Phil Beaver seeks to collaborate on the-objective-truth, which can only be discovered. The comment box below invites readers to write.
"Civic"
refers to citizens who collaborate for individual
happiness with civic integrity more than for the city, state, nation, or
society.
Consider writing a personal
paraphrase of the preamble, which offers fellow citizens mutual appreciation: For discussion, I convert the preamble’s predicate phrases to nouns and
paraphrase it for my interpretation of its proposal as follows We the People of the United States proffer &
practice 5 public disciplines —- integrity, justice, peace, strength, and
prosperity, “in order to” encourage & facilitate
responsible-human-independence “to ourselves and our Posterity”. I want to improve my interpretation by listening to
other citizens and their interpretations yet would preserve the original, 1787,
text, unless it is amended by the people.
It seems the
Supreme Court occasionally refers to it, and no one has challenged whether or
not the preamble is a legal statement. The fact that it changed this
independent country from a confederation of states to a union of states
deliberately managed by disciplined fellow citizens convinces me the preamble is
legal. Equity in opportunity and outcome is shared by the people who
collaborate for human justice.
Every citizen
has equal opportunity to either trust-in and collaborate-on the goals stated in
the preamble or be dissident to the agreement. I think 2/3 of citizens try
somewhat to use the preamble but many do not articulate commitment to the
goals. However, it seems less than 2/3 understand that “posterity” implies
grandchildren. “Freedom of religion,” which fellow citizens have no means to
discipline, oppresses freedom to develop integrity.
Selected theme from this week
Responsible-human-independence (RHI) more than freedom
The human-being is constrained by both physics and civil
citizenship, so freedom is mere propaganda elites employ to bemuse the individual
while politicians pick peoples’ pockets with immunity.
Every person is better served by
responsible-human-independence (RHI), including personal pursuit of the
happiness they desire, whether spiritualism/religion is included or not.

quora.com/How-do-you-value-freedom-in-every-action-and-thought-Explain? by Allisia
I often choose questions that inform me and express
gratitude on the “appreciations” post at promotethepramble.blogspot.com. I
assume you refer to action and thought by me, rather than by others.
Let me consider merriam-webster. com’s opinion about “freedom”. It is, “the
power to do what you want to do”.
I comprehend “[political] power”. I’m curious about
“independence”. They opine, “freedom from outside control or support".
That affirms it’s politics.
Now I’m curious about “self-reliance”. They opine, “reliance
on one's own efforts and abilities".
Hmmm. Try “liberty”. They opine, “the state or condition of
people who are able to act and speak freely: FREEDOM.”
Maybe “happiness”. They opine, “a state of well-being and
contentment”.
Maybe “value”. They opine at the fourth usage, “something
(such as a principle or quality) intrinsically valuable or
desirable”.
Wow! I’m so stubborn I missed your point, Allisia. I think
you asked how, in word and deed, I work to preserve my freedom! Tell me if I’m
still wrong.
I value responsible independence more than
freedom.
I think “freedom” has 2 limits. First, we are constrained by
physics& its-progeny, including: mathematics, chemistry, biology,
psychology, and imagination. Briefly, the impact of physics is that we may work
for the happiness we perceive rather than choose dependency on a bureaucracy.
For example, I live near the lower Mississippi River, and our home is on ground
at 38’ above sea level. Second, we can& may act in necessity& justice.
That is, in responsible-human-independence (RHI), we can& may
neither initiate nor accommodate harm to or from any person or association. For
example, we never lie, in order to lessen human misery and loss.
During my 78th year, I purport to practice,
facilitate, and encourage RHI to “ourselves and our Posterity”
including legal immigrants.
In 2022, I continue to work, in order to maintain the way of
living I prefer. I monitor investments intended to protect us from the unknown;
maintain weight, eat nutritiously, exercise, and wear clean clothes; keep
reliable health insurance and see doctors for needed care; vacuum-clean our
home, dust, and mop; maintain the yard; add health improvements to our home;
pay taxes on time; address problems as soon as possible; read, write, talk, and
listen to improve my comprehension of achievable better living; seek and nourish
acquaintances and friendships; appreciate considerate people as they are and
where they are in their path to the person they want to be; do all I can to be
reliable in connections and transactions; provide documents to protect our
descendants; strive to earn opinion on which I can vote in self-interest; and
appreciatively caution fellow-citizens when I perceive they made or anticipate
erroneous action.
I never attempted to explain my independence values
before; if I omitted something I’d like to say, I’ll update. I did not always
have such a list, and consider it a cultural deficiency more than personal
ineptitude.
I work for an achievable better future. I think RHI
is more beneficial than freedom. I hope this helps most readers. It helped me.
Thank you Alissia.
quora.com/Conservatives-generally-assume-what-they-consider-a-realistic-view-of-human-nature-Is-this-true-or-false?
by Candicedi
At
question is the goal of conservatism, I think to preserve homo sapiens.
