seeks to collaborate on the ineluctable truth. Ineluctable means: Not to be assailed, avoided, broken, changed,
escaped, mystified, neglected, obfuscated, rationalized, resisted, revoked, or
voided. Some people erroneously imagine limiting the ineluctable truth, for
example, trying to change it.
"Civic"
refers to citizens who collaborate for individual
happiness with civic integrity more than for the city, state, nation, or
society. Civic citizens neither initiate nor accommodate harm to or from
anyone. Civic citizens are reliably responsible to the good rather than the bad
in connections and transactions.
Consider
writing a personal paraphrase of the preamble, which offers fellow citizens
mutual appreciation: For discussion, I convert the preamble’s predicate phrases to nouns and
paraphrase it for my interpretation of its proposal as follows: The civic faction, We the People of
the United States, proffer & practice 6 public pursuits —- integrity,
justice, safety, strength, prosperity, and responsibility, “in order to” pursue
happiness “to ourselves and our Posterity”. I
want to improve my interpretation by listening-to and considering other
citizens and their interpretations yet would preserve the original, 1787 text,
unless it is amended by the civic-people.
It seems the
Supreme Court occasionally refers to it, and no one with status has challenged
whether or not the preamble is a legal statement. The fact that it changed this
independent country from a confederation of states to a union of states
deliberately managed by appreciative fellow citizens convinces me the preamble
is legal. Equity in opportunity and outcome is shared by the faction who
collaborate for statutory justice, We the People of the United States.
Every citizen
has equal opportunity to either trust-in and collaborate-on the goals stated in
the preamble or be dissident to the agreement. I think 2/3 of citizens try
somewhat to use the preamble but many do not articulate commitment to the
goals. However, it seems less than 2/3 understand that “posterity” implies
grandchildren to both born Americans and legal immigrants. Congressional
freedom of religion, which fellow citizens have no means to constrain, oppresses
freedom to develop integrity. This can be remedied by changing the First
Amendment from “prohibiting” to “promoting”.
Selected theme from this month
Yeshua's civic influence to humankind
“Yeshua” is not new to the world. However, I discovered Yeshua at age 80, when I started reading the Complete Jewish Bible (1998). More than other
versions, CJB helps me relate to the Jews among whom Yeshua walked
and talked in Aramaic, which is closer to Hebrew than to either Greek or Latin
or one of the Englishes -- ancient, middle, modern, or American. (If I discover
that the person’s family called him Yeshuuʿ or Isho I will change from Yeshua
yet read CJB for now.)
The distinction I perceive is a real person who studied
experiences and observations, said things to contemporary individuals, spoke to
crowds, admonished administrators -- both mystical and practical, and improved
the Torah or Tanach but did not write. On the other hand, there is competitive
opinion as to how and whether/not that person fulfilled prophecy about
constructed human competition: did he influence error-free living, or mysteriously-favored afterdeath, or a chosen group, or something else?
At age 80, with the aid of my church, I was resolving my conundrum -- God, Christ, Jesus, or what? -- by working
to understand and apply, in voluntary collaboration with fellow citizens, Jesus’
civic influence. To admit humility, I wrote that for all I know Jesus
is the God. I stand by that claim: for all I know, the God intends to be
recognized as “Jesus”. I accept the God mystery.
It is not a question of splitting hairs or translation or transliteration for
competitive beliefs. I am committed-to and trust-in what I may and can
understand about Yeshua’s civic influence and its application to 2024’s “ourselves
and our Posterity” and beyond. “Civic” refers to reliable responsibility to the
good in human connections and transactions.
For example, Matthew 18:15-18 is Yeshua’s process to resolve perceived/actual
human conflict -- an areligious activity to the good. The God does not correct the consequences of Yeshua's process or
none. Churches and nations may and can mimic Yeshua's civic influence.

