Phil Beaver works to establish opinion when the-objective-truth has not been discovered. He seeks to refine his opinion by listening when people share experiences and observations. The comment box below invites readers to express facts, opinion, or concern, perhaps to share with people who may follow the blog.

Note 1:  I often dash words in phrases in order to express and preserve an idea. For example, frank-objectivity represents the idea of candidly expressing the-objective-truth despite possible error. In other words, a person expresses his “belief,” knowing he or she could be in error. People may collaboratively approach the-objective-truth.
Note 2: It is important to note "civic" refers to citizens who collaborate for the people more than for the city.

The Advocate bills another experiment with children as "a big advance" for adults in charge.

My teachers and education beginning in the early 50s was great also because I wanted to learn. Yet I regret that my nation did not realize that every child has the potential to be elite and therefore assure each one an elite education.

John White might say I’m just jealous of the STEM friends in my class who attended Georgia Tech or the affluent friends who attended Webb School instead of Staub School. Or the elite neighbor who went to Groton then Yale. In my eighth decade, I do not feel envy: I feel sorrow over the barbaric abuse of children in America. We’re perhaps 22th in the world, and at perhaps 46th among states, Louisiana holds perhaps 1010th world ranking.

Education needs to be turned upside down so that the nation’s objective is to empower every willing child to perceive he or she may perfect their unique person if they take charge of learning, comprehending, understanding, and intent to live a full life of some ninety years.

Today’s thought, G.E. Dean (Revelations 3:19-20, CJB). “I rebuke and discipline everyone I love; so exert yourselves, and turn from your sins!  Here, I’m standing at the door, knocking. If someone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he will eat with me.”

Dean says “Count it a privilege if God is speaking to you. Open your heart to Him now.”

I see an example of coercion. If you perceive guilt, which is practically a condition of being human, it is because God loves you and wants you to not to repeat the error that invoked the guilt. Good logic for promoting good behavior.

But what about the case wherein the guilt is inculcated by an intellectual construct that humans created because they know the power of this psychology. Take for example, the formula of original sin and potential damnation.

Or take the case of “white privilege.” I grew up overcoming my low status and am the only one of three siblings that obtained a degree from college. I was too busy coming up to take charge of anyone else. I never regarded black neighbors as less than me and celebrated the civil rights acts of 1964-5 as freedom at last. I have studied the question and see African slavery as the product of Bible interpretation that begins with canonization by the Church in 300 AD to 400 AD. No one can impose guilt for slavery on me, and I have no desire to reform the Bible.

Thanks for a first-hand view: Health care in Canada ruins the cost of living there, with, for example, $6/gal gas. (Let’s pass a $0.2/gal tax and restore I-10/I-12 parking lots to roads.)

ACA is very popular (Sickels). (theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/opinion/letters/article_a3a92c06-5853-11e7-ab9d-cf7caeb6654f.html)

According to polls, including the popular vote, Hillary Clinton shud be president. Other polls show that resentment for the USA's republic instead of democracy is strong. We need to get back to common sense: Polls, much like "social science", are propaganda tools.

ACA is good to physicians but very bad for patients.

The media think public opinion controls public policy and the media control public opinion and thus both the GOP and the DNC. They care nothing for the rule of law.

Research shows Trump tweets are very popular among the people.

Hypocrisy (Froma Harrop). creators.com/read/froma-harrop/06/17/morality-tale-at-uber-reputation-still-counts

I’m just glad I was not in Harrop’s shoes as she wrote, “Big business may be one of the few gatekeepers for public decency left.”
See for example, “Standard Oil et al. did not really favor "free enterprise." They favored their continuation as competition-killing monopolies.” See laconiadailysun.com/special-sections/columns/13258-froma-harrop--little-guy . Some writers write freely.

Labeling Robert E Lee et. al. as Jim Crow personalities (Stephanie Grace). theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/opinion/stephanie_grace/article_962b00f4-5c9a-11e7-a7a6-976fcff1b619.html

To label commemorations of Beauregard, Davis and Lee as “Jim Crow-era monuments,” is a low act, whether Grace, The Advocate or someone else is in charge of it.