Conservatives I know view their intentions as practicing, facilitating, and
encouraging safety& security so that their descendants can& may earn a
better life than they spent.
Conserving
humankind involves an economic feasibility constraint: each person may enter
young adulthood with the comprehension& intention to responsibly earn the
way of living they desire. Some don’t. Some who don’t seek domestic dependency.
It’s
a case of “Don’t tread on me” when it comes to responsible happiness. The
conservative will not subjugate to another’s imposition of happiness. In other
words, dependent fellow citizens are on their own when they accept dole from
bureaucrats.
Dominance
of can& may conserve humankind waxes and wanes, depending upon global and
local circumstances.
In
the USA, English oppression of the 13 Eastern-seaboard colonies in 1763,
together with Spanish-allied French wars against England, resulted in 13 free
and independent states, ratified in 1784. On September 17, 1787, 39 of 55
framers issued the U.S. Constitution. It specifies a republic with
self-disciplined citizens controlling their state as well as the nation.
However, dominant politicians in the 1788 states
ratification conventions required a Bill of Rights mimicking the 1689 English Bill of
Rights.
The
consequence is conservation of Anglo-American traditions at the expense of
individual independence to each civic citizen – those who practice the 5
specified domestic-disciplines: integrity, justice, peace, strength, and
prosperity, in order to practice, facilitate, and encourage responsible-human-independence
(RHI) to “ourselves and our Posterity” including legal immigrants.
This
English-loyalist tyranny over U.S. independence is self-inflicted and
citizen-accommodated. The present dominance of dependent fellow-citizens, made
possible by the insurrection-minded Democrat Party, can& may yield to the
civic-citizen’s will to provide an achievable better future their dependents
can& may earn in their time.
I
think the conservative view that human nature demands civic necessity&
justice is true: the right to domestic-dependency is false.
quora.com/What-s-the-problem-with-meritocracy?
by Psychic Man
Meritocracy can& may be grounded in lessening chaos to
humankind.
Merriam-webster. com opines “meritocracy” means “a system,
organization, or society in which people are chosen and moved into positions of
success, power, and influence on the basis of their demonstrated abilities and
merit”.
Necessity& justice demand the human-being to
individually and collectively constrain chaos in living. The person whose
actions continuously lessen chaos warrants and receives appreciation.
In gratitude, fellow citizens seek the chaos-constrainer’s service. If willing
and qualified, the person ought to accept the service. The person with merit
usually agrees to serve.
A positive example of these principles is in a view of
General George Washington, who in 1783 envisioned a nation that could survive
and wrote 4 pillars for a U.S. future. See founders.archives.gov/documents/Washington/99-01-02-11404.
It seems Anthony Fauci offers a negative example. Perhaps an
excellent research director, it seems he may not be a servant of the people. I
don’t know.
I write to learn and would appreciate your comments.
What would be the
benefits caused by his recent exercises of authority as to the lasting results
of the Covid19 pandemic? Did he help maintain, or increase, public confidence
in our medical establishment? Also consider the issue of “gain of function” research. How much do you now trust the
medical establishment of this country?
Phil responds
Thank you, Mr. Smith. I read about “gain of function
research” (GFR) and see that it investigates pathogen-transmissibility
management. It seems potentially akin to nuclear research in order to own an
atomic bomb before the enemy does, followed by nuclear non-proliferation
politics so as to constrain annihilation. It seems Dr. Fauci, probably
unintentionally, helped fund biological warfare by China. If, through the
Chinese Virus the U.S. learns how to constrain GFR, history may hold Fauci a
hero rather than tyrant as some people claim. I do not pretend my speculations
touch the-ineluctable-truth.
quora.com/What-is-the-correlation-between-human-rights-and-social-justice?
by Eyeruroma Moses
I think social justice is born of necessity. The human being
has the opportunity, the power, the energy, and the authority to constrain
chaos in their way of living – their mutual connections and transactions.
When one party is unfaithful, invites chaos that harms
another, offender constraint is required and reform to self-discipline should
be facilitated.
quora.com/What-is-the-correlation-between-human-rights-and-social-justice?
by Eyeruroma Moses
I think there is only one human right: the opportunity to
practice, facilitate, and encourage necessity& justice during life. In the
society of humankind, responsible members neither initiate nor accommodate harm
to or from any person or association. They constrain dependent members in
justice.
Elites thrive on fellow-citizens who choose dependency
rather than responsible-human-independence (RHI). Elites represent dependency
as entitlements and rights, and the gullible fall for it. Governments
aggrandize their bestowal of freedom and liberty, in order to bemuse fellow
citizens from RHI.
