A personal paraphrase
of the June 21, 1788 preamble: We the civic citizens of nine of the
thirteen United States commit-to and trust-in the purpose and goals stated
herein --- integrity, justice, collaboration, defense, prosperity, liberty, and
perpetuity --- and to cultivate limited services to us by the USA. I am willing
to collaborate with other citizens on this paraphrase, yet may settle on and
would always preserve the original text.
Mr. Dooley, I support your views.
People may
wonder why I subscribe to The Advocate: As a civic citizen, I work to preserve
representative republicanism against the relentless attack of liberal-democracy
or social-democracy---mob rule. Statutory justice vs chaos. Personal authority
for private living vs tyranny. Personal development vs institutional doctrine.
Responsible freedom vs oppression. Living a human life vs collectivism. The
American republic vs The Advocate democracy.
Early
in my eighth decade, I have been studying for four decades, intensely for three
decades, to answer two quandaries. First, in a world with so many wonderful
cultures and amazing technologies, why do the animalistic humans dominate the
civic humans’ news? (See Rich Lowry’s column today on MS-13 gang.) Second, in
the unique nation that controversially discovered freedom from oppression such
that the civic citizen has the liberty to (may) pursue private happiness
instead of the life someone else intends for him or her, why isn’t there a
civic culture?
In a
civic culture, the majority understands that there will always be dissidents to
civic morality. Therefore, the civic citizens adopt, for example, the agreement
that is stated in the preamble to the constitution for the USA, and collaborate
for statutory justice. In other words, civic citizens collaborate to conform to
the-objective-truth, which can only be discovered---cannot be constructed from
an assumption and reason. Each time injustice is discovered, written law and
its enforcement institutions are adjusted by the civic citizens so as to
advance statutory justice.
The
answers may be expressed by The Advocate:
“. . . death threats, which we condemn, underscore a deep
disregard for civic decency — a muddle that the moral clarity of American
democracy, at its best, is designed to answer.”
The Advocate has not the private authority it takes to establish
and uphold the American republic---the rule of statutory justice---rather than
democracy, which is mob rule. It seems something about The Advocate’s business
plan influences them to think chaos is better than civic order. I think The
Advocate privately nourishes and publically promotes an erroneous belief.
AMO victims and potential recruits: beware The Advocate’s
influence. Citizens, be informed about Alinsky-Marxist organizers. Their tactics
disrupt the civic order rather than collaborate for justice.
To JR Madden: JR, perhaps you oppose my view
that The Advocate is a free and irresponsible press.
My opinion came
from studying “A Free and Responsible Press,” a book that is now online at
archive.org/details/freeandresponsib029216mbp. Other URLs have analyses of the
book. I am grateful to Jack Hamilton for assigning the study at LSU.
I think the First Amendment should be revised to “free and responsible”
speech and press. The Louisiana Constitution better expresses responsibility in
expressions.

No doubt there should be a local component (by contiguous
parishes) in funding a new bridge, but I-10 also serves the nation’s East-West
traffic and thereby residents of New Orleans and other south Louisiana
municipalities.

know I first voted for Donald Trump and Mike Pence with the hope of ending five
decades' momentum toward liberal-democracy, social-democracy, Alinsky-Marxist
organization (AMO), socialism, communism, arbitrary human rights---such as the
right to know mathematics---as justification for violence or disruption, and
other evils that have been allowed by the GOP and promoted by the DNC. Then, I
voted for Trump-Pence to defeat the worst candidate the DNC could have brooked.
What
Trump/Pence has accomplished under media-duress is amazing. For example, I
heard today Walmart’s announcement that they would share part of their tax savings
by increasing the base pay to employees!
It’s time for
attorneys who spread foolish ideas to reconsider personal influence. The USA
has entered the era of reform from the misdirection that was erroneously
initiated by the First Congress. They erroneously instituted the 1789 American
democracy of factional-theism. However, the 1787 destiny is not
liberal-democracy---chaos. The 1787 American republic prevails, because it is
founded on the freedom-from oppression so as to preserve the liberty-to responsibly
spend personal energy in private pursuits. American republicanism was
discovered and established by American statesmen. Many 2018 citizens do not
understand America, and no foreigner suffering their government, understands
America's promise: freedom-from and liberty-to.
The civic
agreement that is offered in the preamble to the constitution for the USA is
both areligious and apolitical (is voluntary under the authority of the
individual human person versus the human animal). “Civic” refers to citizens
collaborating for mutual, comprehensive safety and security so that each
individual may responsibly pursue the happiness they prefer rather than yield
to doctrine someone would impose on them.
Dissidents to
the agreement that is offered in the preamble may consider personal reform.
Civic citizens recognize they have the private authority to behave with
responsible freedom---need no authorization to behave from either government or
God.

I write to establish
a civic people, human persons who collaborate for mutual, comprehensive safety
and security, realizing that dissidents to justice range from the uniformed
person to the criminal and on to the evil, or human animals. In context, it
seems that members of the MS-13 gang illustrate “human animals.”

I appreciate the history review and
a few thoughts. First, “conflict . . . between the individual and the
collective.” Second, “acting upon reality instead of either hope or hate.”
These ideas are expressed as America’s potential to managing a relationship
with Russia “instead of screaming at it.”
In the same way, a better future is
achievable in America if civic citizens will, by example, encourage miss-informed
dissidents to reform. And meanwhile constrain the criminals and worse, knowing
that there will always be some people who believe either crime or evil, pays.
