Phil Beaver seeks to collaborate on the-objective-truth, which can only be discovered. The comment box below invites readers to write.
"Civic"
refers to citizens who collaborate for individual
happiness with civic integrity more than for the city, state, nation, or
society.
Consider writing a personal
paraphrase of the preamble, which offers fellow citizens mutual equality: For discussion, I convert the preamble’s predicate phrases to nouns and
paraphrase it for my interpretation of its proposal as follows: This good citizen practices the U.S. disciplines---integrity, justice,
peace, strength, and prosperity, "in order to” develop responsible
human-independence “to ourselves and our Posterity.” I want to improve my interpretation by
listening to other citizens and their interpretations yet would preserve the
original, 1787, text, unless it is amended by the people.
It seems the
Supreme Court occasionally refers to it, and no one has challenged whether or
not the preamble is a legal statement. The fact that it changed this
independent country from a confederation of states to a union of states
deliberately managed by disciplined fellow citizens convinces me the preamble
is legal. Equity in opportunity and outcome is shared by the people who
collaborate for human justice.
Every citizen
has equal opportunity to either trust-in and collaborate-on the goals stated in
the preamble or be dissident to the agreement. I think 2/3 of citizens try
somewhat to use the preamble but many do not articulate commitment to the
goals. However, it seems less than 2/3 understand that “posterity” implies
grandchildren. “Freedom of religion,” which fellow citizens have no means to
discipline, oppresses freedom to develop integrity.
Selected theme from this week
What is the source of necessity?
The person who appreciates the female&male-human-being observes
and experiences that necessity requires individuals to constrain chaos in their
lives.
It’s clear that ignoring an order to evacuate your home due
to storm, flood, fire, or other threatening-catastrophe invites woe. However,
it’s not so evident that telling a lie invites human pain and loss.
The person who develops the humble-integrity to never lie
and kindly resist lies expressed by others helps constrain chaos in their life
and in the community.
Many individuals ultimately die, hoping they solved the
mystery: What is the source of necessity? They never accept the
responsible-human-independence to kindly constrain chaos in their person’s way
of living.
We, the 2021 “ourselves and our Posterity” can reform the
U.S. by encouraging conduct that warrants appreciation, whether the-good is
noticed or not.

by Alexandra Pelayo
Conscience is the imposition of
external coercion.
The individual who accepts that
they are a human being develops the comprehension and intention to live,
whereas an opposite---animal, plant, or mineral merely exists.
The human-being may discover and
accept the individual power, the individual energy, and the individual
authority (HIPEA) to develop humble-integrity rather than
tolerate dependence on someone else’s vision for their happiness. With
humble-integrity, an individual can develop personal integrity, usually behave
for the-good, not repeat any mistakes, and approach perfection of their unique
person.
People who would like to impose
their happiness-vision on others pretend that HIPEA used to develop humble
integrity is “conscience”, which is coercion applied by imposed power. But the
individual uses HIPEA, aware or not, and, confused by conscience rather than
humble-integrity, feels bemused; lost; adrift.
FB add on: “Conscience”
seems a religion-bemusement from humble-integrity.

by Graham C Lindsay
I think tolerance has always been a bad idea. Intolerance is
useful: tolerance is not in a human-being’s self-interest.
The moment I discover someone is tolerating my opinion, I
change the topic to the weather, sports, politics, hair style, tie-knots, opera,
Monet, or other chit chat. I am especially intolerant of people who either
tolerate my person or present an ultimatum.
For example, I once told a priest that his doctrine placed
him between me and the-God, and that I am intolerant of such proposals. He
brutally said, “Then, we no longer have reason to talk.”
I cheerfully replied, “OK. Thank you.” The next time we met,
I talked baseball.
He
expressed humility by choosing a pine box for burial.
I think there are as many Orthodox/Catholic/Protestant factions
as there are Bible believers. Then there are Bible believers who are Jews,
Muslims, Tewahedans, Mormons, Unitarians; a list beyond my comprehension.
It seems prudent to reserve sufficient humility toward the-God rather than tolerate whatever-it-is.
This Bible reader interprets Genesis 1:27–28 to mean that necessity invites me
to appreciate and accept the responsible-human-independence to constrain chaos
in my-way-of-living.