I commend The Advocate to fire Grace for disdain for civic readers and commend her to seek a new career where dehumanization is acceptable. Maybe AMO agent would do.

I nominate this as the most appreciated column of 2017, so far, and want to share some of its thoughts:

Testable propositions, from perspectives outside the USA: “(1) Economic and cultural power is no substitute for military power. (2) Weakness breeds contempt. (3) The West preached openness as the way for China and other Asian nations to absorb advanced technology and Western know-how. But the West exploited that openness to create dependence. (4) Networks of aid and assistance are good covers for expanding influence and military power. (5) The United States argues that transparency and an international rules-based order are the best guarantee of security for all sides. But what this really means, through modern history, is that the United States makes the rules and others obey the orders.”

Perhaps Ignatius has expressed why wise foreign leaders embrace President Trump’s policy of comprehensive safety and security for the American people and expresses the expectation that they will act in the interests of their people.

I do not know if this is counter to Graham Alison’s book, “Destined for War,” or not.

Illegal immigrant law (Page 1A). bostonglobe.com/news/nation/2017/06/29/house-votes-end-some-federal-funds-for-sanctuary-cities/WbfTE7qRNwK9oJNDqAYjBL/story.html

Rep. Zoe Lofgren, D-Calif, raised the liberal-democrat, weak argument that the USA attempts to tell states the USA knows better, as though that was not by design.

Lofgren was sent to W.DC without the qualifications to uphold the articles and amendments that follow the preamble to the constitution for the USA.

The preamble is a civic agreement by willing people to iteratively collaborate to discover and apply the justice that empowers comprehensive safety and security. The civic agreement divides the people into the willing and dissidents. One third of delegates to Philadelphia did not sign on September 17, 1787 and thus declared they were dissidents. Don M. opined that in 2017 the people are divided 1/3 dissidents, 1/3 passives, and 1/3 civic, where “civic” means citizens who collaborate for civic justice.

By reading, understanding, paraphrasing for 2017 living, then restating the original preamble, each person may decide if they are a dissident or not. Many people miss the word “posterity,” which for the willing means “my children, my grandchildren and beyond,” as well as the nation’s future people. “Unity” might be thought of as “integrity.” In other words, the preamble is a personal and private trust with commitment to fidelity.

Lofgren perhaps does not understand James Madison’s Federalist 10, one of the most quoted of the Federalist papers. In the federalist system, elected officials who serve/disserve the people in their states may develop the wisdom to serve the nation, which is a republic, not a democracy.

The Congress has two legislative bodies, designed to disrupt majority rule or democracy. The House has 435 seats, assigned according to number of citizens. With 320 million citizens, there’s one representative per 735,000 people. With a population of 39 million, California to has 53 representatives. Wyoming, with about 0.6 million citizens, has only one representative. However, every state has two Senators. Bills have to pass both the House and the Senate to be sent to the President for veto consideration. These are just a few of the preventions of majority rule or pure democracy in the USA. (State elections are by pure democracy, but states vary on elected vs appointed officials. State constitutions differ but do not conflict the preamble and its articles and amendments in the constitution for the USA.)

Willing people in their state elect US representatives and senators who are qualified to serve the nation. Because they neglect the preamble, many people fail this duty to themselves, and intentionally or not are dissidents to their own civic governance.

It seems to me Lofgren is a dissident against the preamble.

Naturally, Baton Rouge influencers such as BRAF and its capital business want to compete with New Orleans for Louisiana revenues. New Orleans plans to begin construction of a $100,000 facility this year.

However, BR General’s withdrawal from plans for a proton therapy facility for the SE medical corridor ought not be taken lightly by the Louisiana Legislature and Administration. Ochsner’s views should be considered in the Legislative debate.

Comprehensive safety and security for citizens is at risk when state funds are dedicated to boondoggles, especially in the expensive medical industry.

How many incidents in 2013 to 2015 drew the 2016 ding (tiresome reiteration---thank you Terry Jones and The Advocate)?

It seems Gov. Edwards has the propriety to support another cottage industry---at the expense of the people’s bodily safety and security as well as subsidy to “free” enterprise.