I do not support Eastman on the last 2 paragraphs. First, I think his choices are inadequate.
Second, I oppose dividing fellow citizens on faith, providence, and spirit --
mysteries.
About 5500 years ago, polytheistic Sumerian kings accepted
that the gods leave it to humankind to order the earth to the good. Their
political philosophy is expressed by competitive monotheists in Genesis
1:26-28, CJB and NIV, to include the word "rule". Paraphrasing,
humankind may and can rule on earth and the God will not correct what humankind
accepts.
The 1787 United States constitution accommodates the Genesis
1:26-28 politics with amenability by and for the people to practice the
intentions portion of the preamble, beginning "in order to" and
ending "to ourselves and our Posterity". The unstated object is
statutory justice.
Eastman attempts to impose the Declaration of Independence,
which is grounded in English religion. Neither the God nor a nation can assure
to even one citizen life, liberty, and either property (Locke) or pursuit of
happiness (Jefferson).
The civic faction, We the People of the United States, may
and can drop the freedom and liberty propaganda in order to pursue reliable
responsibility. A civic person heeds Ecclesiastes 10:2, Complete Jewish Bible,:
"A wise man’s heart leads him rightly, but a fool’s heart leads him
astray."
The United States' future rests on majority citizens' choice
to accept power and authority to constrain chaos in their way of living.
CDees
Why do you assume that every principle of Western Religion
is a problem? While
rigid religious dogmas are often unhelpful, there is useful wisdom to be had
from the thoughtful and wise adherents of ALL of the major world faiths if you
don’t approach them with the exclusionary mind of a zealot or the
dismissiveness which some atheists and agnostics do.
The Declaration
of Independence was the remedy to 1000s of years of oppressive monarchical
caprice and the political and religious control they used as an iron fist
against free thinkers. It opened the door to genuine prosperity for most of the
world. The good far outweighed the bad if you bother to do the hard work of
understanding the sum total of what’s in the history textbooks AND the rest of
the story that must be researched and digested in context and with an open
mind…
Phillip Beaver
@CDees . Thank you for responding.
Independence from England was necessary and could not have been accomplished
without Spain and France, both of whom were embroiled in Western Religion’s
wars.
Unfortunately,
British loyalists who could not or chose not to return to
their mother country used freedom and liberty propaganda to undo independence.
A few of the 9 required ratifying states interjected a mimic of the 1689
English Bill of Rights to be developed by the first Congress.
That rascal James Madison negotiated freedom of religion to Congress, granting
them “divinity” on part with Parliament, with its 26 upper seats assigned to
the Church of England’s bishops.
To undo this mischief, the civic faction of We the People of the United States
may and can revised the religion clauses of
the First Amendment to “promoting” instead of “prohibiting”.
I hope this is persuasive to our generation, who may be open hearted as well as
open minded.

