Phil Beaver works to establish opinion when the-objective-truth has not been discovered. He seeks to refine his opinion by listening when people share experiences and observations. The comment box below invites readers to write.
Note 1:  I often dash words in phrases in order to express and preserve an idea. For example, frank-objectivity represents the idea of candidly expressing the-objective-truth despite possible error. In other words, a person expresses his “belief,” knowing he or she could be in error. People may collaboratively approach the-objective-truth.
Note 2: It is important to note "civic" refers to citizens who collaborate for the people more than for the city.

A personal paraphrase of the preamble by & for Phil Beaver:  Willing people in our state routinely, voluntarily collaborate for comprehensive safety and security: continuity (for self, children, grandchildren & beyond), integrity (both fidelity and wholeness),  justice (freedom-from oppression), defense (prevent or constrain harm), prosperity (acquire the liberty-to pursue choices), privacy (responsibly discover & pursue personal goals), lawfulness (obey the law and reform injustices); and to preserve and cultivate the rule of law for the USA’s service to the people in their states.
Composing their own paraphrase, citizens may consider the actual preamble and perceive whether they are willing or dissident toward the preamble.

Our Views (theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/opinion/our_views/article_7262aa60-61b7-11e7-a51e-a3a46ca674aa.html)

The Advocate does not mind raising my hackles. As we go forward, I want to read The Advocate harping on eliminating some $2 billion/year in givewaways.

I do not want my hometown newspaper lobbying for tax increase or service reductions. Scuddy's nine steps for eliminating waste are very good. But reducing services is a no no.

Lastly, I want to spend a new $1 billion/year on a child incentives program that would double TOPS applications. Google "Child incentives brief" or see cipbr.blogspot.com/2016/09/child-incentives-brief.html for a description.

Today’s thought, G.E. Dean (Micah 4:2, CJB).Many Gentiles will go and say,
“Come, let’s go up to the mountain of Adonai,
to the house of the God of Ya‘akov!
He will teach us about his ways,
and we will walk in his paths.”
For out of Tziyon will go forth Torah,
the word of Adonai from Yerushalayim.”

Dean says “That day is coming. What a wonderful day it will be.”

Mystery is not attractive to me. No one sought my opinion about my person when I was conceived. But I think mystery is fictional. What’s needed for happiness is to discover the-objective-truth and practice fidelity to its benefits.

Letters.

Motivation (Ouedraogo). (theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/opinion/letters/article_9385d1b0-65bb-11e7-aa0e-1bdfbe583147.html)

This reminds me of a fish story, but I do not promote miracles. The hashtags seemed like a vast wasteland.

Each of us seeks a meaningful life, but I do not think we are well coached. We may start coaching.

Perhaps the best practice is fidelity: Fidelity to the-objective-truth, both the unknown and the understood facts of reality.

Perhaps happiness is obtained through a hierarchy of fidelity maintained both respectively and collectively: fidelity to the-objective-truth, to your person, to immediate family, to extended family, to friends, to neighbors, to the people, to the state, to the nation, to the world, and to the universe.
In the above hierarchy, the beggar is part of the people, state, and so on.

Viewing the beggar as a person, we may ask: What are the beggar’s obligations? I did not find a URL that helped. Perhaps he or she is not practicing fidelity to the entities to the left of “the people,” but what obligations are being served to the entities to the right? And within the entity “the people,” what is the role of the beggar?

One observation is that he or she fulfills Christian principles; slavery, guilt, grace, fear, and kindness. There but for the Grace of God go I. By helping the poor a person serves God. A person may weigh personal value by wealth. See worldvision.org/christian-faith-news-stories/what-does-the-bible-say-about-the-poor. So the poor may serve as a vehicle for passionate, higher-class people to perceive that they possess grace. In fact, the poor serve as an object for the rich to serve God. I do not condone such class systems. I work for collaboration for mutual living, leaving concerns for a mysterious afterdeath a private pursuit that does not subjugate other people---foreign or domestic.

Poverty and other child abuse as viewed from the-objective-truth derives from procreation without human bonding. A couple has sex without regard for the woman’s bond with her ova. That is, the woman could not care less about her viable ovum becoming an unwanted conception and if gestated and delivered an unloved person. Beyond sexual satisfaction, the man perceives no obligation to the woman or her viable ovum. This problem may be solved with education in the-objective-truth and fidelity.