So, you associate traditionalism exclusively to religious
institutions that wish to abuse the power of the state? It seems, at least to
me, that any institution that desires, or requires, state intervention and
force, is the exact opposite of tradition.
Reply by PRB:
Quite the opposite.
Genesis 1:27–28 suggests the necessity that the person who
accepts being a human being (rather than an opposite: animal, plant, or mineral)
must constrain chaos in their life. They cannot rebuke the-God by tolerating
chaos or by praying-for-relief-from the responsibility the-God assigned to
them.
Under existing political regimes, many persons foolishly
attempt to neglect the responsible-independence needed to constrain chaos in
their lives. A portion of fellow-citizens require “state intervention and
force”. In the future, mature U.S., the entity We the People of the United
States holds the state accountable. Humankind develops equity under statutory
justice, in order to lessen the proportion of living citizens who neglect
responsible-human-independence.
Neither government nor the-God usurps the individual’s
responsibility to constrain chaos in their life. Civic citizens, by developing equitable,
statutory law pursue the work of creating peace on earth.
The U.S. has not established psychological independence from
English political philosophy.

The self-interest to learn from fellow-citizens is healthy.

Egoism motivates stonewalling, which isolates the egotist
from learning from the other party.

Lies invite woe, and invited woe comes unexpectedly.
Of necessity, civic-people do not tolerate lies, in order to
lessen misery and loss. Individuals who don’t accept being truthful in
self-interest are vulnerable to ruin.
Consider R.E. Lee, who in 1856 claimed abolitionists were
evil against Christianity.

by Dhruv Prabhu
I don’t recall a question this retired chemical engineer
feels less qualified to answer.
My experience and observations suggest that the human-being
is equipped to perfect their unique person and may acquire opinions that
approach the-ineluctable-truth using open-mindedness, humility, and intentions-to-the-good.
The intentions may come if the person accepts that they are
in fact a human-being. If so, they may discover the individual power, the
individual energy, and the individual authority (HIPEA) to either develop
responsible-human-independence or tolerate infidelity to their person.
Open-mindedness empowers independence as the person’s
experiences, observations, and choices occur during the first two
quarter-centuries of human living. Born into a confused and conflicted world,
the person may learn that HIPEA guided by humble-integrity is in their best
interest. In other words, they gauge personal-integrity with humility toward
both fellow-citizens and necessity.
As this process continues into the person’s third quarter
century, they may recognize that their personal intentions favor the-good
rather than some rule or ideology they observed along the way.
Not all humans develop opinion in this way. Some persons
think crime and other dissidence pays. Consequently, humankind must constrain
some people’s behavior until they reform. Usually, a fellow-citizen’s example
is a better informant than exhortation, coercion, or force.

https://www.quora.com/Where-does-authenticity-come-from-and-how-do-we-know-its-source?
by Graham C Lindsay
Of course I don’t know either answer.
In my opinion, authenticity comes from discovered
physics-and-its-progeny, including psychology. For example, the person who
claims omniscience because they “have Jesus Christ in their heart” invites woe if
they take action that is arrogant toward Jesus’ message. To believe arrogance
is “human error” seems erroneous self-judgement. To act on St. John’s
hate-opinions in John 15:18-23, or any other Biblical-hate-counsel, may be
erroneous to Jesus’ message.
Perhaps Jesus’ reliable message included two. First, the
authentic human-being has the individual power, the individual energy, and the
individual authority (HIPEA) to develop humble-integrity rather than tolerate
infidelity to self. That is to say, they can perfect their unique person
(Matthew 5:48). Second, the necessity to accept HIPEA and choose
humble-integrity has been known since before Abraham was born (John 8:58 and
Exodus 3:14). That is to say, the human independence suggested in Genesis
1:27-28, about 300 years before Abraham, comes from necessity;
whatever-that-is, be it physics, chaos, or God.
In other words, humankind has not discovered the source of
necessity.