Tennyson’s
King-Arthur-inspiration-to-the-good seems to have failed this world, now in
chaos. Quoting this article,
“This is the kind of mist we live with
today—the mist of moral equivalence. This is the idea that any judgment of any
one side must also lead to an equal criticism of the other. Anything less
“balanced” would be bigotry. Yet this leads to absurd conclusions that simply
turn morality inside out.”
I think poets have not yet recovered Yeshua,
the man who 2000 years ago inspired humankind to perfect behavior despite bad
attractions in life. The son of Yosef and Miryam of Nazareth was executed yet
survives Christ, the Pauline myth.
Yeshua studied and affirmed
Genesis 1:26-28, a Sumerian political philosophy now 5500 years old: the
heavens won’t control humankind’s choices on earth. Reflecting Genesis 1:26-28,
CJB and NIV, Yeshua encouraged each human-being to choose to pursue perfection
before they die. In each generation, Yeshua’s integrity lives not for myths but
for the ineluctable truth.
The Epoch Times’ fearless forum facilitates
Christianity’s reform to Yeshua’s civic influence to the good. It is not too
late for Yeshua.
Quora
https://www.quora.com/Does-a-theory-of-civil-disobedience-necessarily-depend-on-there-being-a-natural-law, Mercy
The question, "Does a theory of civil disobedience
necessarily depend on there being a natural law?"
What do you mean by “natural law”?
I found consideration online: “The strongest construction of the Overlap Thesis
forms the foundation for the classical naturalism of Aquinas and Blackstone.
Aquinas distinguishes four kinds of law: (1) eternal law; (2) natural law;
(3) human law; and (4) divine law.”
Natural law’s in the running to Aquinas.
Assume the human quest is to establish and maintain life
with statutory justice to those who will accept it. Thereby, human choices to
act would neither initiate nor accommodate harm to others. Not accommodating
requires constraint of choices that do or would cause harm. Legislation to
constrain harm and eliminate evil might be human
law.
Since no human knows either the God or what that entity
could be, there’s no role for “divine law”; that is, any divine law could not, would not overrule human law. This principle
is expressed by a 5500 year old political philosophy suggested in Genesis
1:26-28: on earth, humankind rules. (I cite the Complete Jewish Bible (1998) as
biased perception of ancient commentary on primitive thought.)
Researchers think evolution got underway 13.8 billion years
ago when something activated an infinitely small and infinitely dense
singularity. The consequences of the big bang seem to be constrained but not
controlled by the laws of physics and its progeny, such as mathematics, forces,
chemistries, biology, and psychology. Mass and energy are preserved, but paths
can be altered by human choices. The physics part of path determination might
be considered eternal law.
Human choices begin with the individual. Each person may and
can choose to develop as a god facing death (Psalm 82:6-7, John 10:34). Individuals
may choose to neither initiate nor accommodate harm to or from anyone (Agathon)
and accept the power and authority to rule on earth. They may practice civic
integrity to the good on earth in every connection and transaction.
Consequently, civic citizens aid
constraint of the bad. Legislation to the good constrains for reform dissident
or rebel fellow citizens and eliminates villains. Civic citizens uphold
statutory justice based on ineluctable evidence rather than on emotions. Reason
conforms to evidence. I think these principles express natural law.
Eternal law and divine law seem to be human constructs with
little if any validity to statutory justice among gods facing death. Under
human law, dissidents, rebels, and villains may remain civil by obeying
legislation, whether it’s in a state of statutory justice or not. Civic
citizens are alert to discovered injustice and work efficiently to increase
statutory justice, meanwhile upholding the unjust legislation. In the United
States, the civic good is intended “to ourselves and our Posterity”.
Extension:
When the legislature itself is a villain, civic citizens may
ultimately acquire the military, organizational, and economic power to
overthrow the government. It risks life and family.
The English colonists of 1774 intended to obtain the aid of
Spain and France and overthrow the monarchy’s rule in America. Spain
contributed money for the victory at Yorktown, 1781. Military presence was 5000
Brits with 3000 German mercenaries against 5900 Americans and 19800 French,
with 9000 of them onboard ships. Cornwallis surrendered to France and the
colonists. The Treaty of Paris, 1783, grants each of the 13 named colonies
statehood and global independence.
Unfortunately, Loyalists imposed restoration of Anglo-divine
law expressed in the 1791 Bill of Rights, foregoing the independence America
had won. Our generation has the opportunity to restore American independence –
establish United States independence.
Contrast the American Civil War, 1861. President Lincoln
accommodated if not arrogated a 7-states attack on the 34 United States
(including the rebels). I know of no greater civil disobedience and civic
tyranny. Lincoln’s advantage declined from 27:7 to 22:13 during the course of
the war. Civic travesty!

https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-general-publics-opinion-on-the-concept-of-everyone-having-their-own-opinion, Anon
I think most of the public erroneously holds opinion to be a
private affair, when in fact, each person gains freedom to pursue the happiness
they perceive if and only if they aid safety and security to humankind and the
earth they inhabit.
This
political principle was accepted if not discovered 5500 years ago by a
succession of Sumerian kings who developed law codes. The codes expected civic
citizens to constrain dissidents and rebels and eliminate villains. “Civic”
means reliably responsible to the good on earth. The imperfect codes were
completed by conqueror Hammurabi.
History
since then illustrates the consequence when people do not practice civic
integrity. That is, neither initiate nor accommodate harm to or from anyone.
I know of no
culture that developed these principles. However, the religion-free, 1787
United States constitution proffers a republic intended to develop statutory
justice “to ourselves and our Posterity”. So far, about 12 generations have
left us the opportunity to acquire the self-interest that is required to accept
and practice human power and authority to the good on earth. Let’s get started.

