Consider writing a personal paraphrase of the preamble, which offers fellow citizens mutual appreciation:  For discussion, I convert the preamble’s predicate phrases to nouns and paraphrase it for my interpretation of its proposal as follows We the People of the United States proffer & practice 5 public disciplines —- integrity, justice, peace, strength, and prosperity, “in order to” encourage & facilitate responsible-human-independence “to ourselves and our Posterity”. I want to improve my interpretation by listening to other citizens and their interpretations yet would preserve the original, 1787, text, unless it is amended by the people.

It seems the Supreme Court occasionally refers to it, and no one has challenged whether or not the preamble is a legal statement. The fact that it changed this independent country from a confederation of states to a union of states deliberately managed by disciplined fellow citizens convinces me the preamble is legal. Equity in opportunity and outcome is shared by the people who collaborate for human justice.

Every citizen has equal opportunity to either trust-in and collaborate-on the goals stated in the preamble or be dissident to the agreement. I think 2/3 of citizens try somewhat to use the preamble but many do not articulate commitment to the goals. However, it seems less than 2/3 understand that “posterity” implies grandchildren. “Freedom of religion,” which fellow citizens have no means to discipline, oppresses freedom to develop integrity.

Even the media take no responsibility for their words. Nancy Pelosi takes no responsibility for Capital Police. Capital Police officers take no responsibility for gassing citizens. The citizens take no responsibility for panicking. The media takes no responsibility for wording that passes the buck. Only the dead are held accountable for being there to be crushed by all the irresponsible actions.

The USA expects a responsible monopoly on force: local police, Capital police the National Guard, the military, each managed by responsible agents. The Jan 6 Committee owes it to the U.S. to investigate and prosecute the agents in charge of the monopoly on force and hold them responsible for this abuse of tear gas.

You will not find me at a public demonstration. I do not trust the U.S. freedom or liberty. I don't trust them with my vote, either, yet vote. I work toward responsible-human-independence (RHI) according to the intentions abstractly expressed in the 1787 U.S. Constitution.

RHI was also pursued by the Sumer civilization 5,500 years ago. No matter how they evolved, wise kings used their city-god to incentivize civic citizens to collaborate to 1) discover how to survive& at their peak, thrive and 2) constrain dependent fellow-citizens. I also nourish my awareness of physics& its-progeny: mathematics, chemistry, biology, psychology, imagination, fiction, and indeed everything. I try to avoid services I can render on my own; for example, I exercise in a public park.

I monitor and observe the law and manage family resources so as to pay our taxes. I consider each member of the family a person. I stay informed so that I may vote in my self-interest rather than help lessen my independence.

I contribute at church, so as to influence some fellow-citizens to happily accept salvation of mysterious soul according to personal hopes and also practice, facilitate, and encourage RHI. I also nourish friendships beyond church. I employ reliable services and faithfully pay their fee for service rendered. I appreciatively caution someone I perceive intends or is acting-in error.

I cannot imagine being free and prefer RHI.

Three documents abstractly express the above principle.

Third, the unity-commitment of 1774 was ineffective after the 1783 Treaty of Paris made the 13 states free& independent to the world. The Google ngram shows “replication crisis” perhaps breaking zero in about 1993, and barely emerging around 2014. “Scientific method” peaked in 1950 and “political science” in 1970. Durkheim (d. 1917 promoted citizen-interview statistics as political science and spawned social sciences.  A more frequently used, pertinent group of words and their peak-frequency dates include truth (1654), opinion (1814), evidence (1910), statistics (1978), research (1985), technology (1990), and science (2005). It seems human reliability is declining.

The issue is physics versus metaphysics, a long-standing debate. Human being must discover necessity& justice to survive. They are constrained not by reason or religion but by physics& its-progeny, including mathematics, chemistry, biology, psychology, imagination, fiction, lies, indeed everything. The human duty is to research the-ineluctable-evidence, accept the discovery, and if positive, do the research to comprehend usage to the human-being’s benefit. If the research is negative, the researcher must conclude: we still don’t know.

In research, statistics is a tool, used, for example, to examine whether or not evidence-controlling variables are included in the research. For example, a flat earth perceives length& width, omitting deepness. Social sciences are pretenses, because there is no ineluctable-evidence. There’s only human opinion and statistical designs to shape personal-interview gathering, analysis, and conclusions so as to prove an opinion. Researcher pretend that statistics can create evidence.

