Phil Beaver works to establish opinion when
the-objective-truth has not been discovered. He seeks to refine his opinion by
listening when people share experiences and observations. The comment box below
invites readers to write.
Note 1: I often dash
words in phrases in order to express and preserve an idea. For example, frank-objectivity
represents the idea of candidly expressing the-objective-truth despite possible
error. In other words, a person expresses his “belief,” knowing he or she could
be in error. People may collaboratively approach the-objective-truth. Note 2: It is important to note "civic" refers to citizens who collaborate for the people more than for the city.
A personal paraphrase
of the preamble by & for Phil Beaver: We the willing people of nine of
the thirteen United States commit to and trust in the purpose and goals
stated herein --- integrity, justice, collaboration, defense, prosperity,
liberty, and perpetuity --- and to cultivate limited services by the USA, beginning
on June 21, 1788.
Composing their own paraphrase, citizens may consider the actual preamble
and perceive whether they are willing or dissident toward its agreement.
“One
day, [cheapening the brand for ‘economic development’] might not make an easy
sell for a hefty check from taxpayers.” Only taxpayers?
The
Advocate flaunts freedom of the irresponsible press to divide the victims of
Gov. Edwards’s gift of $0.5 million to Foster Farms --- out of funds that could
have been used for aid to abused children or for K-12 education or for roads
--- as the people versus taxpayers. In other words, The Advocate falsely
asserts that it’s the people vs taxpayers, so the people are not hurt by the
loss.
Routinely,
the people, the victims of Gov. Edwards’ largesse toward special interests such
as Foster Farms get the message that it does not matter to them: The taxpayers suffer the bill.
This “people
vs taxpayers’ competition” is insidious mendacity that has been taken for
granted for a long time. My recognition that the victims and the taxpayers are
together in suffering Gov. Edwards’ largesse is new. Also, I am not
influential. So give The Advocate a short time to awaken to the need for a free
and responsible press; even better a responsible press collaborating to help
the people maintain freedom. But the argument “the people and taxpayers
together” as the governor’s victims is probably not new.
Maybe
some more citizens will notice that the people and the taxpayers suffer
together.
Today’s thought,
G.E. Dean (Psalms 5:4, CJB)
“For you are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness; evil
cannot remain with you.”
Dean says “God will never condone evil.”
Dean seems to be dictating to God: “evil cannot remain with
you.” However, the Bible, both in Old Testament and in New Testament, condones
slavery --- an undeniable evil. I doubt Dean has confronted this and other
problems with the Word.
Letters
Damn the children: Load their wagon. (Heurich)
(theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/opinion/letters/article_77b03a48-97d9-11e7-8570-97a8e337dfee.html)
This is the most
egregious letter I have read in a long time.
There’s no
problem with a retired teacher composing thoughts that wantonly duck adult
responsibilities by passing them off to children and failing to tear the letter
up. However, there is plenty of problem with The Advocate choosing to publish
the thoughts rather than constrain them to privacy.
“What is easier? Avoiding the release of more
greenhouse gases, or asking our kids to somehow extract them from the
atmosphere? Scientists have told us decades ago that we need to cut back
on greenhouse gas emissions.” Adults have also known for decades that
procreation is out of control; but “population control” is out of social
popularity.
“And if we would build wind farms in the Gulf of Mexico we’d no longer be an energy island at the end of the line.“ Really? Who’d take them down so that Harvey could pass?

Self serving (Horcasitas) (theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/opinion/letters/article_08f215b0-97d7-11e7-ae88-b7fcf8d0ecb6.html)
I guessed the author of this
letter when I got to “As a licensed
clinical social worker . . . “
I was an occasional subject
of his self-promotion. When I met him for lunch at the appointed time, he had
already eaten, yet allowed all the time necessary for me to order and take my
lunch. His was a strange expression, in my opinion.
He had boasted about two
citizens with differing opinions in civil conversation and hopes to expand to a
group. Maybe he did.

Deplorables (Lanny Keller)

Having voted
for candidate Donald Trump twice and being a strong supporter of President Trump’s
transition to the intention to make America great, I consider myself, as of
this column, a political enemy of Mr. K. That’s alright.
I thought I saw it coming, and hope my two votes made it possible for Mr. K to someday change his mind because he perceives sincere liberty for the first time, made possible by President Trump.

Traitor? (George Will) http://journalstar.com/opinion/columnists/george-will-will-congress-wake-up-do-its-job/article_271dbc12-de17-5fbb-abd6-3daae26563f3.html
Will cites Congressional decline since 1933 and James
Burnham, 1959 to fault President Trump. Only a writer who claims freedom from
responsibility could write such egregious error.
I’m counting on my two votes for candidate Trump to help
Will reform to better support for the willing people of the USA.
The liberal democrats are at
fault (Robert Samuelson) (article.wn.com/view/2017/09/12/Robert_Samuelson_The_progressives_are_to_blame_too/)
Cutting the federal debt is essential to the nation’s
children.

most is undiscovered and some is understood. He is agent for A Civic People of