Happily, I lived to age 80 and, despite all the
obfuscations, discovered Yeshua's civic influence. A year later, the mysteries
of John, Peter, James, and most of all Paul (council of Jerusalem in 50 CE,
Acts 15 CJB), not to mention Matthew, Mark, and Luke, have taken their rightful
place as competing opinion.
My pursuit is comprehending what Yeshua said
either in conversation or preaching to his contemporary people rather than
opinion about him fulfilling Old Testament prophecy. With my opinion about
Yeshua's message, I then want to listen to fellow citizens to add their
perspective and perhaps arrive at Yeshua's civic influence for the generation
of 2024.
For example, Matthew 18:15-18 is Yeshua's
process for human conflict-resolution, which may result in forgiveness. V 18
tells us that whatever humans accommodate, the mysterious God will not correct.
By ignoring Yeshua's civic influence for
2000 years, we are experiencing and observing chaos. For example, the
administrative state says this: Because the previous administration added
justices we no longer yield to the Supreme Court, for example, on forgiving
some student loans.
Yeshua was the precocious boy who was born
to Yosef and Miryam in Nazareth 2000 years ago. He was the first ancient person
to affirm Genesis 1:26-28's political philosophy grounded in discovery: The
gods leave rule on earth to humankind, so here are our codes of law. Yeshua
affirmed the 5500 year-old politics in John 10:34, Matthew 5:48, and Matthew
19:4-5, among others.
Reading about Yeshua in the Complete Jewish
Bible (1998) helps me use his name to lessen the impositions of opinions coming
from the various names imposed on Yeshua since he was executed in about 33 CE:
Yeshua (3 BCE), iEsou christou (367 CE), Iesu Christi (414), Jhesu Crist
(1382), Iesus Christ (1535), and Jesus Christ (1557). Shockingly, the popular
name used in competitive monotheism is only 467 years old!
But I am not proffering competitive
monotheism. I am sharing the joy of living to age 80 so I can commit-to and
trust-in Yeshua's civic influence rather than a mysterious lordship -- a
religion. I am working to share joyous reform with my church of some 45 years;
they helped guide me to this discovery.

I wonder if buying a child a dart blaster is a parent's
unintended form of training for the future.
Here's a funny, somewhat unrelated, story. My brother, with my help, fabricated
swords from dismantled fruit crates and made shields from cardboard and string.
We pretended we were mortal enemies and reproduced the sound of the wood
penetrating the cardboard by yelling "Thuck". We would mimic crusades
for Christ.
Mom came running from the back door, not questioning her ears and yelling,
"You boys are using a terrible word. I told you not to pick up slang from
school. Now get in the house immediately!"
We didn't know to ask what was wrong with thuck. But here's the kicker: the
unexpected, long term development (not necessarily consequence) did not cross
her mind.
In relatively late adulthood, he said he did not have a brother.

When I share my trust-in and commitment to Yeshua of
Nazareth's civic influence, I am not suggesting the praise object I see on
YouTube. I'm talking about the precocious boy that Yosef and Miryam reared in a
harsh political and religious place 2000 years ago.
Yeshua was hidden from me until my age 80, when I discovered the Complete
Jewish Bible (1998). CJB aids my comprehension of the civic influencer rather
that an ancient-prophecy fulfiller.
Here's a table of impositions on his name:
Imposition Source Language Year
1. Jesus Christ Geneva English 1557
2. Iesus Christ Coverdale English 1535
3. Jhesu Crist Wycliffe English 1382
4. Iesu Christi Vulgate Latin 414
5. iEsou christou New T. Greek 367
6. other Yeshua Old T. Hebrew 200
7. Yeshua Messiah Acts 15 Aramaic 50 CE
8. Yeshua person family Aramaic 3 BCE.
Notice the 370 year gap from Yeshua to iEsou christou, then another 1190 years
to Jesus Christ, 467 years ago. The Old Testament entry is for date of assembly
only, because the "Yeshua" usages are for historical priests rather
than a prediction.
In the US, we speak American English yet honor Alexander Solzhenitsyn. Why
impose opinion on Yeshua of Nazareth? The old saw "to each his own"
holds for Yeshua, too.
I think it is not too late to reform, and civic followers may and can celebrate
the opportunity to appreciate Yeshua.

For about a year now, I have been reading the Complete
Jewish Bible (1998), written for Jews who consider Yeshua their lord. I do not
know what that means to them. It helps me relate to a good person: Yeshua.
Quoting Luke 2 CJB, first, V. 4-5, "Yosef, because he was a descendant of
David, went up from the town of Natzeret in the Galil to the town of David,
called Beit-Lechem, in Y’hudah, to be registered, with Miryam, to whom he was
engaged, and who was pregnant." Then, V. 21, "On the eighth day, when
it was time for his b’rit-milah [circumcision], he was given the name Yeshua,
which is what the angel had called him before his conception." I appreciate
Yeshua’s family and the name they used.
Accepting Yeshua as a person is helping me understand what writers say about
his aid to people's lives better than ever before. For example, John, in
Chapter 10 V. 34 reports Yeshua saying, “Isn’t it written in your Torah, ‘I
have said, “You people are Elohim’ ?" The footnote takes you to Psalm
82:6-7, "“My decree is: ‘You are elohim [gods, judges], sons of the Most
High all of you. Nevertheless, you will die like mortals; like any prince, you
will fall.’”
The message I perceive from Yeshua is this: each person I encounter may and can
accept the power and authority of a god facing death. If I perceive that a
person is not practicing human being (verb), I have the duty to tell them. My
mirror cautions me to accept mistakes and make amends.
Yeshua, in Matthew 18:15-18, informs me that resolving direct human conflict is
my responsibility. And harm I accommodate will not be corrected by the God (V.
18).
Yeshua's process for resolving human conflict is especially important when the
other party convinces me I was the offensive person. Then, I may enjoy the
privilege of forgiveness and restoration of friendship.
I accept the mystery of the God and pursue, through fellow gods facing death,
Yeshua's living guidance.