The civic faction of We the People of the United States
can& may stop the tyranny of John Locke theory of human rights under
natural law. I hope 2022 will be the year the U.S. evolves from English
tradition to RHI according to the 1787 U.S. Constitution.
I hope this helps.

My country is the USA.
Do you insist on knowing our bliss?
We began subjected by Europe’s west, with Atlantic slave trade to support their
colonization-labor. Spain and France competed with England to control us. To
prevent England from owning this vast, rich land, France provided 3:1 more
military personnel and the strategy for the colonist’s victory at Yorktown.
Spain helped pay for the siege and conducted war with England from 1779 to
1783. After 1787, the civic-entity We the People of the United States preserved
and developed its diverse republic to this day.

quora.com/How-many-kinds-of-truth-are-there?
to comments by Vishwas Londhe
Mr.
Londhe, I appreciate your post.
I
advocate “the-ineluctable-truth” for all applications, the hyphens to invite
the reader not to disassemble the phrase. I think humankind works to discover
the-ineluctable-truth in all aspects, from the specific gravity of gold to the
meaning of someone’s imaginative expression.
I
like to start with definition from merriam-webster. com. For the noun “truth”, “the real facts about something”. That definition seems
to fit the comments this quora-question
generated. It also serves well for the massive review of all knowledge about
truth at plato.stanford. edu/search/searcher.py?query=truth, with 1749
documents found. The article “Truth” (August 16, 2018) has 4 “practic”, 1
“absolut”, 4 “scienc” w/3 in footnotes, 53 “philosoph”, and 2 “spirit”.
And
“Truth Values” (Novermber 3, 2020) has 2 “practic”, no “absolut”, 17 “scien”
with 9 in text, 68 “philosoph”, and no “spirit”. There’s no “abso”, 3 “ultim”
not modifying truth, no “literal”, 3 “ine” but none modifying truth.
In
other words, neither Stanford document mentions the truths classed as
inevitable, inescapable, ineluctable; also unavoidable, literal, and similar
“truth” modifiers. On gathering this list, I noticed that Microsoft Bing’s
synonyms to inevitable has them categorized. “Ineluctable” is under “fated” and
directly follows “preordained”. (I am going to show my gratitude to you for the
path to this insight, today on my post “appreciations” at
promotethepreamble.blogspot.com.)
I
see now that my satisfaction with “the-ineluctable-truth” derives from the
merriam-webster. com definition of “ineluctable”: “not to be avoided, changed,
or resisted”. Their opinion suggests not predestination or any other human
condition.
Europeans
use “ineluctable” in a variety of ways, for example, “our conception
of the world is entirely constructed of ideas based on unreliable, ineluctable
sense perception” and “the ineluctable modality of the audible”. Then contrast
“the distraction of inescapable visual input” from Decoding
Dedalus: Ineluctable Modalities — Blooms & Barnacles
(bloomsandbarnacles.com). Also, Ineluctable - What does it mean? |
WikiDiff lends us “1655 ,
Thomas Pierce, A Correct Copy of Some Notes concerning Gods
Decrees , "A Paraenesis to the Reader," chapter 4,
item 50:
God indeed (if it please him) can by his absolute power over his
Creature, make him act this thing, or take that thing, by ineluctable Necessity, and whether he will or no.
Yet
there are U.S. usages. For example, from caselaw.findlaw.
com/md-court-of-special-appeals/1456686.html, “As
in Babwah, the ineluctable conclusion in the instant case is that the detention
of appellant beyond the time when the purpose of the stop was effectuated
precipitated the discovery of the illegal drugs.”
We have the above
instance from 1655. A debate on “inescapable” versus “ineluctable” happened in 1550 to 1580, viewed on Google ngram viewer, which shows
competition. “Predestined”, “fated” and “ineluctable” dominated in 1552 and
“ineluctable” dominated in 1575. Incidentally, “fated” dominates in 1800.
“Ineluctable” usage is on the rise since 1900, but by 2019 reached only 17% of
its peak in 1575. The ngram viewer for
“ineluctable truth” and “the ineluctable truth” shows usage moving from 1 in a
billion starting after 1900.
I advocate 2022 the year of
the-ineluctable-truth in the USA and beyond.

quora.com/Where-does-the-concept-of-informed-consent-come-from?
by Barbara Young Capalbo
Perhaps “informed consent” comes from Calvinist-then-Deist political
tyrant (because we allow it) John Locke’s “Two Treatises on Government” (1690).
In Section 102, he wrote, “. . . but by consent were all equal, till by
the same consent they set rulers over themselves. So that their politic
societies all began from a voluntary union, and the mutual agreement of men
freely acting in the choice of their governors, and forms of government”.
