A personal paraphrase of the June 21, 1788 preamble:  We the civic citizens of nine of the thirteen United States commit-to and trust-in the purpose and goals stated herein --- integrity, justice, collaboration, defense, prosperity, liberty, and perpetuity --- and to cultivate limited services to us by the USA. I am willing to collaborate with other citizens on this paraphrase, yet may settle on and would always preserve the original text.

Why does The Advocate make it about Obama? This is about the people of South Baton Rouge. Who is Gov. Edwards working for? Obama?

Today’s thought, G.E. Dean (Leviticus 17:11 CJB), The Advocate, February 9, 2018, 7B.

" For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for yourselves; for it is the blood that makes atonement because of the life.” And Leviticus 17:14 is like it: “For the life of every creature - its blood is its life. Therefore I said to the people of Isra'el, 'You are not to eat the blood of any creature, because the life of every creature is its blood. Whoever eats it will be cut off.”

Dean says, “In the New Testament, Jesus, the Son of God, shed His blood so that we could be forgiven. Praise the Lord!”

On considering Exodus 20:7, “You are not to use lightly the name of ADONAI your God, because ADONAI will not leave unpunished someone who uses his name lightly,” following Dean’s hubris is a step I cannot take.

But I do not object to Dean’s choices for Dean, as long as his thoughts, words, and actions do not cause actual harm. If actual harm caused by him is discovered, he must be constrained by statutory law that is unimpeded by religion.

The Advocate could keep readers informed on both sides of religion’s attack on justice rather than drip out Dean’s mysteries every day.

Be self-reliant and develop fidelity to the-objective-truth: Make certain what you want to do conforms to the-objective-truth rather than society.

  
The-objective-truth exists and humankind works to discover and benefit from it. So far, there’s been about 8 trillion person-years of discovery, and much of it is imaginary. Yet the volume of discovered-objective-truth is astounding. Neither person nor institution has the complete picture. Not only that, it seems that the remaining unknowns exceed what is known.

To give some perspective, the earth is like a globe rather than flat. The earth rotates toward the east giving the equatorial perception that the sun comes up each day and sets each evening. People who lie cannot communicate. On the other hand the non-existence of extraterrestrial life has not been discovered.

Each human being has the inalienable authority for how its person thinks, speaks, and acts. Neither God nor government usurps a person’s opportunity to develop judgment about how to best use his or her window of life—-perhaps some 90 years at the edge of the 8 trillion person-years that have passed.

Fortunate is the person who discovers that rewarding life comes when he or she develops fidelity to the-objective-truth. Since of the-objective-truth has not been discovered, I write about an intention more than a continuous achievement. Perhaps, the ultimate fidelity comes by conforming to the-discovered-objective-truth and the theory created by the interconnected discoveries.

The human, born totally uninformed, is, both physically and psychologically, the most powerful being known. Consequently, it takes about three decades for a person to acquire the knowledge, comprehension, and understanding to intend to live a full life. Unfortunately, he or she is born into a confused, conflicted world. The presence of people who seek to do harm is accepted, tolerated, and promoted by competitive societies. Cultures have developed in isolation and fear. Therefore, only by personal attraction to the-objective-truth, or by coaching by someone with that attraction, will a person trust and commit to the-objective-truth. It seems that such a person intentionally works to neither impose nor tolerate harm.

If in every thought, every word, and every action, the person intends no harm, he or she establishes the potential to live a near-perfect life. Discovering another human who intends fidelity to the-objective-truth enhances the possibilities more than two-fold. Despite the chaos we observe in 2018, I think there are many couples who practice such intentions and contribute to many no-harm associations.

The person who develops fidelity to the-objective-truth accepts that he or she is living on the leading edge of civic morality rather than in a tradition.