I've been reading the Complete Jewish Bible (1998),
apparently for Jews who believe in "the Lord Yeshua the Messiah",
quoting James 1, translated from Greek to Hebrew. I do not know what that
entity means to them, regarding Christ, the distinction being whether the
continually improved Torah is critical or not. However, I like reading about
Yeshua and use CJB more than NIV.
Today, I discovered a wonderful difference in CJB vs NIV respecting the Old
Testament. Ecclesiastes 10:2, NIV seems to accommodate today's political
conflict: "The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of
the fool to the left." CJB has, "A wise man’s heart leads him
rightly, but a fool’s heart leads him astray."
I prefer to mend my heart rather than criticize a fellow citizen's heart. I
wonder what translations from Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic suggest in Farsi.
There must be available enrichment in that translation.

Ecclesiastes 10:2, NIV seems to agree with Baba James:
"The heart of the wise inclines to the right,
but the heart of the fool to the left." And that seems appropriate for
today's politics.
Often, CJB parallels NIV, but in this case, the message draws personal
attention, with "A wise man’s heart leads him rightly, but a fool’s heart
leads him astray." I'm more interested in improving me than others. Let
them find their relief.
These days, I am less likely to know NIV's difference, because I get more
personal help from CJB.

Nothing could make me happier that this news that you,
Cleve, are now in the tender loving care of Jesus (Yeshua in my late and I
think final relationship, not knowing the ineluctable truth).
At age 78, I started attending, as a friend, the
Baptist church I had left when I resigned from the Baptist brotherhood and
from Christianity (1994). Then, I reported to the pastor and the Sunday school
class he suggested: I had returned after 27 years absence as a non-member
friend with 3 ideas to share: the human being may and can pursue the
ineluctable truth; the God assigned to humankind, rule to the good on earth, as
stated in Genesis 1:26-28; and Jesus suggests that each person may pursue
perfection before death.
After more than two years’ interaction with the people at
that church, I realize that Yeshua has reliably guided me since I was baptized
as an adolescent. I have been through many churches, who do their best to
express and uphold opinion about Yeshua yet cannot negate what he shared in
dialogue with individuals and to crowds. Yeshua, a Jew, improved Moses’ law.
Ancient divinity schools could not tolerate consequential appearances, so they
persuaded the government to kill Yeshua then competitively imposed their
opinions on his entity.
When I married Cynthia, I did not articulate the
completeness of the commitment I lived. I now know I trusted Matthew 19:4,
“Haven’t you read,” [Yeshua] replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made
them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father
and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’?”
Yeshua referenced Genesis 1:26-28 and did not imply the husband turns his back
on reliable responsibility to self, family, and humankind.
I had no idea you needed baptism and appreciate the fact
that you chose it. I never knew a more reliable person. Today, I am
celebrating, in my mind and in my heart, and am even more grateful for your
marriage and appreciative to Mel.

When a person accepts personal power and authority to practice
civic integrity, elites no longer influence them. "Civic" means
reliable responsibility to the good in human connections and transactions. The
civic citizen constrains chaos in personal ways of living.
May 7, 2024
I get a constant stream of this kind of insight into Phil
Beaver's problems in the weekly newspaper "The Epoch Times".
Published in NYC and distributed, locally by US mail from Dallas, every issue
is packed with news with a conservative bias. Beginning a couple decades ago
with objection to persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, the editors and
writers promote civic integrity for personal survival during declining human
opportunity with global elites thriving.
I promote Genesis 1:26-28, 5500 year-old Sumerian political philosophy, which I
paraphrase, "The God (whatever that mystery is) assigned to humankind the
responsibility to constrain chaos on earth." That is, the God neither
controls nor rejects the consequences of human choices.
Consequently, when I read far right conservatism, or the hope that the God will
usurp humankind's duty, I write opposition. And here's the reward. A few days
or weeks later, I get an email alerting me to commentary on my suggestions. I
can then return to the article and respond.
Are there other public forums that are that reliable to responsible speech? I'd
like to know about them.

