Request: Phil Beaver works to establish opinion only when the-indisputable-facts-of-reality have not been discovered. He seeks to refine his opinion by learning other people’s experiences and observations. Please use the comment box below to share facts and opinion.

Our Views:
". . . real fear . . . " That's a fear induced and promoted by The Advocate.

". . . act too hastily with regard to Medicaid." Gov. John Bell Edwards did it, acting hastily must be the right thing to do.

I'll never forget contributing to John Bel Edwards’ campaign so I could speak to his ear in all that noise and shuffle, "Please work with Senator Cassidy on Medicaid." Edwards responded, "I can't do that: He's supporting Vitter." Fear and regrets about my check swept over me.

That moment I learned that Democrats cannot consider working for the people in collaboration with the people's elected officials. Also, Dardenne seems to have behaved that way toward candidate John Kennedy. It seems Democrats seriously intend to revamp the United States to a social democracy rather than a republic.

At least, that’s how The Advocate seems to represent the story.

Today’s Thought (Dean). If fidelity to the-indisputable-facts is one of the cares Bible readers turn over to Jesus, perhaps it’s time to consider other literature and influences: common sense, for example.

Education (Duplessis). So far, education has not taken an approach that would push the envelope of human psychological powers. Current emphasis is on “training the workers we need” and churning huge education budgets for competitive-adult gains. That’s right: Education systems have the wrong goals. (BTW, the federal education department should be terminated.)

The human species is so psychologically powerful that it takes about three decades for a unique person to grow from newborn to civic adult with both understanding and intent to live fully! (I first began to appreciate this fact by reading Overstreet, The Mature Mind, 1949, and I seek a better explanation of this human transition.) In the first place, the typical human body does not complete construction of the wisdom parts of the brain until age 25. Maybe a typical person begins the long maturing process after more than 30 years of age. For a few, psychological maturity may obtain at age 65 or beyond. The “few” could be increased with an education system designed to develop civic persons rather than to fill jobs.

Perhaps a civic education system first teaches reading, writing, comprehension, math, and health; then branches into personally establishing autonomy, collaborative association, appreciative bonding, fidelity to the-indisputable-facts-of-reality, responsible acquisition of knowledge, and career choices as authenticity toward self-discovery. The knowledge itself is on the Internet more than on any teacher's cell-phone.

I’d like to develop these ideas with educators. I have a concrete proposal for how to inspire children to learn.

Liberal bias (Hogan).  Let’s clarify “liberal” as for liberty vs for equality---a case of public-integrity.
A classical liberal (me) wants individual-independence-with-civic-morality; such as fiscal responsibility.

Most classical liberals try to establish rational-opinion, often religious opinion, as the means to establish civic morality. Most of us recognize the failure of factional-Christianity as the opinions that establishes civic morality. A civic people suggest the-indisputable-facts-of-reality, hereafter, The Facts, as a workable basis for civic morality.

A person’s success is determined by personal fidelity to The Facts. Thus, if a person forms a bond with another person but is not faithful, the bond is lost. If a person does not earn a living, he or she reports to another person.
A contemporary liberal (my enemy because he or she wants to destroy the USA) wants the government to grant them equality despite infidelities to The Facts. For example, a contemporary would form a family and after a few decades admit that motherhood is more attractive and compete with the woman with whom children were conceived. The person who gestated and bore the children just has to accept competition in dress and make-up, and adult children just have to accept two mothers---one “real” and the other really real. The people must include a sex-change operation as an insured health-care service. I oppose contemporary liberal thought like the plague.

That The Advocate seems to retain its contemporary-liberal bias in the face of the November 8 national vote would be laughable if it were not my hometown newspaper. On Nov 8, 3084 of America’s 3114 counties voted for public-integrity. I want a newspaper that has awakened to civic morality.

Protesters (Ellis). I recently arranged the use of Independence Park Theatre, a BREC facility, for a voice concert. BREC required me to contract for $1 million in liability insurance. I recall the cost was $350 for the 780 attendance possibility.

When protesters, whether they by Alinsky-Marxist organizers (AMO) or others apply for protest permit, they should be required to insure the event against liability. Protests, especially AMO protests, are predicated on the prospect that civic disruption will erupt into violence and destruction. Protester-liability is built in but not covered by the protesters.

Charles Krauthammer column. “Kerry mentioned none of this because it undermines his blame-Israel narrative.” These concerns may be viewed within Alinsky Rules 2&3:  bestofbeck.com/wp/activism/saul-alinskys-12-rules-for-radicals . If one views Obama as the pope of Alinsky-Marxist organizers (AMO), his administration’s term-ending moves seem masterful and a promise of more to come if AMO is not publicized as the USA’s number one enemy. AMO wants assurance of equality no matter how civically immoral their behavior may be, and We the [Civic] People of the United States wants private-liberty-with-civic-morality.

Obama taught us the meaning of audacity: I will ruin the USA while I demonstrate I am ruining your personal future. Beware AMO and the future Obama.

BTW. As part Scots-Irishman, I was reared with a “saw” for bad times, “Worse things happened to better people.” Consider reading Paul Johnson’s book, A History of the Jews, 1987. Imagine you are a metaphysical, 4000-year-old-Jew. Then, consider 2017 trust and commitment: either pray for Security or prepare to defend yourself against all powers including the contemporary-liberal, AMO changed USA. We hope hope is coming.

Dana Milbank column. I often finish a column and think: What if the writer was not so pleased with being cute. Lucky in 2017? The communications by Jefferson and Hamilton had nothing to do with luck. They were working together to establish the world’s best hope: a civic people’s freedom so that a people have the liberty to live in civic morality.

And the Burr of 2016, perhaps Hillary Clinton, dismissed herself with lies and contemporary liberalism. Perhaps her unheralded undoing was the finger of “implicit bias” with three fingers pointing back: washingtontimes.com/news/2016/oct/3/hillary-clintons-implicit-bias/ .

It’s unfortunate for the writer when a columnist mistakes a Broadway play for representation of history rather than contemporary-liberal propaganda.

37,000 jobs at risk (Page 4A) That’s $1 billion per year. I did not notice the boon! Is it a bureaucratic welfare-drain on health care, as depicted? If so, let’s rid ourselves of that burden and replace it with health care!

Planned Parenthood (Page 4A). I want to end to the religion-government-partnership that subjugates women merely because gestation and delivery is their responsibility and authority. However, it seems to me Planned Parenthood is a contemporary-liberal-scheme to circumvent civic medical care. Nothing wrong with ending civic subversion, if that’s what Planned Parenthood is.

For socioeconomic equity, free-enterprise may reform so that an adult who supplies needed labor or service earns a living plus enough to save & invest for retirement. Adults may save & invest and constrain contemporary liberalism.

Phil Beaver does not “know”. Phil trusts and is committed to the-objective-truth of which most is undiscovered yet some is understood.