A new research team, also without ineluctable-evidence, is unlikely to replicate the statistical design, let alone reach the same conclusions. In stages with age, each student can develop as a human-being, may perfect their person during each decade, can acquire the comprehension& intention to live a complete human lifetime, and may embark on a journey of service to fellow-citizens in exchange for the prosperity for RHI; earn their keep. The citizen who accepts the opportunity, power, energy, and authority to discover& practice the-good enjoys the benefits: responsible-human-independence (RHI). The RHI-culture is maintained by civic-citizens. They discover physics& its-progeny and how to apply them for human benefits.

Dependent fellow-citizens rely on RHI-citizens for the-good. Arrogantly-dependent elites reason that they should take more. Reason is often a self-serving practice.

Merriam-webster online seems to take “certain” to modify opinion and imply no doubt, whereas “truth” seems to mean factual reality, re-describing the uncertainty: how does one earn an opinion?

After Harold Weingarten, in 2006, asked what truth is the object of my faith, I responded: the actuality that does not respond to human evaluation. I continued to search for a compact expression, and a couple years ago started writing “the-ineluctable-truth”. Ineluctable means “not to be avoided, changed, or resisted”. I think I have a standard on which to explore an improvement.

I see no reason to ponder “certainty”. The-ineluctable-evidence is either known or unknown, and if the latter, we don’t know the-ineluctable-truth. Some people prefer “the inescapable truth” in order to try to escape the-ineluctable-truth. It doesn’t work.

I think the “else” it could be is “We don’t know”. Accepting not knowing, when that is so, can open minds& hearts to the-ineluctable-truth when it is discovered.

For example, humility to the possibility that the-God does not comport to a doctrinal-God prepares the mind and heart to discover& accept the-God.

For six decades I tried to admire the practical Jesus I could surmise from Bible reports. However, Christianity presented too many contradictions I choose not to ignore. For example, in monotheism, why bemuse doctrinal-construct with 3 characters?

Recently, I developed my interpretation of Genesis 1:28: female& male-human-being can& may independently constrain chaos in their way of living. The reported Jesus supported if not authored Genesis 1. The political suggestion was recorded in cuneiform (Sumer civilization) perhaps 5,500 years ago, then expressed by Hebrew scholars 3,000 years ago.

Searching for reports of Jesus supporting the political suggestion in Genesis 1:28, I read with my new perspective Matthew 19:5, “. . . a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife.” This advice is not advanced by Christianity, and the political consequence is a high divorce rate among Christians.

With my view of Genesis 1:28, most New Testament reports of Jesus’s politics may be perceived as proffering self-interest for civic-integrity in life.

I think advocates for Jesus are well served to happily accept salvation of their mysterious soul and collaborate to comprehend, practice, facilitate, and encourage behavior for living following Jesus’ reported political philosophy.

If a person does not develop civic-integrity and encourage fellow-citizens to practice RHI-politics, they cannot expect to enjoy peace on earth.

I can only address the U.S. Constitution, so far, the world’s most promising failure, yet a candidate for establishment by civic-citizens. U.S. citizens of 2022 can& may effect reform.

Humankind evolved to homo sapiens perhaps 300,000 years ago, producing the oldest reported civilization, Sumer, flourishing 10,000 years ago and dispersed 4,000 years ago in the Middle East and beyond. They perceived that female& male human-being can& may, independent of other powers, provide order& prosperity to the lesser species and to the earth. I call this philosophy responsible-human-independence (RHI). For example, they invented the wheel for transportation and to translate forward donkey-power into water-lifting for irrigation. They had law codes that accepted the “can& may” human choice and therefore facilitated& encouraged civic behavior, with eye for eye justice and potential to lose life. Finally, they could not compete with civilizations that had access to iron ore. Theirs’s was a polytheistic culture, and monotheism ushered in competition for a God that could usurp RHI.

The recent 4,000 years demonstrates the consequence when homo sapiens attempts to avoid, change, or resist RHI. Physics& its progeny deliver predictable chaos, with no expectation for peace on earth. I’m now speaking of the 2022 appearances. I know of only one proposal to restore the 5,500 year-old Sumerian RHI intentions or better.