Comic criticism is easy. However, what the people need is
civic integrity. Neither Gods nor nations nor churches nor political groups offer
civic integrity.
In each generation, a few people have connected Jesus with civic integrity, but
the power of churches maintain the babel of competitive monotheism. The
consequence is the chaos this comic describes.
Relief exists and reform is possible if the intentions can be established. To
get started, read both https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yeshua and
https://pace.coe.int/en/files/10684/. Let your curiosity take you beyond.
If you like, start exploring ideas Yeshua shared in direct dialogue with
contemporaries including rabbis and Romans, paying less attention to opinion
about Yeshua and claims to Old Testament prophesies. Again, rely on yourself.
If you begin to perceive Yeshua as an influence to the good, share your
considerations with fellow citizens in order to establish collaborative
concern, then listen to them to gain new perspective. Change your application
of Yeshua's civic influence if you think the fellow citizen's view was to the
good.
I think Yeshua's civic influence is quick and easy, because fellow citizens
want the good of civic integrity.

The churches I've attended always had members who said they
are a community of sinners or own free will rather than respond to physics and
progeny -- not where I want to be. For 7 decades I looked for a church who
would claim Jesus is alive because they mirror his civic integrity.
Now, I am sharing my dream with a church, who helped me during the last couple
years to discover the influencer to the good rather than to sin: Yeshua.
Almost a year ago, I started reading the Complete Jewish Bible (1998) in
parallel with NIV (1978). Now, I open NIV only as needed for name differences or
textual interpretations.
In interpretation, I feel CJB aids clarity; that could be my bias. CJB more
clearly witnesses to the Aramaic-speaking Nazarene, Yeshua, who 2000 years ago,
pursuing the good, improved Moses' law. NIV affirms Yeshua's Aramaic words in
Mark 5:41 and elsewhere.
Approaching age 81, I accept the mystery of the God, without objection or
imposition, in order to pursue with willing citizens Yeshua's civic influence.
We collaborate for understanding, in order to help each other perceive the good
Yeshua promotes, even though the ancient reporters may have had other agenda.
(For example, some writers bemuse that sin is forgiven to those who are elected
by the Bible's God.)
We don't wonder if anyone is a sinner, expecting Yeshua's civic influence to
effect needed reform.
If in future we encounter offense, we will apply Yeshua's process for conflict
resolution. With typical brevity, it is presented in Matthew 18:15-18. We think
it is to humankind rather than to a group. Resolution leads to either mutual
forgiveness or separation from a villain.
There, the clearest civic integrity is in Verse 18, which I paraphrase: if
instead of promoting the good you accommodate dissidence, rebellion, or
villainy, the God accepts your choice and does not limit the consequences.
Matthew 18:18 reflects both Genesis 1:26-28 (CJB or NIV), and the religion-free
1787 United States Constitution.

For about a year now, I've been reading the Complete Jewish
Bible (CJB), 1998, written for Jews who believe Yeshua was the Messiah and some
that moral law must be continuously observed and improved in Yeshua's image.
Here's the same passage in CJB: "While all the people were being immersed,
Yeshua too was immersed. As he was praying, heaven was opened; the Ruach
HaKodesh came down on him in physical form like a dove; and a voice came from
heaven, “You are my Son, whom I love; I am well pleased with you.”
Yeshua was a Jew, born to a Jewish family in Nazareth. They spoke Aramaic. In
Mark 5:41, Aramaic is quoted. For example, NIV, "He took her by the hand
and said to her, “Talitha koum!” (which means “Little girl, I say to you, get
up!”)."
Check https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yeshua and let your curiosity satisfy
itself. I am glad, approaching my 81st birthday to have discovered the person
whose guidance is reflected in my better choices in life.
Other civic peoples' spiritual beliefs for them are OK to me for them, as
always. As for me, I accept the God mystery and trust-in and commit-to Yeshua's
civic influence.
Response:
Cleve, as always, I do not know the ineluctable truth.
However, I want to collaboratively benefit from global scholarship. Please read
or scan https://pace.coe.int/en/files/10684/html.
I work to restore United States independence proposed in 1787 rather than
English-influenced inalienable rights of 1776. No government can assure much
less ensure life, or liberty, or happiness -- any one of the 3
"rights". (John Locke had "property" where
"happiness" is cited.) Nor does the God assure rights.
Furthermore, I trust that the entity that has influenced my choices to the good
accepts and knows my choice to appreciate Yeshua's civic influence: I neither
could nor would deny where my experiences and observations have brought me at
age 81. I am just glad my church of 45 interrupted years (unintentionally)
helped me discover Yeshua.

