Personal-chaos: a choice

Phil Beaver seeks to collaborate on the-objective-truth, which can only be discovered. The comment box below invites readers to write.

"Civic" refers to citizens who collaborate for individual happiness with civic integrity more than for the city, state, nation, or society.

Consider writing a personal paraphrase of the preamble, which offers fellow citizens mutual appreciation:  For discussion, I convert the preamble’s predicate phrases to nouns and paraphrase it for my interpretation of its proposal as follows We the People of the United States proffer & practice 5 public disciplines —- integrity, justice, peace, strength, and prosperity, “in order to” encourage & facilitate responsible-human-independence “to ourselves and our Posterity”. I want to improve my interpretation by listening to other citizens and their interpretations yet would preserve the original, 1787, text, unless it is amended by the people.

It seems the Supreme Court occasionally refers to it, and no one has challenged whether or not the preamble is a legal statement. The fact that it changed this independent country from a confederation of states to a union of states deliberately managed by disciplined fellow citizens convinces me the preamble is legal. Equity in opportunity and outcome is shared by the people who collaborate for human justice.

Every citizen has equal opportunity to either trust-in and collaborate-on the goals stated in the preamble or be dissident to the agreement. I think 2/3 of citizens try somewhat to use the preamble but many do not articulate commitment to the goals. However, it seems less than 2/3 understand that “posterity” implies grandchildren. “Freedom of religion,” which fellow citizens have no means to discipline, oppresses freedom to develop integrity.

Selected theme from this week

Personal-chaos: a choice

The suggestion that the human-being can& may choose responsible-human-independence is recorded in two documents: artistically in Genesis 1:28 and abstractly in the 1787 U.S. Constitution.

Individuals in 2021 are asking what can be done, and this week, some proposals are offered.

Law prof suggests rewrites of First and Second Amendments that do not mention free press or bearing arms (msn.com)  (Be woke-to hold ineffectual the adolescent law professors)

To Donald Adams with thanks to Joseph Doherty

The First Amendment can& may protect civic-integrity rather than spiritualism/metaphysics. It’s up to us, the people of 2021. The 2nd Amendment was updated by Heller.

I have been writing proposals to amend the First Amendment since the late nineties. In 2021, I own a personal interpretation of the preamble which clarifies that the preamble does not include spiritualism in its 5 domestic disciplines: Union, Justice, Tranquility, defense, and Welfare (I prefer integrity, justice, peace, strength, and prosperity, respectively). I speculate that the 55 framers created the perception that spiritualism is neither a civic issue nor a civil demand and therefore must be assigned to privacy.

Only the 5-membered committee of style was privy to the debate that revised the draft preamble from a simple presentation of the Constitution to include a statement of intentions. Thus, even the 39 signers (thank you all) had not discussed the U.S. purpose. We, the "ourselves and our Posterity" of 2021 can& may establish responsible-human-independence rather than Anglo-American tradition, at last.

The foremost needed action is to amend the First Amendment so the-good people of the U.S. practice, facilitate,& encourage 1) civic-integrity rather than spirituality/metaphysics, 2) speech/assembly that neither initiates nor accommodates harm/injury to/from any person, 3) and commercially-journaling pursuit of the-ineluctable-truth. (Scholars hide "ineluctable", first published in 1571, which means "not to be avoided, changed, or resisted", merriam-webster. com).

The Anglo-American dominance of 1788 imposed the 1791 mimic of England's 1689 Bill of Rights, and amendments to assure conformity to the U.S. preamble's intentions are needed. That's a topic for another day.

Quora

quora.com/Can-determination-responsibility-and-respect-be-taught? by Emily Burns

I think so, but not by the existing Education Departments. Several acceptances& reforms must take place, so as to induce individual responsible-human-independence (RHI) among at least two thirds of adolescents& adults.

