nor emigrate. They believe that the-God
will eventually relieve their descendants from the misery and loss, even though
their ancestors kept that faith. Only a dreamer would act to end the tyranny.
England, by constitution, operates a long-enduring Chapter
XI Machiavellianism. A Catholic-Parliament partnership was formed under King
John’s 1215 Magna Carta. It was revised to a Protestant Church of England with
the 1689 Bill of Rights.
America, inhabited for millennia, was “discovered” initially
by Portugal and Spain, later by England and France, then Holland. Eventually,
other Europeans colonized North America. In 1763, the eastern seaboard from
Florida to Canada was 14 British colonies. Then, King George directed taxation
of the colonies to pay French-war debts. In 1774, the 13 colonies south of
Canada formed a confederation and began to write state constitutions. By April,
1775, shots were fired.
The founders wrote a declaration of war against England in
1776. They expressed humility toward both church and state, claiming authority
under “Nature’s God”, without disparaging the English Trinity, and expecting
victory under “the Supreme Judge of the world”. In 1778, they negotiated
military providence from France, delivered at Yorktown, VA in 1781.
Perhaps the 1776 Declaration is humble to the Genesis
1:26-27 charge to humankind to independently constrain chaos on earth. For all
we know, the Jesus of “I AM” wrote Genesis 1, so praying to him to effect RHI seems
defiant. Consequently or not, the framers, in the 1787 U.S. Constitution wrote
not one word lessening the humble-integrity the founders expressed in 1776.
However, Congress, in 1791 proffered a
religion-Congress-partnership, restoring traditional English-style Chapter XI
Machiavellianism, excepting with an “E Pluribus Unum”, factional-American
Protestantism. This tyranny over the entity We the People of the United States
will continue until most individuals appreciate Genesis 1:27-28 and similar
messages (Jesus’ render-unto-Caesar message), the 1776 separation of church and
state, and the 1787 affirmation. The U.S. must discharge subservience to
British tradition and begin to build statutory justice.
The first two steps I propose to “ourselves and our
Posterity” of 2021 are 1) to amend the First Amendment so as to prevent elected
or appointed civil officials in the U.S. from encouraging religious opinion
rather than civic integrity and 2) to restore the motto “E Pluribus Unum”. Let
fellow-citizens pledge to the flag according to their individual RHI; that is,
with or without the prayer “under God”.
Some of the horrendous impacts of U.S. “freedom of religion”
instead of civic-integrity include 1) the Civil War by white-Christian-church
erroneously firing on white-Christian-church, 2) Bush II’s invasion of Iraq
with prayer of 50 million citizens, and 3) V.P. Pence’s imposition of
erroneous, personal beliefs about Jesus to justify betraying the U.S.
Commander-in-Chief and his former running mate.
I hope my opinions encourage reform before 2022 emerges.
FB add on: Neither
freedom nor liberty precludes responsible-human-independence. In other words,
“consent of the governed” empowers tyranny over dependent people.