It seems the left claims reasonable right to continuous
violence.
May 2 response:
The right did everything they could under the rule of law to
have the National Guard there on January 6, 2021. Control was not the left's
agenda.
Unfortunately, the left leads both Democrats and democracy against the United
States republic. It is not too late for civic citizens to restore the United
States to its intentions: pursuing the ineluctable truth using statutory
justice "to ourselves and our Posterity".
Ponder the 5500 year old political philosophy expressed in Genesis 1:26-28.
Sumerians realized that the gods accept the choices men and women take. That
is, the heavens accept whatever actions men and women choose, good or bad.
Citizens who want the good must both constrain for reform fellow citizens who
accommodate the bad and terminate the evil. The far right, with no humility to
the God of Genesis 1:26-28, hopes their god will intervene. The far left, also
with no regard for the evidence, wants government to usurp the civic citizens'
duty.
The civic faction, We the People of the United States, may and can accept the
power and authority to them that is suggested in Genesis 1:26-28, a pre-Israel,
pre-Christianity political principle that is affirmed by history.
Recognition and acceptance of Genesis 1:26-28 could and might establish reform
that can be effected in 1 or 2 generations. Lacking the ancient intentions,
some 275 generations have neglected humankind's opportunity on earth.

5500 years ago Sumerians accepted that their gods were
leaving rule to the good on earth to the people. They created law codes that
encouraged civic people to constrain dissidents and rebels and annihilate
villains. 1500 years later, this political philosophy was recorded in Genesis
1:26-28 then refuted in Genesis 2 and beyond to the complete Bible. Some modern
people choose to destroy the good rather than reform. Just now, there's chaos.
It's not too late for each person to choose to constrain the bad and aid the
good to themselves and their posterity. Factions of successive generations have
been choosing the good for 5500 years. There will always be villains.
Dissidents and rebels don't have to choose the bad.

I've always worked to understand. Reading the Complete
Jewish Bible (1998) for about a year now, I think Yosef and Miryam called their
precocious boy "Yeshua". Wikipedia scholars agree family called him
Yeshua. I now perceive that unless I ponder Yeshua's statements to people in
his time and discuss with colleagues I have no chance to understand and pursue
the good he influences in our time. I trust neither the writers who reported on
that family in Nazareth 2000 years ago nor subsequent interpreters. I want my
best opportunity to use the Nazarene's name. I study the Jesus and the Christ
competitions and trust-in and commit-to Yeshua's civic influence. He knows my
reaction to his message: I may and can choose to behave perfectly until I die. I
need not be a sinner (someone who accepts mistakes).

Popular TV seems to represent
a world in chaos.
I think poets have not yet
discovered Yeshua, the man who 2000 years ago inspired humankind to perfect
behavior despite bad attractions in life. The son of Yosef and Miryam of
Nazareth was executed yet survives Christ, the Pauline myth.
It is not too late for
Yeshua’s influence to civic people.

I happily discovered the Complete Jewish Bible (1998) and
have been reading it for less than a year.
Scholars agree "Jesus" spoke Aramaic and was called Yeshua.
Yeshua of Nazareth lives when people pursue and improve-to-modern-discovery
Yeshua's civic influence to each generation and posterity. Because religious
opinion* is imposed, neither Jesus nor Christ represents the person who lived
in Nazareth 2000 years ago with his family -- mom and dad, 3 brothers, and
unnamed sisters. To discover his influence rather than subsequent impositions,
the name is Yeshua.
*Religion is civility grounded in mystery rather than in discovery.

I'm glad to see this question. I am on a "14:10"
fast and don't plan to change unless I perceive harm. So far, I perceive only
good. I don't eat past 8:00 PM and before 10 to11 AM, resulting in 2 meals a

2:00 PM; but 7:00 AM works when it's hot.