About 5,500 years ago, a culture, perhaps in Mesopotamia, expressed the political suggestion that humankind can& may independently provide order& prosperity to the lesser species and to Earth. Then about 4,200 years ago the Code of Ur-Nammu, in Sumerian cuneiform, listed punishment& fines in law enforcement. That is to say, Sumerians accepted that the-good citizens must work not only to earn their way of living but must independently pay for law enforcement& justice-development to reform/terminate fellow citizen who could but wouldn’t voluntarily constrain civic-chaos.

Tribes began to construct doctrinal-Gods to empower the-good --- usurp RHI. Tribal wars increased chaos on Earth rather than increasing peace under the 5,500 year-old suggestion. In 2021, humankind experiences& observes the potential for chaos diverging unto ruin.

The good-people must reform Education Departments from “training the workers we need” to practicing, facilitating, and encouraging the civic-integrity that is required for individual RHI. That is, they must motivate children to choose human-being rather than an opposite: passive, vegetable, animal, evil, or spirit.

The human-being is so individually powerful, energetic, authoritative, and obligated-to-self (HIPEAO) that it takes a quarter-century with exemplary facilitation& encouragement to consider& choose the work to acquire comprehension& intention to live a complete human lifetime. By complete, I mean achieving the RHI-perfection of her/his unique-person, before afterdeath, that vast time after body, mind, and person stop functioning.

No culture on earth has Education Departments with these intentions. However, the suggestion is recorded in two documents: artistically in Genesis 1:28 and abstractly in the 1787 U.S. Constitution.

Every considerate-citizen could& should own a personal interpretation of the purpose-sentence in the U.S. Constitution. My view, just now, follows:  We, the-good-citizens of We the People of the United States practice, facilitate,& encourage 5 domestic disciplines --- integrity, justice, peace, strength, and prosperity, "in order to” establish& maintain responsible-human-independence (RHI) “to ourselves and our Posterity”, including legal immigrants. Notice that the preamble does not include spiritualism/religion in the disciplines, and I appreciate independence rather than “liberty”.

What each person needs is appreciation-for the opportunity and determination-to develop as a human-being.

quora.com/Are-people-usually-in-denial-of-the-facts-to-mitigate-or-circumvent-their-responsibility? by Dillon Lowe

At first, I was stumped by “usually”.

However, necessity& justice demand that every person constrain chaos in their way of living. If two-thirds of fellow citizens practiced civic-integrity, there could be peace on Earth.

After 5,500 years’ grammar, humankind is travelling in space and groveling in adult-banal-satisfaction.

quora.com/What-does-the-Bible-mean-by-Gods-chosen-people-Israelites? by Mark Shulmann

Of course, no one knows the-ineluctable-truth, and “scholars” have “protected” humankind from the word “ineluctable”, meaning “not to be avoided, changed, or resisted” (merriam-webster.com opinion).

In 2021, fellow-citizens can& may apply what humankind has discovered so far. For example, we know that by physics& its-progeny we are exploring the former “heavens”, using jet propulsion to attain orbit and maneuver vehicles there.

Also, we comprehend that our mutation, homo sapiens, is about 300,000 years old. HS developed both grammar and the transition to monotheism about 6,000 years ago.

About 5,500 years ago, a polytheistic culture, perhaps Sumer, suggested the political philosophy, paraphrasing to 2021 comprehension: the species female&male-human-being can& may independently provide order& prosperity to the lesser species and to Earth. Individually& collectively, the human-being could . . . should constrain chaos in their way of living. About 2,500 years later, Hebrew scholars journaled the philosophy in their art. Fog over the water was the spirit of God, and God as “we” created female& male in his image and assigned to them sole responsibility for peace on Earth. Study Genesis 1:28 to consider my view: female& male may practice civic-integrity.