of people who have aided and encouraged this work.
First name only indicates the person ultimately withdrew association cannot
censor my appreciation. Other detractors did not generate appreciation and are
not listed. Some contributors last expressed opposition.
There were times in my life when I was not open to trust-in and commitment-to
the-ineluctable-evidence, most of which I do not know.
To Alexander Sedge:
I like your arguments for
human-independence and ask you to consider a valid-authority, by which a human-being
can constrain personal-opinion so as to align with humble-integrity. The
authority is: physics and its progeny, including psychology, which follow the
same laws. Imagination emerges from the unknowns and must eventually accept
the-ineluctable-evidence. In other words, physics does not respond to
metaphysics.
Physics and its progeny exist, and the
species female&male-human-being, equipped with high-awareness and grammar, perform
research, in order to discover and responsibly benefit. Attempts to
impose beliefs to deny the-ineluctable-evidence beg woe to the “scientist” and believers.
A political philosopher, about 4,000 years
ago, commented on the following principle in Genesis 1:27-28: in my view, humankind
must constrain chaos on earth. The political discussion during that recent era
had not the benefit of discoveries since then, such as the enormity of the
dinosaurs on earth 65 million years earlier, jet propulsion by which humankind
can explore our Galaxy if not the universe, and the dignity and equity due each
ovum a woman produces during her fertile years. I call the 2021 view of these
principles “responsible-human-independence” (RHI).
Upon accepting the-ineluctable-evidence,
the human-being tends to responsibly employ the improved comprehension. For
example, human-sacrifice to bargain with the-God is almost extinct in
civilizations. Nonetheless, many cultures promote a search for means to
persuade “the-God” to assume RHI so believers may favorably compete with other
civilizations. Such societies divide as civil-citizens and civic-citizens: the
privileged and the restricted; male and female. That is to say, humankind
divides on RHI.
The evolution of humankind seems about 7
million-years old. Bipeds made tools 3 million-years ago. Maybe language is
0.15 million-years or 150 thousand-years old, spiritualism 80 thousand-years
old, and grammar 3 thousand-years old.
Events from 4 thousand-years ago (since
Genesis-1) include Terah taking his family from Ur to go to Caanan and Abram
inheriting the family; Abram’s adultery; the Jewish Diaspora; the historical
Jesus; competitive Christian canon (including the Tewahedo canon); Islam from
Abram; King John relinquished legislative powers to Canterbury’s Catholic
Bishops and the Lords of Parliament (Magna Carta, 1215); the 1606 Virginia
charter’s “We . . . accepting . . . by the Providence
of Almighty God . . . in propagating of Christian Religion . . .”; a constitutionally required Protestant monarch (1689 Bill of
Rights), King George III’s 1763 attempt to tax the eastern seaboard colonies in
America in order to pay French-war debts; and in 1774, formerly loyal subjects
in America preparing for independence from England.
The founders, in the 1776 declaration of
war, expressed humble integrity to both church and state, metaphysics and
physics, responsibility and hope, in representing “the good People”. They separated
church by not disparaging either the English Trinity or the Catholic Trinity.
They claimed human authority on “Nature and Nature’s God”, which in 2021 seems
like physics-and-its-progeny in sufficient humility to its origins. Effecting
RHI, in 1778, they negotiated military providence from France. The French
delivered at Yorktown, VA in 1781.
In 1787, accepting the need for domestic
discipline, the framers specified a federal republic with accountability to individually
and corporately disciplined civic-citizens, even with dissident-citizens. Under
the 1787 Constitution, dissidents to RHI, or dependents through crime and
worse, would be constrained. There is nothing in the 1787 document, signed by
39 of 55 delegates, that lessens the humble-integrity expressed by either the
founders of 1776 or Genesis 1:27-28.
Egregiously, Congress, in the First
Amendment proffered a religion-Congress tyranny that the continuum “ourselves
and our Posterity” has tolerated to this day. The U.S. Supreme Court glibly
maintains the tyranny, referring to my objections as “niggling”.
The fellow-citizen who offers to fill an
office of the United States ought to lose his position immediately if he takes
an oath to fill the office under the U.S. Constitution then attempts to avoid
RHI with “so help me God”. What God must take a back seat because of this
person’s opinion? Is it the-God? The God of Genesis 1? Is it Jesus of “before
Abraham I AM”? The Jesus of “render unto Caesar”? Is it one of the Trinities?
The Jesus of disciples “hate” their family members? What mystery does the
Christian “witness” for? Is it the God of submission? Does the-God-of-chaos
control politicians and the clergy? I trust-in and commit-to
the-ineluctable-truth rather than opinion about its unknowns.
The entity “We the People of the United
States” as defined by the 1787 U.S. Constitution accepts 5 public
disciplines---integrity, justice, peace, strength, and prosperity “in order to”
promote responsible-human-independence to “ourselves and our Posterity”. Religion,
freedom, liberty, and consent of the governed flee from responsible-human-independence.
Alas, the culture intended by Genesis-1, the 1776 Declaration, and the 1787
Constitution, while proffered is not established. An achievable better future can
be obtained in less than a generation.
Mr. Sedge, if you like this rant, prepare
and write to your Congressperson and Senators to require them to amend the
First Amendment from “Congress
shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the
free exercise thereof . . .” to “No elected or appointed civil official in the
United States shall act to constrain the individual and corporate development
of humble integrity . . .” or better. Help this message go viral. Get the
amendment-reform ratified before 2022 arrives; it’s that urgent.
FB add on: Authoritarianisms are
bad with one exception: it is in the individual’s self-interest to conform to
physics and its progeny, unknown as the-ineluctable-evidence may be: accept “I
don’t know” when the-ineluctable-truth has not been discovered.
Should I worship and praise God? Hmmm. Would an authority

Please verify that I received your question such that I can
respond:
If I kindly express awareness and attention, you can prove
my comprehension. Am I correct?
Let me illustrate. The Sunday school teacher asks, “Why did
Jesus die on the cross?”
Someone responds, “Because the Rabbis demanded the emperor
to kill Jesus, and the emperor had not the courage to free an innocent man.”
The teacher responds. “No, no. Jesus died to redeem you of
your sins.”
The responder asks, “Are you asserting that God could not forgive
sin with responsible-human-independence by the emperor: the emperor had to
partner with the Rabbis?”
The teacher’s silence satisfactorily confirms the
responder’s comprehension.