Note that Locke often quotes Anglican divine Richard Hooker’s
Lawes of
Ecclesiastical Politie (1593-7), books adapted from Thomism. For
example, in Locke Section 91 footnote: “they gave their common consent, all to
be ordered by some, whom they should agree upon, without which consent there
would be no reason that one man should take upon him to be lord or judge over
another”. I have no idea where Hooker stood on Catholic “reform” to
Protestantism.
Perhaps Hooker and Locke worked from Aquinas and Aristotle
thoughts on decision reached by consent in applications beyond politics. See mission-ministry.providence.edu/ccds/aquinass-theory-of-decision-and-its-aristotelian-sources-the-role-of-consent/.
Locke’s text uses “consent’ 111 times and “agreement” 17
times. Locke imposes his “God” to posit “natural law”, so far, distracting
Western civilization from the reality that human-being must comport to the laws
of physics& its-progeny: mathematics, chemistry, biology, psychology,
imagination, and in fact everything.
quora.com/How-do-you-define-the-cost-of-freedom?
by Kimberly Gorman-Heltemes
Unlike mammals that are wired for instinctive living, the
human-being can& may choose responsible-human-independence (RHI) rather
than dependency.
The intellectual& psychological requirements for RHI
seem formidable and can be acquired only with intentions. The first quarter
decade of human being requires care-taker attention to practice, facilitate,
and encourage to civic-integrity. “Civic” refers to mutually reliable human
connections& transactions.
Cultural evolutions inculcate “higher power” to constrain
the human-being. Perhaps it’s an extension of essential-care before young adulthood.
Fortunate are the young who acquire the comprehension& intention to perfect
their unique person.
The imposition of higher power has 2 consequences. First,
few persons imagine achieving RHI before death. They maintain bemusement in
their higher power or continual search for reliable dependency. Second,
elites, taking advantage of the people who want a higher power, step in to advertise
freedom& liberty. Instead, they pick the people’s pockets with immunity.
It’s not that the elites are evil: they are merely comforting dependents. (This
phenomenon is explained in Machiavelli’s “Prince”, Chapter XI.)
As civic-citizens, we may facilitate& encourage each
other to choose RHI more than government-bestowed freedom& liberty.

You quote Blackstone natural law---Locke-God law. I found
this quote: “If a person's life is a gift of the Creator and he cannot destroy
it by action, he cannot destroy it by inaction or negligence” at Blackstone's
View of Natural Law and American Law (sullivan-county.com).
This Sullivan County comment seems consistent with John
Locke negating suicide in “Two Treatises of Government”, 1690: “men being all the workmanship of one
omnipotent, and infinitely wise maker; all the servants of one sovereign
master, sent into the world by his order, and about his business; they are his
property”. Locke started as a Calvinist but emerged deist, I think.
Their arguments fall apart when a person’s crime is so
heinous they ought not live. For example, an adult cousin nourishes an appetite
for an adolescent cousin, rapes her, slaughters her, and hides the body parts.
No human should bear such guilt, accepted or not.
There is no excuse for unjust English-precedent in American
law. A blatant example is imposition of unanimous criminal-jury verdicts when
only majority verdicts offer statistical hope for impartiality.
Tragically, the U.S. Supreme Court, in Ramos v Louisiana,
voted 6:3 to impose 12:0 criminal verdicts on Louisiana, while England uses
10:2 verdicts to constrain organized-crime influence on criminal trials.
quora.com/How-can-I-attain-true-freedom?
by Benjamin Dele
I share opinion, because I do not know
the-ineluctable-truth. “Ineluctable” means “not to be avoided, changed, or
resisted” (merriam-webster. com).
Freedom is bestowed by either the winner in war or the mob
in revolution. Therefore, freedom is nothing to aspire to. The human-being
can& may develop responsible-human-independence (RHI).
Independence requires the humility and humor to practice
necessity& justice for living. Civic-integrity is necessary, and that
requires independence from both internal and external constraints.
Independence from internal constraints is attained by
self-discipline. Independence from external constraints is attained by
earning the funds for lifestyle with personal happiness plus paying the taxes
required to offer safety& security.
RHI is the practice, facilitation, and encouragement of fidelity in human
connections& transactions. The individual can& may perfect their
performance before dying.
On the can& may, individuals divide:
responsible-human independents or competitive dependents.

I enjoyed conversation about AMO: Alinsky-Marxist organizations, not that the
truckers is AMO.
I favor the truckers in this cause: resistance to tyranny.
However, I am concerned about violence. The conflict hinges on opinion about
the unknown: what action should the individual take to prevent spreading COVID?
I don't think the truckers can answer that question. Too many people "just
want to live as they wish" while demanding that a higher power usurp their
self-interests.
No government can discipline its citizens. The citizen can& may take
personal interest in their welfare, but no one else will& can act for them.
Government tyranny will not stop until the people begin to want
responsible-human-independence and demand that government officials practice
it.
I write to learn, so please, readers, comment.