Nobody knows why the Hebrew scholars started the Bible with the ancient political philosophy; I think it was a mistake to their intentions. In Genesis 2, they introduced “the Lord God” in competition with the-God of Genesis 1. Eve, rather than created in the image of the “we” God, was taken from Adam’s rib. And instead of having the image of the-God, Eve was gullible to a lesser species and betrayed Adam. Later, at Sarah’s behest, Abraham did a ménage a trois with Hagar, and created sons to beget enemies unto divergent chaos. The rest of the Bible journals female& male infidelity in competition to persuade the Lord God to usurp the Sumerian suggestion: responsible-human-independence (RHI) can provide peace on earth if female& male adopt the intention.

At some point, a messiah would make Israel rulers of humankind --- chaos enough to gentiles. However, a Hebrew-faction opined Jesus the messiah, greatly increasing spiritual chaos. Some gentiles created Christianity. By 400 AD there were many Christian orthodoxies. Then in 1537 Luther unleashed Protestantism, and today there are over 45,000 Christian sects.

Tragically, this review touches only 4.3 billion competitive believers, leaving 3.6 billion global-citizens subject to the civic chaos derived from Bible-spiritualties. I think, it is past time for Bible believers to take stock of Genesis 1:28’s RHI. Knowledge of the scholar’s forbidden word, ineluctable, might aid civic motivation to put spiritual pursuits in their rightful place: privacy, with humility toward the source of Genesis 1:28.

Armed with Genesis 1’s suggestion that humankind is solely responsible for peace on Earth Bible-derived civic-integrity could lead the world to domestic peace, preserving to the individual the opportunity to survive and pursue the spiritual happiness they desire rather than suffer in 2021’s diverging civic-chaos.

Can& may reflects choice. Why not peace at last?

quora.com/Do-you-believe-in-freedom-Why-What-do-you-think-about-freedom? by Esraa Ismail

I think freedom is a false human construct that pretends life without yielding to the constraints of physics& its progeny. To promote freedom, scholars obfuscate “ineluctable”, which means “not to be avoided, changed, or resisted”, merriam-webster.com.

In John Locke’s “natural law theory” each human being is a property of what I call “Locke-God” and as such is due life, liberty, and property. The 1774 USA founders were more spiritually humble so changed “property” to “the pursuit of happiness”.

These developments were influenced by “the Enlightenment” arguments over secularism vs spiritualism; physics vs metaphysics; Catholicism vs Protestantism, not to mention Judaism, Islam, and Eastern religions and philosophies. The 1787 framers, accepting the world’s most diverse population, wrote a constitution grounded in domestic discipline. They assigned spiritualism to privacy, if pursued.

The intentions to domestic discipline are stated in the conditional portion of the 2-sentence preamble to the U.S. Constitution. In my December 2021 view, the intentions are:  The-good of We the People of the United States, practice, facilitate, and encourage 5 domestic disciplines --- integrity, justice, peace, strength, and prosperity, “in order to” establish& maintain responsible-human-independence (RHI) “to ourselves and our Posterity” including legal immigrants. These 38 words propose a culture’s continuous journey to perfection in necessity& justice only posterity’s posterity might imagine.

It seems a novel proposal for peace in the U.S. that might influence peace in the world. In other words, if two-thirds of fellow-citizens in the U.S. chose to live according to the preamble, the civic-citizens would dominate so as to gradually reduce living in a dependency.

However, human-discipline  is not at all novel, as the political suggestion was expressed 5,500 years ago then artfully reported 3,000 years ago in Genesis 1. In my December 2021 view, Genesis 1:28 suggests: female& male-human-being can& may independently provide order& and prosperity to the lesser species and to the earth.

To obtain the fruits of the Genesis-1 suggestion, the human-being must appreciate fellow human-beings, collaborate to discover physics& its-progeny, and civically benefit from the discovery. Choosing to avoid, change, or resist the necessity& justice suggested in Genesis-1 leaves the person without freedom from ruin.

Freedom from physics is impossible, and responsible-human-independence (RHI) accommodates life. Government’s function is to practice, facilitate, and encourage RHI rather than bestow freedom and license liberty.

quora.com/unanswered/Which-human-rights-are-overlooked-but-are-important? by Christian Mora

It takes a quarter century for a feral human-infant to transition to young human-being with comprehension& intention to practice, facilitate& encourage the humble-integrity that is required for responsible-human-independence.

