Phil Beaver seeks to collaborate on the-objective-truth, which can only be discovered. The comment box below invites readers to write.
"Civic" refers to citizens who collaborate for responsible freedom more than for the city.
A personal paraphrase of the June 21, 1788 preamble:  We the civic citizens of nine of the thirteen United States commit-to and trust-in the purpose and goals stated herein --- integrity, justice, collaboration, defense, prosperity, liberty, and perpetuity --- and to cultivate limited services to us by the USA. I am willing to collaborate with other citizens on this paraphrase, yet may settle on and would always preserve the original text.

Our Views (theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/opinion/our_views/article_8252db9a-f652-11e7-8e6c-6b0eaf611032.html)

Shame on The Advocate for not pointing out that increased economic activity due to the federal corporate tax reductions will also increase Louisiana revenues.

Today’s thought, G.E. Dean (Mark 1:35 CJB)
Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Yeshua got up, left, went away to a lonely spot and stayed there praying.

Dean says, “Jesus prayed. So should we.”

I never thought I was wise enough to change fate; I trust my origins, whatever they may be. As a human being, I am in charge of both my energy and judgment about how to use it.

Letters

Message from a freethinker (Sammonds) (theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/opinion/letters/article_2d91efbe-fc93-11e7-b92b-0be7c5c8d9ef.html)

Ron, I am not a Christian but voted for Donald Trump/Mike Pence twice: once so as to defeat the unproductive GOP candidates and the second time to defeat Hillary Clinton. But moreover, because I perceive Trump can discover the job that needs to be done: establish private liberty with civic morality in the USA.

I’d like to lighten you message to “Thank you, Phil Beaver,” each time you think of Trump.

AMO coalition (Rickerfor) (theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/opinion/letters/article_4058b54a-fc68-11e7-a50f-cbcd19e547ff.html)

If the council acted for the AMO coalition, it is no mystery.

The idea is that a coalition of minorities will vote as a block and be able to control the USA.

I think the American dream, freedom-from oppression with liberty-to responsibly pursue personal preferences, is too strong to yield to an alien dream.

The New Orleans City Council alienated themselves from the republic. Maybe they will reform.

Impassioned objection (Young) theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/opinion/letters/article_0d8af06e-fc91-11e7-80b5-cb5a56b72fd2.html

I’m thankful to The Advocate for publishing the cruelty so that the owner can read your opinion.

Focus on Norwegian skin color (Clarence Page) chicagotribune.com/news/opinion/page/ct-perspec-page-donald-trump-immigration-vulgarity-daca-0117-story.html

The Americans who focus on skin color to construct debate don’t realize how isolated they are and how fascination with skin color lessens US competitive status in the world. Norway is 6th and the US is 11th according to IMF; en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_GDP_(PPP)_per_capita#Lists_of_countries_and_dependencies

We all could learn from Norway what to do, as a people, with wealth. Important are educate and plan ahead, but there are details we could ponder and try to mimic.

Originally Christian, Norway seems transitioning to a civic culture, where religion is a private, adult choice rather than a civil matter. Perhaps the transition reflects cultural evolution toward civic morality.

As we approach Black History Month, I would like to propose a future theme: The evolution and status of civic morality among African nations.

Phil Beaver does not “know” the actual-reality. He trusts and is committed to the-objective-truth which can only be discovered. He is agent for A Civic People of the United States, a Louisiana, education non-profit corporation. See online at promotethepreamble.blogspot.com.