Absolutely not.
Female&male-human-being (FMHB) divides itself on
responsible-human-independence (RHI). Some individuals choose to nourish
infidelity to personal interest. In order to flourish and constrain chaos on
earth, RHI was suggested about 4,000 years ago by a political philosopher
represented in Genesis 1:27-28. The Greeks, 1,600 years later suggested that
the-good citizen neither initiates nor tolerates harm to or from any person. Matthew
22:21 reports that 2,000 years ago Jesus said, “Give therefore to the emperor the things that are the emperor’s,
and to God the things that are God’s.”
This
separation of church and state is expressed by the framers in the 1787
constitutional ordering of the United States for and by the continuum
“ourselves and our Posterity” to develop domestic statutory-justice. Not one
word lessens the humble-integrity expressed by the founders’ 1776 declaration
of war against England and after the 13 colonies’ victory. In 1778, the
founders negotiated France’s military providence, at Yorktown, VA.
In 2021, it seems evident that neither government nor God
will usurp the individual’s power, energy, and authority (HIPEA). However, most
civilizations have tried to persuade the-God of Genesis 1 to take RHI.
Humankind seems divided into at least 3 classes: persons who intentionally
develop RHI, persons who want dependence, and persons who are unaware of their
power-to develop RHI. Every human being can have personal religious hopes with
the humility to develop civic-integrity.
Genesis 1 recognizes FMHB in the image of the-God, except
facing death. FMHB awareness and grammar empower it above the other living
species, and it can constrain the earth. The suggested independence is akin to
separation of church and state.
Accepting the 3 documents mentioned above---Genesis 1, the
1776 Declaration, and the 1787 U.S. Constitution, no citizen would run for
elected office or accept appointed office and the rebuke U.S. intentions by
ending an oath of office with “so help me God.” Fellow citizens ought to either
retain sufficient humility toward the-God of Genesis 1 or expect consequences.
Perhaps humans class themselves on humble-integrity versus
personal-hubris. If so, the U.S. ought to amend the First Amendment in order to
promote civic-integrity rather than religious-opinion.

by Patryk Widla
Taking “evil” as equivalent to tolerated tyranny, the
religion-Congress-partnership created by the First Amendment to the U.S.
Constitution in 1791 should be reformed in order to promote civic integrity
instead of colonial-English tradition.
My civic opinion is based on three documents. An ancient
political philosopher represented in Genesis 1:27-28 suggested that
female&male-human-being independently flourish (constrain chaos) on earth.
The founders, who in 1776 declared independence from England, conformed to
Genesis 1 and expressed separation of church and state, by not disparaging
England’s Protestant Trinity. They practiced responsible-human-independence in
1778 by negotiating for military providence from
France. The framers, in the 1787 Constitution specified domestic discipline
that did not lessen the humble-integrity the founders expressed in 1776. Only
39 of the 55 framers signed the 1787 document, and some of the dissenters wanted
to mimic England’s constitutional church-state-partnership but with
factional-American Protestantism.
Christian factions from Europe competed after the 1607
Virginia Charter’s boast “We . . . by the Providence of
Almighty God, hereafter tend to the Glory of his Divine Majesty, in propagating
of Christian Religion to such People, as yet live in Darkness and miserable
Ignorance of the true Knowledge and Worship of God, and may in time bring the
Infidels and Savages, living in those parts, to human Civility” and
1620’s Mayflower Compact’s claim “Having undertaken
for the Glory of God, and Advancement of the Christian Faith . . .” In
1789, when the United States began operations under eleven states, most free
citizens were Christians, and therefore did not object to Congress claiming
divinity on par with Parliament.
However, there’s tyranny bordering on evil
when any association of human beings claims to know the mysteries of Jesus
Christ or the Father or the Holy Ghost---the Trinity---whether Protestant
(1517), Catholic (405), Tewahedo canon (360), Deist (Edward Herbert died 1648)
or other. I found one interpretation of Jesus’ “I AM” statements to claim that
he is God; https://www.gotquestions.org/I-AM.html.
What if the historical Jesus, having read Genesis 1:27-28 as well as Exodus
3:14, said that before Abraham was born, philosophers knew that in order to
flourish, humankind must independently constrain chaos on earth? What if peace
on earth can only be achieved by each human-being intending to constrain chaos?
If so, the religious believer who tries to persuade God to
take people’s responsible-human-independence is arrogant.
Further, reserving sufficient humility to accept Jesus’
opinion about Jesus, it does not seem prudent for a person to claim to “witness
for Jesus”. It seems especially egregious if not evil to
impose civil religious-opinion on the three documents, Genesis 1, the 1776
Declaration, and the 1787 Constitution.
If you are as concerned about this national-tyranny as I am,
write to your Congressperson and your Senators on behalf of the 2021 “ourselves
and our Posterity”: Amend the First
Amendment from “Congress shall make no law
respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise
thereof . . .” to “No elected or appointed civil official in the United States shall
act to constrain the individual and corporate development of humble integrity .
. .” or better. Get the amendment ratified before 2022 arrives; it’s that
urgent.
I write to learn, so please comment.

civil religion is Congressional tyranny, now codified by the Supreme Court. Is
it also evil?