The opportunity to discover& pursue humble-integrity for life is the-human-right.

quora.com/How-do-human-rights-lead-to-indispline? by James Mwansa

Mr. Mwansa, I am grateful for your creative, brief expression concerning a constructed conundrum, and say so in “appreciations” posted at promotethepreamble.blogspot.com.

People who scream about “rights” are vainly trying to convince themselves to accept personal-living without responsible-human-independence (RHI) and persuade civic-fellow-citizens to accommodate dependency. In necessity& justice, humankind cannot accommodate the imposition.

Merriam-webster.com opines that “indiscipline” (noun) means “lack of discipline”. That empty definition can be improved by considering the synonyms and antonyms. Also, consider “discipline” (noun), the last of 3 applications: “the checking of one's true feelings and impulses when dealing with others”. That’s not to slight the first usage: “a region of activity, knowledge, or influence”, because either accepting RHI/not impacts personal-life outcome.

Reading Wikipedia (with the caution that it’s drift seems left-leaning), the article at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_rights is informative. “The precise meaning of the term right is controversial and is the subject of continued philosophical debate . . . some thinkers suggest that human rights should be a minimum requirement to avoid the worst-case abuses, while others see it as a higher standard.” I’m pleased that the article includes “The true forerunner of human rights discourse was the concept of natural rights which appeared as part of the medieval natural law tradition that became prominent during the European Enlightenment with such philosophers as John Locke . . .” I will offer a wiki revision to point out that Locke boasted that each human-being is the property of what I’ll call “Locke-God”, and therefore no person is to be lessened by other people (properties) or self.

The notion of government owing English “rights” in the USA was contested by both the 1774 USA founders and the 1787 U.S. framers. Only 5 days before the 39 of 55 delegates signed the 1787 U.S. Constitution, the 5-person Committee of Style added intentions to the presentation of the laws to “the-good People” of the USA.

The U.S. citizen who perceives sympathy/empathy for anyone who demands “rights” has not come to grips with what it means to be one of the-good among We the People of the United States. The-good citizen appreciates a fellow-citizen enough to clearly, kindly rebuke them when they offend, confirm that the accused received the rebuke, grant time for them to consider the rebuke& evaluate the incident. The appreciative-accused may rebut the rebuke if necessary or accept responsibility if the accusation is ineluctably-true, repent& apologize, and appreciate forgiveness. The accuser forgave the moment the accused showed appreciation-for attention-to-the-incident and if presented with ineluctable necessity& justice to recant, perhaps personally-reform, does so. “Ineluctable” means “not to be avoided, changed, or resisted” merriam-webster.com. Responsible fellow-citizens stand ready to repeat the appreciation-cycle-of-rebuke as often as needed, always collaborating for civic-integrity.

Such principles emerged not only from the domestic 1787 U.S. Constitution and the 1776 declaration of war against England, but from a 5,500 year-old Sumerian political philosophy artistically recorded in Genesis-1. In my 2021 view:  Necessity& justice inform female&male-human-being that they can& may independently provide order& prosperity to the lesser species and to the earth.

Every human-being can& may choose to practice civic-integrity rather than demand “rights” to be provided by fellow-citizens who practice, facilitate, and encourage RHI and will not accommodate fellow-citizens’ intentions to dependency.

In other words, peace on earth is an individual-human-responsibility& appreciative-obligation, not a right.

quora.com/Does-every-individual-have-the-responsibility-to-act-in-a-manner-that-is-beneficial-to-society-and-not-solely-to-the-individual? by Justine Reyes

As personal chronology demands the human-being to develop self, necessity& justice make it plain that he/she may take charge of constraining chaos in their way of living. In other words, responsible-human-independence (RHI) is in the individual’s self-interest.

