Mayor Holden review. Only a reader, I seem
unqualified to comment on the poor journalism-research my hometown newspaper
does. Perhaps some facts just need to be obfuscated.>>>However, a chemical engineer can easily find from WAFB the
reminder of Holden's powerful handling of the White firing:
wafb.com/story/20581908/baton-rouge-police-chief-fired . I thought Holden was
excessively silent about his certitude, and then I learned why. The why is in
The Advocate's archives yet absent from this article.>>>About
relationships with NBR people, The Advocate could connect dots respecting local
invitations to irresponsible Alinsky-Markist organizations (AMO). Perhaps
Holden did not approve connections and influences of anti-USA speakers like
Jeremiah Wright. The Advocate archives has inflammatory comments by Charles Steele Jr.:
theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/entertainment_life/faith/article_0267ba79-4a92-552a-aaeb-ecc5df56348a.html
. Perhaps Steele recruits did not like Holden’s prayer: “Dear God, today we
ask you bless our hearts, souls, minds and body. Today, I ask and pray that
those who are still searching, that you give them the compass to everlasting
life.” See
theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/entertainment_life/faith/article_22cef1d2-2919-535e-92fb-a58b64f03b75.html
. I speculate Holden was asking people to reject the incitement he was hearing
from visitors to Baton Rouge. Some, not The Advocate, might call them radical
troublemakers or worse: inciters to riot comes to mind. >>>The litany
of “together” by Reginald Pitcher may reflect Holden’s possible sympathy with James Meredith’s
claim that during the last five decades the black race his neglected the
responsibility-and-duty-side-of-citizenship:
concordmonitor.com/Civil-rights-marchers-U-S-still-needs-to-address-inequality-3635924
. The “together” groups have in mind coercing citizens to effect AMO disruptions---sacrifice for social democracy rather than enjoy the individual-independence that the USA
offers. >>>Should $170 million for a tram be rounded to $100 million
rather than $200 million? See
http://www.theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/news/business/article_7a439c12-59c0-11e6-806b-6754c57762c5.html
. Will typical workings of the entrepreneurs turn it to $600 million? I hope Baton Rouge capitalizes a mental health facility instead of a tram. >>>The
statement “This summer, Holden was silent . . .” is simply false. Holden held a
press conference the next day.>>>Beware the raised fist and any substitutes:
Beware solidarity respecting anything except iterative collaboration for
broadly-defined-civic-safety-and-security, hereafter Security.
Evangeline authorities.
Who brought this systematic
vigilantism to the fed’s attention if not the citizens involved? Perhaps the reporting
citizen was a policeman who perceived top-and-bottom-vigilantism and saw no
other recourse but to seek help beyond Louisiana.>>>IMO the solution to this amazing long-standing tyranny disclosed in 2016
lies with the judges and lawyers who entrap first responders in injustice that
is obvious only to first responders and criminals. Police officers seem entrapped between 1) judicial
failure to indict & convict and 2) group vigilantism within the community. >>>Here
are some telling quotes from the article: “. . . detectives instructed patrol
officers to . . . bring in a person for questioning.” “. . . Investigators
hoped the experience would encourage cooperation.” “. . . testing whether a
crime wave subsides while a particular person is in jail.” Draconian
ordinances. “They’re basically trying to catch a drug charge on you.” “There’s
no jobs and no businesses.” “We’re here to uphold the law.” >>>The
police are the personnel a civic people hire for public protection. The police
are being denied the civil right to perform a job that government authorized, in
this case enforcing statutory law. Like any human caught in a trap, some first
responders make the mistake of trying to solve the problem without identifying
the cause: Perhaps corrupt judges and lawyers. >>>Observing the huge
lawsuits that result, perhaps vigilantism is a judicial-cottage-industry at the
expense of a civic people. Perhaps some governors are intimidated.
James Gill column. Isn't the witness protection
system itself an injustice to a civic people? Convicting criminals is not easy,
but coercing other criminals is costly attempt to make the investigators’ job
easier. The people who authorize the short-cut should be held accountable by a
civic people.
Rheta Grimsley Johnson column. “. . . if I had
another talent besides stringing together words,” seems appropriate assessment.
I can’t write but want public-integrity as private-liberty-with-civic-morality.
Aside regarding A Civic People (ACP). My goal is to
inspire the people, I think 2/3, who take-for-granted personal behavior for civic
morality that overarches real-no-harm social morality. To recognize and
appreciate each other and keep personal factions such as religious opinion in
appropriate privacy yet be open to sharing private opinion in mutually appreciative
settings. I have hoped a civic people would voluntarily help.>>>Each day, I am
reminded how uniformed I am and that this, like trying to indoctrinate myself
in a religion, is (not seems: is) a futile undertaking. Did you know about Implicit Bias and not inform me?
Implicit Bias. In 2002, I walked out on Maxine Crump’s (YWCA and First Methodist Church sponsored) “Dialogues on Race” attempted indoctrination that Phil Beaver is racist. I walked during the last 10 minutes of six, two-hour inculcation-sessions and all the reading. I left the party-planning. It was a traumatic experience, yet when I encounter “white privilege” accusation today, I rebuke it immediately. This morning, I was embarrassed again with my ignorance as I stumbled on perhaps the real, obfuscated reason Clinton lost election: nationalreview.com/article/440503/hillary-clintons-implicit-bias-talk-ominous . Implicit bias??? My ignorance of how a person like Clinton can become lost in social democracy is unlimited.>>>I will not give up my dream but think it seems time to change paths.

Recall: Phil Beaver trusts and is committed to, but does not know the-objective-truth
of which most is undiscovered yet some is understood. He works for opinion when
the-indisputable-facts-of-reality have not been discovered and seeks refinement
through other people’s experiences and observations. Please use the comment box
