Phil Beaver works to establish opinion when the-objective-truth has not been discovered. He seeks to refine his opinion by listening when people share experiences and observations. The comment box below invites readers to write.
Note 1:  I often dash words in phrases in order to express and preserve an idea. For example, frank-objectivity represents the idea of candidly expressing the-objective-truth despite possible error. In other words, a person expresses his “belief,” knowing he or she could be in error. People may collaboratively approach the-objective-truth.

Note 2: It is important to note "civic" refers to citizens who collaborate for the people more than for the city.

A personal paraphrase of the preamble by & for Phil Beaver:  Willing people in our state routinely, voluntarily collaborate for comprehensive safety and security: continuity (for self, children, grandchildren & beyond), integrity (both fidelity and wholeness),  justice (freedom-from oppression), defense (prevent or constrain harm), prosperity (acquire the liberty-to pursue choices), privacy (responsibly discover & pursue personal goals), lawfulness (obey the law and reform injustices); and to preserve and cultivate the rule of law for the USA’s service to the people in their states.

Composing their own paraphrase, citizens may consider the actual preamble and perceive whether they are willing or dissident toward the preamble.

Our Views (theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/opinion/our_views/article_60795a96-8819-11e7-8617-137475474d4f.html)

Gov. Edwards, after embarrassing the Louisiana delegation in Washington this winter, “is still trying to get more federal dollars to help recover from a massive flood last summer that ravaged the Baton Rouge area. A nationally publicized scandal about the recent pump failures in New Orleans — and the management failures of those charged with keeping them running — won't boost Louisiana's image on Capitol Hill as it makes the case for additional help.“

Today’s thought, G.E. Dean (Malachi 3:10, CJB)
“Bring the whole tenth into the storehouse, so that there will be food in my house, and put me to the test," says ADONAI-Tzva'ot. "See if I won't open for you the floodgates of heaven and pour out for you a blessing far beyond your needs.”

Dean says “We can’t out give the Lord.”

I don’t think the Lord needs money, and I haven’t seen any churches filling pot holes or unplugging drains, a couple needs. I don’t trust Dean.

Letters

Cut spending (Gardes) (theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/opinion/letters/article_6e9a424a-842f-11e7-984a-47a377100de7.html)

Gov. Edwards gutting the committee’s work with his sales tax on steroids idea just before the 2017 special session opened. With him in office, the can will keep being kicked. I do not want any more taxes. The spenders are out of control.

Columns

Charlottesville hustlers (Walter Williams) (townhall.com/columnists/walterewilliams/2017/08/23/charlottesville-donnybrook-n2371271)

Here at last are the indictments that are plain. Charlottesville and the State of Virginia orchestrated an event for the collectivist-democrats who want to destroy the American republic. I hope federal authorities prove Williams case and prosecute both the Mayor and the Governor.

Since Williams is an economist and a writer, I nominate him as a surrogate journalist. Otherwise, I do not know of a journalist in the USA.

Vicksburg (McDade) ()

I agree. Any monuments LA does not want, give them to Vicksburg battlefield if they want them.

Phil Beaver does not “know” the-indisputable-facts. He trusts and is committed to the-objective-truth of which most is undiscovered and some is understood. He is agent for A Civic People of the United States, a Louisiana, education non-profit corporation. See online at promotethepreamble.blogspot.com.