We have evidence that this principle was expressed in a Mesopotamian culture nearly 6,000 years ago, perhaps in the polytheistic Sumer, some 5,500 years ago. However, 2,500 years later, Hebrew scholars reported the suggestion as a demand of “the Creator” or “God”. “We” created “male& female” in “his” image. That’s in Genesis 1. However, in Genesis 2, Hebrew scholars expressed “the Lord God” as taking woman from man’s rib, refuting the Genesis 1 “we” create male and female in “his image”. Further the scholars have Eve betray Adam, initiating a trend in Bible stories thereafter. Thus, the scholar attempt to establish Genesis 2 “the Lord God” in a hierarchy superior to the-God.

The rest of the Bible is a journal of the expanding competition for a higher power that will usurp the female& male-human-being RHI to the living species and to the world, and the consequences of individual choices to foster banal appetites that lead to ruin rather than peace on Earth.

Every person has the opportunity to accept the obvious: constraining chaos in your-chosen way-of-living is in your personal best-interest, and society is the incidental beneficiary of the individual’s civic-integrity. And we, the 2021 “ourselves and our Posterity” are without excuse for accommodating Judeo-Christian chaos in the pride of the First Amendment’s freedom of religion to Congress rather than practice, facilitation, and encouragement to domestic civic-integrity.

The U.S. and the world suffer divergent chaos as a consequence of 5,500 years’ competitive quest to find a personal-God that will overturn the-God in favor of “my tribe”.

Of course, I don’t claim to know the-ineluctable-truth, so only write my opinion. I’m just glad to know “ineluctable”, which means “not to be avoided, changed, or resisted”, merriam-webster. com. And we can& may amend the First Amendment for civic-integrity.

Law professors

lawliberty.org/melville-thoughts-on-liberty/

English Professor John E. Alvis reminds me that just when you think you have a novel thought you happily discover someone already published parallel thinking. I’m sincere in “happily”, because the discovery affirms your line of thought.

Recently, I have written in various forums that the only valid human-right I can imagine it the opportunity to develop the civic-integrity required for responsible-human-independence (RHI). I assert that this public discipline is expressed for the USA in the preamble to the U.S. Constitution. Alvis, erroneously I think, reaches back to the 1776 declaration of war for independence from England and forward to Abraham Lincoln’s unfortunate use of the declaration to supersede the Constitution, but otherwise parallels some of my arguments.

Quoting Alvis, “. . . political liberty for slaves and for non-slaves alike is at stake in America’s Civil War . . . inconsistency in respect of national first principles . . . ‘all men are created equal’.” I contend that the declaration of war negated superiority of each kings over individuals and Parliament over Congress. Also, reference to Nature’s God and “pursuit of Happiness” rebuked Locke-God’s property-ownership of human-beings. Nonetheless, the 1787 Constitution benefited from the national pressure to provide for emancipation of the slaves, and the framers paved the way, as Frederick Douglas said in his 1852, “4th of July” speech in Rochester.

Again, “. . . a central character who seeks to assert a freedom he conceives as independence . . . the pursuit of freedom must be so conducted as to acknowledge and observe cognate responsibilities . . . a liberty to discharge duties is the most valuable of freedoms . . . man’s freedom is his greatest instrumental good because whether exercised for good or for ill, it is the faculty which distinguishes human beings from the lower animals . . . the American Constitution provides best ground for cultivating self-mastery.” In other words, Abraham Lincoln’s revisionist history is not worthy: the declaration of war led to the U.S. opportunity to devise a republic founded on domestic discipline, and the framers go the job done.

What’s wonderful about Professor Alvis’s commentary on Melville’s legacy is that, ignoring Lincoln’s unfortunate bemusement, they affirm the 5,500 year old political philosophy that is expressed, in light of humankind’s discoveries since then, that humankind can& may independently provide order& prosperity on Earth. The philosophy is expressed, in 3,000 year-old local-scholarship in Genesis 1:28 and affirmed in the 1787 U.S. Constitution.

Necessity& justice demand that every person constrain chaos in their way of living. If two-thirds of fellow citizens practiced civic-integrity, there could be peace on Earth.

