Phil Beaver works to establish opinion when
the-objective-truth has not been discovered. He seeks to refine his opinion by
listening when people share experiences and observations. The comment box below
invites readers to write.
Note 1: I often dash
words in phrases in order to express and preserve an idea. For example, frank-objectivity
represents the idea of candidly expressing the-objective-truth despite possible
error. In other words, a person expresses his “belief,” knowing he or she could
be in error. People may collaboratively approach the-objective-truth. Note 2: It is important to note "civic" refers to citizens who collaborate for the people more than for the city.
A personal paraphrase of the preamble by & for Phil Beaver: Willing people in our state routinely, voluntarily collaborate for comprehensive safety and security: continuity (for self, children, grandchildren & beyond), integrity (both fidelity and wholeness), justice (freedom-from oppression), defense (prevent or constrain harm), prosperity (acquire the liberty-to pursue choices), privacy (responsibly discover & pursue personal goals), lawfulness (obey the law and reform injustices); and to preserve and cultivate the rule of law for the USA’s service to the people in their states.
Composing their own paraphrase, citizens may consider the actual preamble and perceive whether they are willing or dissident toward the preamble.
Our Views (theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/opinion/our_views/article_059db194-6c35-11e7-8999-9b85827b0395.html)
Perhaps The
Advocate is saying in a politically correct way that the people of Louisiana,
including the taxpayers, should have no sympathy for LSU’s poor maintenance
conditions; perhaps it’s that LSU management squanders every opportunity to
make prudent decisions.
Scuddy's got the right idea: Don't increase student fees for fluff. Repair the library with student fees.

When you
consider the belief that public opinion determines public policy and
Mass-Comm-poles provide the press tools to manipulate public opinion; when you
consider the liberal democrats on the LSU faculty; when you consider F. King
Alexander’s 2016 opportunistic symposium “Moment or Movement?” it is easy to
agree: Support LSU sports and forget the rest.
How can
satisfying adult appetites be so competitive against fidelity to
the-objective-truth? Do we suffer the mystery of tradition? Why not mix a
little what-is with the what-could –be?
Today’s thought, G.E. Dean (Psalms 141:5, CJB).
“Let the righteous strike me, let him correct me; it will be
an act of love. Let my head not refuse such choice oil, for I will keep on
praying about their wickedness.”
Dean says, “A godly friend is a treasure. They will speak
the truth because they belong to the one who is the truth.”
David’s thought is mysterious, even if you take the last
word as “calamities” rather than “wickedness.” Out of David’s mystery comes
Dean’s circular confusion.
I protect myself from influence like that of David and Dean by trusting
and committing to the-objective-truth and people who are willing to discover
the reality rather than construct mystery.

Immigration bans often essential to safety and security (Eshelman).
(theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/opinion/letters/article_4ac4e23a-6c9c-11e7-b95a-7776bea95d9d.html)
Thank you. We
need more such realistic reviews of civic history.
For the first
time ever I wondered how things might turn out if the native Americans had a
welcoming immigration policy.
It's never too
late to collaborate for comprehensive safety and security for every decade of
the lives of the people in this land.
PSC
candidate (Green). (theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/opinion/letters/article_85e8a822-7095-11e7-bd47-23016e5c7ea5.html)
Candidate Greene, I appreciate your
letter.
I’m looking for a candidate who wants to work for
comprehensive safety and security or civic morality more than for the mystery
of faith or religious morality. I hope you will do the work to understand what
I mean by that statement and at least show appreciation for the difference. In
other words, it may be possible for you to win my vote.

Social security (Cal Thomas).

So $7,000 per
newborn with 4 million newborns/year is $28 billion/year or $1 trillion over 35
years.
With 120
million taxpayers, that’s only $230/yr per taxpayer. Hummm. Could I swap an
existing tax for this one?
DNC agenda (Clarence Page).

The new platform: increase pay by
pushing for a $15 an hour minimum wage, reduce "everyday expenses" —
such as rising prescription drug and transportation costs that eat away at
family incomes — and use tax credits and other incentives to encourage job
training and hiring.
Free college for everyone seems
better.
Health is everything (Robert
Samuelson). twincities.com/2017/07/26/robert-samuelson-how-health-care-controls-us/
Health
means everything to a person, and it is a personal responsibility. I paid for
my health-care during my thirty-five year career.
The way I would state Samuelson’s
point is that the USA, for Obamacare, had a lapse in integrity, led by the
liberal democrats of the Democratic party. Here’s Samuelson’s version:
“We need a better allocation of burdens: higher eligibility
ages for Social Security and Medicare; lower subsidies for affluent recipients;
tougher restrictions on spending. But this future is impossible without a shift
in public opinion that legitimizes imposing limits on health spending. We
didn’t get that with the eight-year Obamacare debate. The compassionate impulse
overwhelmed the rational instinct.”
Phil Beaver does not “know”
the-indisputable-facts. He trusts and is committed to the-objective-truth of which
most is undiscovered and some is understood. He is agent for A Civic People of
the United States, a Louisiana, education non-profit corporation. See online at