Together, the USA’s 1776 declaration of independence from England and the 1787 U.S. Constitution abstractly express intentions to develop RHI. In 1776, the founders asserted authority from “Nature’s God” rather than the English Trinity. In 1787, the signers proffered an amendable balance of national powers under constrained legislative, administrative, and judicial functions that unify the then 13 states, each managed by their informed& intentional citizens.

The intentions are abstractly stated in the preamble. My comprehension of existing U.S. intentions follows, below.

We the People of the United States practice, facilitate, and encourage 5 domestic disciplines --- integrity, justice, peace, strength, and prosperity, “in order to” establish responsible-human-independence “to ourselves and our Posterity”. Religion is left to privacy, and domestic standards are to be discovered by posterity.

However, the 1787 Constitution was not ratified. The required 9 states agreed to restore colonial-English tradition, complete with religious-freedom to Congress and imposition of Protestantism to the unsuspecting people. The first Congress codified amendments that mimic the 1689 English Bill of Rights in 1791.

Congress continued to develop the U.S. Code of legislation they pass and the president signs. Additionally, Congress reduced their responsibilities by creating regulatory bodies that have separate judicial systems not subject to the Supreme Court unless their change to the Code of Federal Regulations grossly defies the 1791 Constitution.

In review, the U.S. intentions for RHI are recorded in the 1787 Constitution, refuted in the 1791 Bill of Rights, weakened by the U.S. Code, and defeated by the CFR.

The U.S. Constitution has the merit the citizens provide. We, the 2022 “ourselves and our Posterity” can& may effect U.S. reform to RHI. We may desire, practice, facilitate, and encourage civic-integrity rather than civil-religion.

First, while equity& equality, freedom& liberty, and gender rights are popular propaganda terms, I focus on RHI. I think each human being has the opportunity to develop RHI (responsible-human-independence) within the constraints which physics& its-progeny place on them.

Fortunate is the human-being who is both born with human-individual opportunity, power, energy, and authority to develop civic-integrity and chooses to responsibly pursue the happiness they perceive rather than to submit to the image someone else has for them.

The world can provide this opportunity to those who want it. The USA can provide this opportunity to those who want it. My state can provide this opportunity to those who want it. My church can provide this opportunity to those who want it. None provide, and the human-being can choose to practice RHI.

Second, I did not invent these concepts even though I work for the expressions. That is, I offer them hoping fellow-citizens (globally and locally) will improve them. I site 3 documents that suggest the principles.

First, the political philosophy I call RHI was abstractly expressed in the law codes and practical inventions of the oldest recorded civilization, Sumer, situated in today’s Iraq, beginning about 11,000 years ago. One of their Gods informed them that human-being is capable& responsible to provide order& prosperity to the lesser species and to the earth. Their law codes accept that some citizens are unfaithful to RHI and provide incentives for reform or exit, depending on severity of the harm they caused.

Without a source of iron ore, Sumer could not compete with other civilizations, and dispersed about 4,000 years ago, having given humankind the wheel and the RHI-political-philosophy. Monotheisms dominated political developments, and none of them practiced, facilitated, or encouraged RHI. Monotheisms inculcate pursuit of higher power, primarily from the God their priests construct.

Second, the USA’s 1763 developing acceptance that the “new world” must be independent of other nations started an examination of the proper place for human-choice –responsibility -- in religious pursuits. By 1776, the founders claimed authority from “Nature’s God” rather than from England’s Trinity. Also, having participated in the Seven Years’ War between France and England over USA colonization, they called on “the Supreme Judge of the World” for military victory. In 1778, France joined the USA war for independence.

Third, the U.S. delegates to the 1787 Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia separated private-choice regarding religion from domestic-discipline to RHI. Only 39 of 55 delegates signed the amendable 1787 Constitution. Some of the non-signers influenced restoring colonial-British traditions including factional-American Protestantism in Congress. (Congress granted themselves freedom of religion in the 1791 Bill of Rights.)

This nonsense originated from Englishman John Locke in “Two Treatises of Government” (1690). In effect, elites present legislation to the people, and the vote of the majority codifies “consent of the governed”.

The Catch 22 is that the people are “too busy living the life they think they want” and don’t perceive bad legislation. So they cooperate with injustice. They are without blame, though, because it is obvious that if you don’t vote in self-interest, you are voting against yourself.
