Phil Beaver seeks to collaborate on the-objective-truth, which can only be discovered. The comment box below invites readers to write.
"Civic" refers to citizens who collaborate for responsible freedom more than for the city.
A personal paraphrase of the June 21, 1788 preamble:  We the civic citizens of nine of the thirteen United States commit-to and trust-in the purpose and goals stated herein --- integrity, justice, collaboration, defense, prosperity, liberty, and perpetuity --- and to cultivate limited services to us by the USA. I want to collaborate with other citizens on this paraphrase, yet would always preserve the original, 1787, text.

Our Views (theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/opinion/our_views/article_5025d746-2873-11e8-8f4e-eb501e8f0363.html)

The Advocate personnel are always anxious to let readers take civic responsibility while the Advocate practices lawyerly freedom of the press. It’s like the press is the hate monger and civic readers are voluntary defenders of freedom-from hate with the liberty-to pursue private happiness rather than civilization, socialization or legalization.

It was the Bill Clinton family that informed us that some politicians are so essential the definition of “is” can circumvent justice regarding semen on a blue dress and abuse of an adolescent woman. Readers, that’s hard evidence pushed out of view by slick lawyering.

It is difficult to discern which profession teaches political evil more effectively:  lawyers who explode possibilities into lies the plaintiff must address, the judiciary based on opinion rather than the-objective-truth, the churches with their political and actual wars for dominant opinion rather than the-objective-truth, or the press’s hubris of legal freedom rather than civic responsibility.

In this Our Views, the most egregious offense to this reader is The Advocate personnel’s equivocation of Schedler’s commitment against being “cowardly” with a multi-timer’s presidential image of profile in courage. JFK was another #metoo offender. Without hypocrisy, The Advocate could honor my wish to let my vote for Schedler stay in place without the expense of a special election as long as the case has not been settled.

If ever there was a case for remaining silent until the plaintiff’s lawyers have done their work, Schedler’s is the event. Part of the #metoo ploy is to ply humankind’s most severe appetite, sex, for financial gain, no matter how long it takes.

Appetite without satisfaction is difficult to bear. I suddenly suffered the loss of familiar practices when MWW chose to leave home for night shifts with a beloved Alzheimer’s patient; I never want to recall the horrible imaginations that my body, mind and person fortunately rejected. But I only consider myself more lucky than Schelder, not more courageous. At least MWW was still around during days, and it helped me learn that the essential appetite is psychological, not physical. Every mature, civic person should know about psychological appetites. The Advocate should know.

Speaking of stonewalling, The Advocate personnel stonewall the-objective-truth. The hyphens repress separating the words, but by no means is the objective truth a new idea. See for example, the 1956 writing of a reformed Hungarian communist, Nicolas Gimes.

Apparently, The Advocate personnel are immune from human, personal authority to behave for the good rather than for hate mongering. There’s a better business plan for The Advocate, if the personnel will accept human authority to behave for the good. We’ll see how it turns out with our hometown newspaper.

Today’s thought, G.E. Dean (Mark 8:34-37 CJB), The Advocate, March 17, 2018, 7B.
Then Yeshua called the crowd and his talmidim to him and told them, "If anyone wants to come after me, let him say `No' to himself, take up his execution stake, and keep following me. For whoever wants to save his own life will destroy it, but whoever destroys his life for my sake and for the sake of the Good News will save it. Indeed, what will it benefit a person if he gains the whole world but forfeits his life? What could a person give in exchange for his life?

Dean, quoting only V.35, says, “True life is found when we give our all to Jesus. The world cannot give the peace that Jesus can.”

As far as I can tell, Jesus’s intention is favored afterdeath for believers’ souls. Nothing wrong with that! However, the world does not honor people who misuse Bible interpretation for evil. I doubt Jesus rewards evil doers. Consider Robert E. Lee, who listened to Protestant ministers and wrote to his wife in 1856,

The blacks are immeasurably better off here than in Africa, morally, socially & physically. The painful discipline they are undergoing, is necessary for their instruction as a race, & I hope will prepare & lead them to better things. How long their subjugation may be necessary is Known & ordered by a wise & merciful Providence. Their emancipation will sooner result from the mild & melting influence of Christianity, than the storms & tempests of fiery Controversy. This influence though slow is sure. The doctrines & miracles of our Saviour have required nearly two thousand years to Convert but a small part of the human race, & even Christian nations, what gross errors still exist! While we see the Course of the final abolition of human slavery is onward, & we give it the aid of our prayers & all justifiable means in our power we must leave the progress as well as the result in his hands who Sees the end; who Chooses to work by slow influences ; & with whom two thousand years are but a single day. leefamilyarchive.org/9-family-papers/339-robert-e-lee-to-mary-anna-randolph-custis-lee-1856-december-27.

Frederick Douglass had expressed in 1852 that everyone perceives slavery is not alright if he or she is the slave. It is possible that Lee’s inalienable human authority to develop goodness informed him he was in error, but he could not overcome his chosen ministers’ erroneous influence.

Recently, Lee Circle was transformed to a naked pedestal, a shameful sight in New Orleans. It would be fitting for Lee Circle to remain as is for the world, leaving Lee’s afterdeath to Jesus, as it may be.

Assigning responsibility to God (Christopher Simon) (Page 2D)

This interpretation by Simon is designed to comfort the poor with poverty and comfort the wealthy that they are merely enjoying God’s favor. However, distribution of the gross national product is a human activity. Every human individual has the authority to make certain to neither impose nor tolerate oppression.

The American political will to grant corporate CEOs million dollar salaries and multi-million dollar benefits as well as the system that entices adult entertainment to produce fabulous boons for entertainers while most of the nation’s children suffer inferior educations is barbaric.

Simon’s interpretation of the Holy Bible exacerbates the evil of Bible’s canonization and its imposition on the people.

A civic culture separates church from state and vice versa. Other cultures are barbaric.

World peace a civic people’s function (Esman) (theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/opinion/letters/article_db55b08c-27a8-11e8-877e-f3cc75336e29.html)

Keep it trash-free and mowed, but otherwise preserve Lee Circle with its naked pedestal for the world to visit, research, and ponder.

On March 17, G. E. Dean, interpreting part of Mark 8:34-37, says, “True life is found when we give our all to Jesus. The world cannot give the peace that Jesus can.”

To Lois Shofstahl: President Trump informs U.S. residents that even the chief administrator for a people or nation, the good and the bad, remains a civic citizen with the opportunity to reject traditional tyranny.

Esman was a citizen as non-profit director and remains a citizen in retirement.

Phil Beaver does not “know” the actual-reality. He trusts and is committed to the-objective-truth which can only be discovered. He is agent for A Civic People of the United States, a Louisiana, education non-profit corporation. See online at promotethepreamble.blogspot.com.