After 6,000 years’ grammar, 300,000 year-old homo sapiens is travelling in space and groveling in adult-banal-satisfaction.

In 2020, the living "ourselves and our Posterity" can& may stop the divergent chaos.

facebook.com/phil.beaver.52, 12/24/2021

Please remember to look up "ineluctable", first published in English in 1571. It means "not to be avoided, changed, or resisted" (the merriam-webster.com opinion).

Ineluctable was published with "truth" and "the . . . truth" in 1906. I like to use hyphens to invite the reader not to disassemble the phrase, the-ineluctable-truth. (Thank you, Harold Weingarten, in a 2006 forum.)

Influential law professors and Justices "protect" us from this knowledge so as to preserve their "wisdom" in developing the-rule-of-law according to legal-precedent rather than the-ineluctable-truth. Beware “original meaning”.

By virally sharing this 2021 knowledge, we, "the-good People" among We the People of the United States can& may, in 2022, initiate civic-integrity in the USA; that is, chosen, individual& collaborative responsible-human-independence rather than continually-bemusing-government bestowed-freedom and licensed-liberty.

As we go forward, ask everyone you appreciate if they know “ineluctable” (perhaps anyone who offers "hello"). If “Yes”, ask what it means to future human-appreciation. If they don’t mention “the-ineluctable-truth” share that it is not to be avoided, changed, or resisted. Add your improvement to my opinion that our government is in divergent chaos after 234 years’ neglect of the “ineluctable”.

facebook.com/sherri.joubert, 12/24/2021

Happy birthday, Sherri

Here's a powerful word the scholars have "protected" us from knowing: ineluctable. It means, "not to be avoided, changed, or resisted", merriam-webster.com.

It was first published in 1571 in translation to English. In 1906, it was published in the phrases "ineluctable truth" and "the ineluctable truth". I discovered these facts after asking, has my development "the-ineluctable-truth" (thanks to Harold Weingarten, PhD, Chemist, recently moved from BR to California) been published before? The hyphens invite the reader to not disassemble the phrase.

In the future, if I am to witness to something in court and am presented an oath, I will pose 1 or 2 questions. Certainly, I will ask what "truth" I am being asked to represent. After the response, I will make the statement that I will answer "I don't know", when that is so, and to "The-ineluctable-truth" in case I know it; for example, my name is Phil.

I suspect law professors influence "scholars" to "shield" us from the-ineluctable-truth so that they can manipulate political power by keeping us bemused with "legal precedent". The scholars perceive preservation of high salaries by nurturing the bemusement indefinitely, all with immunity because it is traditional. We are now living the consequence: divergent chaos in the USA.

Thank you for the Higgs b post. The-metaphysical-Jesus is to human-appreciation what the Higgs boson is to force-resistance. The human-being appreciates fellow-citizens, in-order-to practice, facilitate, and encourage the-good. We fellow-citizens appreciate Sherri Joubert.

facebook.com/phil.beaver.52, 12/22/2021

Belief in freedom prevents responsible-human-independence, first privately then collectively.

facebook.com/phil.beaver.52, 122121 (A 2022 view of the “Golden Rule”?)

The appreciative caution/rebuke cycle: a 2021 view of "the Golden Rule"?

Practicing Leviticus 19:17-18, "[Caution] your neighbor frankly [in-order-to appreciate him/her] as yourself." Conversely, upon receiving rebuke/caution, appreciate the opportunity to discover/approach the-ineluctable-truth according-to necessity& justice.

In a civic-culture, the cycle of mutual appreciation --- speaker perceive harm/injury & caution/rebuke; listener consider & respond/reform; speaker forgive/respond, is repeated as often as harm/injury is observed.

The person who tries to avoid, change, or resist caution/rebuke, invites woe.

I don't like being instructed to "rebuke" my neighbor, yet I think communication is essential to fulfilling our obligation to provide peace on Earth.

Friends, please suggest improvement.
