Phil Beaver works to establish opinion when the-objective-truth has not been discovered. He seeks to refine his opinion by listening when people share experiences and observations. The comment box below invites readers to write.
Note 1:  I often dash words in phrases in order to express and preserve an idea. For example, frank-objectivity represents the idea of candidly expressing the-objective-truth despite possible error. In other words, a person expresses his “belief,” knowing he or she could be in error. People may collaboratively approach the-objective-truth.
Note 2: It is important to note "civic" refers to citizens who collaborate for the people more than for the city.
A personal paraphrase of the preamble by & for Phil Beaver:  We the willing people of nine of the thirteen United States commit to and trust in the purpose and goals stated herein --- integrity, justice, collaboration, defense, prosperity, liberty, and perpetuity --- and to cultivate limited services by the USA, beginning on June 21, 1788.
Composing their own paraphrase, citizens may consider the actual preamble and perceive whether they are willing or dissident toward its agreement.

Today’s thought, G.E. Dean (Psalms 27:14 CJB)
“Put your hope in Adonai, be strong, and let your heart take courage! Yes, put your hope in Adonai!”

Dean says, “Be patient. God is at work.”

From David to Dean is about 3,000 years. A person’s life is about 80 years. Let civic morality not wait for God. Let civic peace not wait for God. Let justice not wait for God. On March 4, 1861, Abraham Lincoln said justice comes from a civic people rather than from government or God. I think I understand Lincoln, but not David and Dean.

Assault (Castro) (theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/opinion/letters/article_2b9b9f4c-c8cd-11e7-a8b6-c3f3ea931988.html)

As senior in high school, I was a class officer.

But something else empowered me to resist the invitation I got during math class one day. Judy patted her fanny and said, “This is mine---all mine. But you can have a little piece if you want.” I lost trust in her that moment, but never stopped concern for her.

Somehow, by age ten or so I had learned personal autonomy. When peers tried to involve me in adventure I felt risked my person, I declined participation.

Same thing when a couple boys tried to involve me in their fun under the covers. I declined. Somehow, even then I took interest in fidelity to the-objective-truth, myself, family, and beyond.

Many people today understand fidelity. Some don’t. Some are dissidents to fidelity.

This letter also appeared on November 26. What’s going on?

Defending administrative waste (Lanny Keller) (theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/opinion/lanny_keller/article_148d9a8e-d3b9-11e7-b17f-474b2c673a5f.html)

Good grief: Edwards’ administrative mismanagement is the topic.

“. . . Legislative Auditor Darryl Purpera should have language in the contracts about oversight of spending.”

“The auditors' authority is already pretty sweeping, and it is not clear if Purpera was wise to allow his nonpartisan agency to become a part of this discussion at all.”

Keller begs woe to side with Gov. Edwards in his bid to hide his Medicaid blunders. Edwards himself does not want to face that it was the erroneous thing to do and the woe is piling up.

A plain lie by the Washington Post (Byron York) washingtonexaminer.com/byron-york-what-really-happened-with-the-gop-platform-and-russia/article/2641705

“. . . some Democrats, Republican NeverTrumpers, and their allies in the press portrayed the platform meeting in Cleveland as Donald Trump selling out the GOP to Putin. They were helped in their efforts by a July 18, 2016, story in the Washington Post with the headline, "Trump campaign guts GOP's anti-Russia stance on Ukraine" — a blatantly false description of events.”

York would do the people a favor by stating plainly that the Washington Post lied, if that is so.

Queers are nasty bullies (George Will) djournal.com/opinion/columnists/george-will-when-is-making-a-cake-constitutionally-protected-speech/article_aef74d60-7dfa-54ff-836e-f7f212b5fd9d.html

Will says gay partners were nasty to sic the (erroneous) government on a cake artist who did not want to express his art their way.

Soon the court will realize there’s marriage for procreation.

Duncan nice guy but inadequate for judge (Grace) theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/opinion/stephanie_grace/article_c59cf8cc-d5f5-11e7-953c-0f2dd2093877.html

To David Martin: Working for Buddy Caldwell on Louisiana’s Defense of Marriage Act, Kyle Duncan had the opportunity to bring before the court the fact the couples marry for procreation whereas partners bond for love. At issue is the right and dignity of a spermatozoon-fertilized-ovum to be appreciated by the responsible man and woman; to be gestated and delivered by the mom; coached by the mom and dad from infancy unto young adulthood with understanding and intent to live a full life; and assured his or her child will have personal grandparents if living.

Indeed bonding and procreation are separate human endeavors, but only marriage for procreation is a civic concern: adult bonding brooks no interference. Partners who want their bond certified by the state should have that privilege. But a child should not be subjugated to partners by action of the state.

Duncan was not adequate for the Defense of Marriage challenge, and on his failure came Obergefell vs Hodges.

Defense of Marriage is only one example of religion’s inadequacy in the discovery of civic morality. When Louisiana Family Forum or any other religious institution acts with zeal in public issues, civic morality gets delayed. People who use the Bible as the authority that reduces their human freedom are unable to discover civic morality, and their errors should not be imposed on the people.

Let Duncan’s failure be examined.

BR police chief (theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/news/crime_police/article_e24ab608-d488-11e7-b241-57ccecdf64bd.html)

I oppose favoritism toward communities, so oppose such chief of police.

Police are supposed to respond to crime according to statutory law, and residents are supposed to know and observe statutory law. There’s no place for vigilantism.

More importantly, I oppose The Advocate referring to Together Baton Rouge as a private organization. “Together Baton Rouge (TBR) is part of the Industrial Areas Foundation (IAF)”; togetherbr.org/about. IAF was founded by Saul Alinsky.

Moreover, TBR is a minister’s coalition. People who serve TBR are voluntary slaves to Alinsky-Marxist organization (AMO); industrialareasfoundation.org/ and en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Industrial_Areas_Foundation#Under_Alinsky.

Civic activists should avoid AMO, TBR, IAF, and OFA like the plague. The human being is born to be free, not a volunteer for someone else’s plans for them.

Phil Beaver does not “know” the-indisputable-facts. He trusts and is committed to the-objective-truth of which most is undiscovered and some is understood. He is agent for A Civic People of the United States, a Louisiana, education non-profit corporation. See online at promotethepreamble.blogspot.com.
