Our
Views. I applaud The Advocate’s stand, and encourage even
more explicit words and phrases to prompt citizens to examine personal
behavior.
At stake is this republic: representative governance
under the rule of statutory law. Some laws do not reflect civic justice, but
they can only be changed in iterative-collaboration by a civic people.
With the public lack of attention to the three
branches of federal government, about all that is intact of the US Constitution
is the preamble. Citizens may review it, paraphrase it, and practice it for a
possible better future. A civic culture seeks
broadly-defined-civic-safety-and-security, hereafter Security, so that each
person may pursue real-no-harm private-liberty according to their hopes and
dreams rather than someone else’s opinion about “happiness.”
“Democracy” is a vague word, and the chaos we have
been experiencing is liberal democracy. The liberal democrat wants what he or
she wants and demands it now. During the past five decades the USA has suffered
the expansion of liberal democracy under movements inspired by Saul Alinsky’s
experiences and writing for disruption leading to chaos. Blindly supporting
immigration is a current focus. Immigrants should be required to paraphrase the
preamble and declare their trust in and commitment to its civic agreement. IMO,
nothing else about the constitution matters, because it has all regressed and
must be restored to the intended path for these times (2302 years later).
Consider the end-goals of the organization that bids
for your support. If you can discern expense and risk to you then nothing but
conflict for the rest of your life, it is probably a group using Alinsky’s
rules for radicals; in may have no civically-moral aims. In other words, the
only cause is conflict itself. The best source I have found for comprehension

Today’s thought. Paul suggests
useful issues: right v wrong and understanding v ignorance. However, Dean practices
arrogance to encourage judging people’s hearts. The clergy have uncanny will to
rebuke one author for another.

I think egregiously, ignores Matthew’s thought (7:1), “Do not
judge, or you too will be judged.” IMO, the clergy don’t take messages
seriously, and people do themselves a favor when they study all literature that
interests them, and follow their own common sense.
The
other day, a lady told me when the priest speaks nonsense she thinks her own
thoughts. I said, “You have the psychological power to perfect your unique
person.”
Obamacare
(Hale). Hale forgot to mention the perversion of the Democratic
Party’s great 2010 statement, ““we have to pass the bill so that you can
find out what is in it.”
Immigration
(Roosevelt). Like Trump, Roosevelt worked for the civic people. The
purpose and aims are stated in one civic sentence, the preamble: “We the
[Civic] People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union,
establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence,
promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves
and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United
States of America.”
When this sentence was signed on September 17, 1787, 1/3 of the states’ representatives were dissident: did not sign.

Citizens either both trust and commit to this civic
agreement or are dissidents. Dissidents include people who are ignorant,
opposed, criminal, evil, or otherwise alien to civic morality.
If Trump is not serving the civic people, who are defined by
the preamble, he may reform as soon as he is made aware of the failure. But I
hope and think he is serving the people who , aware or not, attend to the
preamble. Immigrants should be required to paraphrase the preamble and swear to
trust and commit to its goals.
Liberal democrats want to change America without
collaboration with other citizens. They’ve been at it under Saul Alinsky’s
influence for over fifty years. They envision philanthropy, but do not accept
that Alinsky wanted endless conflict and said so. Obama is still available to
speak for what he represents. Obama has stated many times---he acts for his
opinion as to what is best for the American people. Now that a civic people is
onto their MOO, dissidents who do not belong in jail would be wise to join the
ineluctable march toward public-integrity---in other words, Security.

Harrop column. I agree that Trump’s candid confrontation
toward the liberal-democrat-media is a short term boon to media business plans.
However, IMO, the beg long-term woe and often woe comes in unexpected ways and
times. I think all liberal democrats would serve themselves well by getting on
board with public-integrity.

Grace column. I prefer what Cassidy’s crowd at Assumption
Parish town hall (page 1B) discussed with Cassidy to the liberal-democrat-amorality
expressed in Metairie. Liberal democrats have no self-respect. Grace’s vision
of Cassidy morphing into a political-freak is plain sick.
Michael
J. Petrilli guest column. “tied for first place in math gains.” When you are in a
group that is 48th of 50 in a country that is perhaps 25th,
being first in gain may not move the needle respecting status. However, being
first of 50 in gain is the right direction. Louisiana initially targeted 35% of
gain as a contributor to school grade. Last week, it seemed it had dropped back
to 25%. I hope it ends above 35%.

Williams column. I
have not read a Williams column I did not like.
Applying the principles in this column, I’d prefer to
pay for a wall at the Mexican boarder for three reasons: 1) to curtail illegal
employment of Mexicans in America, 2) to stop the coyote system that transports
illegal aliens from the globe to the southern Mexican border, through Mexico to
the USA, and 3) to stop the flow of drugs across the Mexican border.
I regard the fence as an object of American interest
to protect American peoples’ Security.

says (Page 1B). Homeowners should be self-reliant in
deciding how high they want the house elevated.
Graves
(Page 1B). I wonder if Graves’ still starts meetings
with an introduction by the clergy. I hope not but am not holding my breath.
Edwards
to DC (Page 4B). I hope Edwards does not review his
allegiance to the pope during his visit with President Trump.
Education
delay (Page 4B). Edwards should stop trying to favor
adult satisfactions at the expense of children.
Bomb
threats (Page 4B). I recall someone who threatened LSU
was caught. Hopefully the terrible threateners will be caught this time.
Broome
(Page 7A). IMO, the caption expresses a
contradiction. What Broome promised is church and racism rather than necessary
behavioral-reform.
Budget
(Page 1A). Good grief am I out of date! From $28.3
billion to $29.7 billion when it should be $18 billion increasing to $18.5 billion.
I’m reminded of the medical-insurance report that says services were $80,000
for which insurance paid $11,000. I ask, who absorbed the $69,000 loss? All I
can say is: What audacity; it’s got to stop.
DA

abuse.
Marijuana
crackdown (Page 2A). Good.
Private
prisons (Page 2A). Judging from Louisiana management,
private business looks great.
Illegals
crackdown (Page 3A). I cannot imagine the pain and misery
of illegal status. Shame on the philanthropists who supported illegal
immigration. Such philanthropists are in direct conflict with the civic
morality stated in the preamble to the constitution for the USA.
Medical
marijuana (Page 8A). I witnessed for this action, saying
I wanted it for children. I said since it was not FDA approved it should be put
on the shelf at $70/month instead of perhaps thousands. Turns out I could be an
adult beneficiary---may have unknowingly lobbied in my own interest.
Protesters
(Page 9A). When violent language is expected,
don’t try to conduct a meeting. Violent talk is a form of lying and civic
people do not lie: they know communication cannot occur without integrity.
Honesty is insufficient: there must be mutual integrity. Civic talk is not an
activity that is appropriate for bravery against the threat of violence.
