"Civic"
refers to citizens who collaborate for responsible freedom more than for the
city.
A personal paraphrase of the June 21, 1788 preamble: We
the civic citizens of nine of the thirteen United States commit-to and trust-in
the purpose and goals stated herein --- integrity, justice, collaboration,
defense, prosperity, liberty, and perpetuity --- and to cultivate limited
services to us by the USA. I am willing to collaborate with other citizens
on this paraphrase, yet may settle on and would always preserve the original
text.

I agree.
The Advocate must know something they are not
reporting. For all I have read, Schedler is a victim of his own passions,
whetted by a consensual relationship until the other party found something
better.
There is a concept of common-law marriage, and only a
court proceeding could unravel the justice in the case of two single adults in
a long term relationship gone sour. Without a doubt, if one party wants a
divorce, the other must face the personal preference.
All these years, I have wanted to trust Schedler, but
somehow was reluctant. If the court concludes he deserves more than divorce and
settlement, I would not vote for him again. But I do not want the state to
spend the money to force an elected official out before the next election.
The entire #metoo movement has a taint of 1949 Kinsey
Report to it. Women dress to compete with each other for men’s attention for
the woman’s personal gain. Some use the male relationships they developed to
ruin the male.
Also published in 1949, H. A. Overstreet’s “The Mature
Mind,” was reprinted 17 times until he and his became involved in “adult
education” and eventually retired from voluntary work.
For our generation, people who would like to avoid
Schedler’s sad situation might read Overstreet. If anyone knows of an update of
Overstreet’s 1949 gift, please inform me.
I’m concerned that The Advocate is so aggressive in
the dispute. Why not let the justice system work? It should be well known that
I do not trust my political, hometown newspaper.
Today’s thought, G.E. Dean (Mark 9:22-24 CJB), The Advocate,
February 3, 2018, 5B.
“. . . if you can
do anything, have pity on us and help us! Yeshua said to him, "What do you mean,
`if you can'? Everything is possible to someone who has trust!" Instantly
the father of the child exclaimed, "I do trust -- help my lack of
trust!"
Dean says, “Are
you struggling with your faith? Pray the prayer above.”
The world is waiting for peace. Humankind is perhaps 3 million years
old and Christianity 1700 years old as we know them. So far, establishing peace
has not been done. I think each individual has the authority to behave for civic
morality, so peace can only come from most of the collective people.

The principles
being taught by the Racial Empowerment Collaborative seem well intention.
However, they serve to "expand and entrench"* the black and brown
coalition against the white and red (even though Stevenson tries to incorporate
the red without a representative).
The idea that
Christianity promises black revenge in the afterdeath is especially egregious
for me, even though I do not object to Stevenson's beliefs as long as they do
not cause harm. I guess this principle plays for 18th century African
slave-sales or modern American black vigilantism: black on black practices.
I commend the
coalition to change their work to Civic Empowerment Collaborative, where civic
collaboration aims for private liberty with public justice. In a civic culture,
every race and every no-harm religion flourishes. Civic people develop fidelity
to the-objective-truth and each new day recall: in every thought, every word,
and every action, I will first do no harm. This is a commitment more than a
mere intention. If the individual imagines harm yet thinks action is in order,
he or she consults with involved persons before acting.
The individual
commitment "First do no harm" was described on February 2, 2018 on
our blog, promotethepreamble.blogspot.com/. We write to learn and perhaps
collaborate, so if you read, please comment.