Sharing joy: I found that quick conversations with
willing-strangers teaches plenty. There's no expectation -- only cheerful
sharing. Usually, we don't even exchange names.
For example, yesterday I asked a sonogram technician if I could quickly share a
recent joy.
"OK".
It's about the Bible.
"OK".
Have you ever heard of Yeshua?
"Yes; my spouse has a different Christian religion. I started studying
independently, and discovered Yeshua."
Wow! Does anyone share your interest?
"I'm in a discussion group at my church."
I learned a church to consider if I get discouraged, which I doubt will happen.
People in my Sunday school class don't respond when I talk about Yeshua and
reading the Complete Jewish Bible (1998) online. But they don't call me a
heretic, since I am only a friend. I think Yeshua is just too new to them and
they are busy living. It's OK.

Why do fellow citizens accommodate the recent United States
government? Where is the civic faction of We the People of the United States? I
feel I am a member who knows many civic citizens such as you.
I voted for Trump 4 times, not because I like him, but because I like his
policies and leadership. I am thrilled by his inaugural speech and his daily
follow-up. I am reluctant to hold him responsible for the people who claim to
support his policy. I never voted for Obama, but did all I could to aid his governance
once the voters elected him. Not Biden, who I deemed an alien from the start. I
cannot deny I paid my taxes all this time.
I understand that a person acts as a child/adolescent until they discover the
delight of adulthood. But once they discover reliable responsibility, there's
no going back to before. Are there no adults who are capable of helping
themselves through Trump?
Are there too few adult-voters in the United States to stop the dismantling of
its representative-republic-under-the-rule-of-written-law that is previously
authorized by civic citizens who have the power to correct discovered unjust
laws unto justice?
Either way, my life is dedicated to saving my posterity from the extant United
States government. I appreciate your alerts to the necessity of awakening to
the rule of statutory justice -- the intentions of the United States
Constitution.

Thank you for this message.
The civic faction, We the People of the United States, may and can reform every
education department so as to practice, facilitate, and encourage pursuit of
human being (verb) to every student and adult. The human being accepts
responsibility to reliably constrain chaos in her or his way of living.
The human-being is so powerful and authoritative that takes a quarter century
for a newborn to acquire the comprehension and intention to pursue human being.
It takes another couple quarter centuries for her or him to acquire the
perception that they may and can perfect their unique person. We the People of
the United States may and can facilitate this teaching, if we intend to.
In necessity, persons whose practices persuade them they are approaching perfection
happily provide for another to pursue that perception.

I have been trying to unravel the puzzle for 70 years and
think I have the answer: Since the Sumer civilization, elite politicians and
priests partner to keep humankind from mutually accepting the individual power
and authority of human being (verb). It is suggested in both Genesis 1:26-28,
perhaps 3700 years old, and the laws of physics and progeny: only humankind may
choose to rule to the good on earth. Progeny includes mathematics, the
chemistries, biology, psychology, and fiction (made possible by the unknowns).
Discovery yields the ineluctable truth, and the elites "protect"
humankind from the word "ineluctable", which means, collectively,
unavoidable, unchangeable, and irresistible. Discovery is grounded in
ineluctable evidence, to which reason yields.
These ideas are affirmed by the God, which is whatever constrains human
choices, arguably a mystery. The God seems to be one of the laws of physics,
the good humankind may and can attain, or a force no one has thought of. I
accept the mystery of the God.
And here is the boldest obfuscation of the past 5500 years. One man, 2000 years
ago, was a good student and recognized the power and authority of human being
(verb). His mom and dad spoke Aramaic and called him Yeshua. I recently discovered
the Complete Jewish Bible (1998) and understand Yeshua's messages, I think
because I am using his name to help me think. [Read
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yeshua and let curiosity guide further reading.]
This discovery has had huge impact on my life, I think to the good.
The religion-free 1787 United States Constitution accommodates both Genesis
1:26-28 and Yeshua's civic influence. "Civic" means reliable
responsibility to constrain the bad and aid the good in human connections and
transactions.
The civic faction of We the People of the United States may and can reform
state and church simultaneously. If so, the threat of social democracy will
yield to the United States republic (reviving the Declaration of Independence
from European religious-wars).
Phil Beaver does not “know.”
He trusts in and
is committed to theineluctabletruth, which can only be
discovered. Conventional wisdom has truth founded on reason, but it obviously
does not work.
