Phil Beaver seeks to collaborate on the-objective-truth,
which can only be discovered. The comment box below invites readers to write.
"Civic"
refers to citizens who collaborate for responsible freedom more than for the
city.
A personal paraphrase
of the June 21, 1788 preamble: We the civic citizens of nine of the
thirteen United States commit-to and trust-in the purpose and goals stated
herein --- integrity, justice, collaboration, defense, prosperity, liberty, and
perpetuity --- and to cultivate limited services to us by the USA. I am willing
to collaborate with other citizens on this paraphrase, yet may settle on and
would always preserve the original text.
Today’s thought,
G.E. Dean (Mark 5:36 CJB), The Advocate, February 1, 2018, 7B.
“Ignoring what they had said, Yeshua told the synagogue
official, "Don't be afraid, just keep trusting."
Dean says, “You have a choice. Fear or
faith in God. Which will it be?”
I forsake fear and faith for fidelity.

You might be interested in a
scholarly review, such as my favorite starting point: plato.stanford.edu/entries/methodological-individualism/.
However, philosophy scholars’ duty to students is to review reason-based
opinion. I find philosophy-opinion endless.
I like to consider my individual---the
person who has my body and mind. He has the inalienable authority to spend his
energy discovering private preferences. In a trivial example, he prefers dark
chocolate, tolerates milk chocolate, and rejects white chocolate. So far, he prefers doing all he can to help
his family (including himself) and other people enjoy life according to private
dreams.
In pursuing that preference, he
prefers to conform to, respectively, the-objective-truth, his awareness and
understanding, and his view of happiness. Therefore, he never stops listening, reading,
thinking, and writing. He talks and writes to learn---to increase awareness and
understanding.
The-objective-truth exists, and can
only be discovered. However, discovery is often limited by awareness and
understanding. In other words, the more humankind knows, the more they explore.
Also, there is so much to know, the individual cannot possess total awareness
and understanding.
Thus, the individual may invite
awareness and understanding. Whether by the fact that humankind has not yet
discovered an-objective-truth or that the individual is not aware of an-objective-truth,
appreciative human behavior is to admit, “I do not know,” when that is so. Conversely,
the humble individual does not doubt the-objective-truth. For example, the
earth is like a globe. And lying never pays.
If most individuals accepted that
they have the human authority to develop fidelity to the-objective-truth, many might
acquire the judgement by which to avoid infidelity. The collection of humble
individuals, few or many, could help humankind enjoy an achievable, better
future.
The collective goal is private
liberty with civic morality. In other words, individuals collaborating for
individualism.
I hope these ideas seem open-minded
and helpful.
