Phil Beaver works to establish opinion when
the-objective-truth has not been discovered. He seeks to refine his opinion by
listening when people share experiences and observations. The comment box below
invites readers to write.
Note 1: I often dash
words in phrases in order to express and preserve an idea. For example, frank-objectivity
represents the idea of candidly expressing the-objective-truth despite possible
error. In other words, a person expresses his “belief,” knowing he or she could
be in error. People may collaboratively approach the-objective-truth. Note 2: It is important to note "civic" refers to citizens who collaborate for the people more than for the city.
A personal paraphrase
of the preamble by & for Phil Beaver: We the willing people of nine of
the thirteen United States commit to and trust in the purpose and goals
stated herein --- integrity, justice, collaboration, defense, prosperity,
liberty, and perpetuity --- and to cultivate limited services by the USA, beginning
on June 21, 1788.
Composing their own paraphrase, citizens may consider the actual preamble
and perceive whether they are willing or dissident toward its agreement.
I think the proposed tax would help the NBR hotel tax in two
ways: 1) the improvement in visitor traffic due to more funding for Visit BR,
and 2) leveling the competition respecting hotel tax. If I am correct, people
who support NBR hotels may vote “yes” today.
The Advocate, locally owned, may choose to be an oddity: a free
and responsible press. I suggest civic citizens to encourage that choice by
becoming full-subscribers as they perceive The Advocate has a free and
responsible policy. I think The Advocate leans toward promoting
liberal-democracy rather than collaborating for statutory law that promotes
civic peace through responsible personal liberty.
“Civic citizens” are those who, in collaboration for
civic peace, trust and commit to the public agreement that is offered in the
preamble to the constitution for the USA. Study and write a paraphrase, then
return to the original with a new perspective. My current paraphrase is: We civic people of the United States voluntarily commit
to and trust in the purpose and goals stated herein --- integrity,
justice, collaboration, defense, prosperity, liberty, and perpetuity --- and to
cultivate limited services for the people in their states by the USA, established
on June 21, 1788. People who, for their reasons decline the agreement stated in
the literal preamble seem like dissidents to civic peace.
I appreciate The
Advocate’s appeal for, “voters to cast an informed ballot today.” I have
suggested several times that public issues affect not only voters, but all
citizens. All citizens have the opportunity to personally supervise their
governance, by voting in their personal favor. I further suggest that as often
as possible The Advocate use, “civic citizens” rather than “voters,” so as to
be more inclusive.
Today’s thought,
G.E. Dean (Exodus 9:16 CJB)
“But it is for this very reason that I have kept you alive
-to show you my power, and so that my name may resound throughout the whole
earth.”
Dean says “God is on the throne and he has a plan. God wins?”
Ideas like either Dean’s or the committee on Exodus, help me
trust-in and commit-to the-objective-truth, which can only be
discovered---cannot be imagined then constructed on reason. “God on the throne?”
Are you kidding me? God impressed by thrones? No way, in my opinion: I know I do not know the-objective-truth. I
leave God’s opinions and claims to God---neither Dean nor the committee on
Exodus.

Guns for hunting and self-defense (Robins-Brown) (theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/opinion/letters/article_6152a82a-ca57-11e7-b756-376229f84eea.html)
Again, The
Advocate allows a writer to express ignorance so that public-information may
flow. Opinion that was ratified in 1791 was updated in 2008.
The pertinent
opinion on gun ownership for hunting and self-defense was rendered in 2008 by
the Supreme Court. See law.cornell.edu/supct/html/07-290.ZO.html.

With some help I might have
looked at Halpern’s reference, but I’m busy. I like his points, though, and
hope Fagan responds.

I agree:
for making sense, there are few writers as bad as Gerson.

the Christian public charades (Cal Thomas)

“Religious
[believers] long ago stopped preaching a gospel of personal salvation in favor
of a social gospel that is more social than gospel.”
“Real transformation of
individuals and thus societies [may] be achieved only by a changed [intention
to fidelity], which is the work of [civic people].” For civic justice,
it’s fidelity to the-objective-truth; for responsible believers it’s fidelity
to their personal hopes.
For civic justice, it’s fidelity to the-objective-truth; responsible
believers, include fidelity to their personal hopes, such as favorable afterdeath.
President Trump’s first anniversary (David Shribman)
post-gazette.com/opinion/david-shribman/2017/11/08/Shaken-and-stirred-America-after-one-year-of-President-Trump/stories/201711080150
Shribman lives in his mind to think
that before President Trump American politics was a “manicured lawn with a
well-lit walkway.” And press writers, with immunity, have been delivering
invectives “forever.”
Egregiously, Shribman delivers his
own invective in “the age . . . of the clenched jaw.” Liberal-democratic
writers identify themselves with ad hominem attacks.
President Trump is doing a great job,
and fellow-citizen Trump civically expresses himself.

American retreat? Are you kidding
me? President Trump tells foreign leaders all of the world, “We are not going
to meddle in your affairs, but we expect civic results from you.”
Civic citizens approve of the USA
not being either the policeman of the world or the savior of the world. Yet we
collaborate for mutual, comprehensive safety and
security, in other words, civic peace.
Phil Beaver does not “know”
the-indisputable-facts. He trusts and is committed to the-objective-truth of which
most is undiscovered and some is understood. He is agent for A Civic People of