I spend much of my spare time trying to find ways to share interest in fidelity and public integrity. That does not mean I want to impose comprehensive safety and security on other citizens. However, Ouedraggo did not convince me that his activity will “change the world” for the better.

If you read my ideas, I appreciate your time. I learned a lot by writing and reviewing these thoughts.

Sadow (Marino, Singleton). (Page 6B)

I like Sadow’s research and opinions about his findings. If I did not, I would not read the column, but I would not try to fire him. Rarely do I like Gill’s work. He has too much fun with writing for the sake of writing, for my taste. However, every now and then I think he was good enough for the comic’s page. But he also shares some research that I appreciate. I wouldn’t want him fired, either. I can do without Grace-opinion about commonly known events, so I rarely read that column, accepting the personal loss.

Turtle instincts (Faciane). (theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/opinion/letters/article_4649deb6-65be-11e7-b4c7-3324ac42efa8.html)

It’s a cute letter, but human beings cannot act on instincts and emotions. Human beings are the most psychologically powerful species in existence. We progress at a turtle's pace but don't forget acceleration based on well-coached education.

The facts don’t support government controlling events: see geocraft.com/WVFossils/ice_ages.html. When you are in a warming cycle and people make money with hockey-stick scare tactics---computer models that predictably predict that what goes up will not go down because humankind exists, the power of human psychology needs to kick in. You consider the options and take a course of action. What are the chances of controlling the earth’s atmosphere? None is an option. What are the chances of stopping human reproduction and advancement? None is an option. Preparing for higher temperatures seems an option.

People located on the Louisiana coast happen to be in land that has been subsiding for eons but with fertile Mississippi-delta buildup for the last 7,000 years. Then, 100 years ago, the levy system started jettisoning the silt into the Gulf of Mexico. The land is not disappearing, it is no longer being replenished by intermittent flooding. Are there viable options for reversing the trend? Probably not. Moving to higher ground seems wise.

Thank goodness the people who are willing to collaborate for mutual living, using the-objective-truth more than turtle-instinct and emotion, elected President Trump.

Columns. (The fiction/non-fiction comments gallery for readers)

Immigration (Rich Lowry). politico.com/magazine/story/2017/07/05/trump-is-winning-the-immigration-debate-215340
Read about Italy’s predicament and the EU’s reluctance to help them with the traffic from N. Africa to the boot in the Mediterranean Sea. Now, Europe is coming alive with resistance to immigration.

Medicaid cap (George Will). washingtonpost.com/opinions/how-to-make-the-health-bill-this-centurys-most-significant-domestic-policy-reform/2017/07/07/f51b3330-627c-11e7-a4f7-af34fc1d9d39_story.html?utm_term=.775de319f7ce
Will not only perceives that Medicaid’s “mission gallop” must be constrained, but that the GOP is inviting irrelevant status. I could care less about the GOP’s survival, but fiscal conservatism will prevail because of people willing to collaborate for living.

Tale of two mayors (Lanny Keller, Page 7B). Weak.

Trump wrong (Robert Samuelson). washingtonpost.com/opinions/trumps-trade-trap/2017/07/09/f6dc8ae2-6336-11e7-a4f7-af34fc1d9d39_story.html?utm_term=.0d8765a7ee8f
President Trump’s message to the EU: This is your land, so you must take charge of it. The Marshall Plan ended five decades ago. You must pay your NATO dues; we will not carry you. EU does not like the message, but they will like their inaction even less. Thank you, President Trump.

President Trump tells China: This is your region of the world, and you must take charge of peace here. China responds by cutting back on coal sales to N. Korea. Korea responds like a near-nuclear brat. China and Japan negotiate the statement that N. Korea may promise not to go nuke if the USA will vacate protection of S. Korea. President Trump responds, maybe on our schedule, but right now, No. Thank you, President Trump.

Same thing with Russia. President Trump says the world needs to see better behavior in Syria and E. Europe. Russia doesn’t like it. Thank you, President Trump.

Samuelson seems to prefer before: President Obama was liberal to all nations excepting We the People of the United States. He saddled us and the USA’s children with ruin, but we will recover.

The USA may emerge a culture of societies collaborating for comprehensive safety and security.