Trump tweets (Page 3A). latimes.com/politics/la-na-pol-trump-mika-tweets-20170629-story.html

Writer Brian Bennett seems to perceive a career from opinions about Donald Trump’s personal life. By day, Trump is the President of the United States. On his free time, he tweets aggressive people. Trump has proven success in his choice of targets, and some targets want revenge.

However, possible aggressors (they know themselves) may respond by reforming their behavior.

If the media agreed that George Washington is the father of the USA, as I think, they might review his June 8, 1783 message to citizens:

There are four things, which I humbly conceive, are essential to the well being, I may even venture to say, to the existence of the United States as an Independent Power:  An indissoluble Union of the States under one Federal Head; A Sacred regard to Public Justice; The adoption of a proper Peace Establishment; and The prevalence of that pacific and friendly Disposition, among the People of the United States, which will induce them to forget their local prejudices and policies, to make those mutual concessions which are requisite to the general prosperity, and in some instances, to sacrifice their individual advantages to the interest of the Community.

Washington’s words came after the war was won, and soon the King of England would agree that the thirteen states were free and independent, naming each of them in the Treaty of Paris, 1783.

On September 17, 1787, Washington had presided and was among the 2/3 of states representatives who signed the preamble to the constitution for the USA and its draft articles. That left 1/3 dissidents. On June 21, 1788, nine of thirteen states established the USA, and we dub that anniversary Personal Independence Day to commemorate and celebrate the preamble, perhaps the world's greatest civic sentence. Soon, the USA will celebrate 230 years of dominance by the dissidents yet a persistent march by the people toward ultimate justice (borrowing words by Abraham Lincoln, 1863).

Among the failures of the constitution is a means of limiting freedom of the press. There have been commissions that would self-direct the press, but self-regulation did not work. The press today is out of control and dangerous. That is being made evident by a man with the propriety to call for integrity. When people approach him with integrity, they receive integrity. When they choose aggression, they receive aggression. Neither the press, nor the Democrats, nor the Republicans possess the propriety that is required to serve the people.

Public integrity is a voluntary trust and commitment. It is offered to willing people by the preamble. Its content continuously delivers George Washington’s message of June 8, 1783. President Donald Trump, intentionally or not, calls attention to the fact that the USA’s purpose and goals are to serve a willing people as specified in the civic agreement that is the preamble to the constitution for the USA. Trump may also take the preamble for granted, but I’d need to learn that from him.

If so, attention to the preamble’s goals is the intent of those of us who voted for Donald Trump in our state primary and in the presidential election. In our intent, the press, the Democrats, and the Republicans may reform or not, but justice will ultimately prevail by the actions of the people.

Italy’s plight (Page 12A). abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/eu-backs-support-italy-struggling-migrants-48346020

When the chips are down, liberal democrats, socialists, and communists---perhaps EU members who are also laggards in NATO---turn their backs on the nations that are vulnerable to economic refugees: Greece and Italy.

That’s how Alinsky-Marxist organizations (AMO) work, too. When the protestors get caught in emotions and passions that emote violence and consequential misery and loss, the AMO bosses are in their offices. Governments that respond to AMO bosses exacerbate the problem.

In Baton Rouge, the principal AMO or IAF affiliate is Together Baton Rouge. Minister’s coalitions intend to circumvent the rule of law. Sanctuary movements aim to defeat the civic order. A willing people may constrain philanthropic businesses, such as the Church.

President Trump, in his immigration actions, is acting for comprehensive safety and security for willing citizens of the USA. Dissenters beg woe, which does not yield to emotions, even those of the party left holding the fruits of injustice.

quora.com/What-is-coercion-How-is-it-implemented/

Coercion is force applied by persuading the subject that action is needed to avoid misery, loss, or doom.

For example, waterboarding creates the impression of drowning and is thus existing misery and threat of death if the subject does not answer questions.

Kidnapping for ransom is coercion.

In Christianity, the subject receives the formula, simplified: original sin, eternal doom, personal conviction, acceptance of Christ as personal savior, and salvation of the soul. Believers pay to maintain their own coercion. Only a dreamer may imagine reducing the power of such coercion. See Machiavelli: The Prince: Chapter XI .

Alinsky-Marxist organizations (AMO) persuade people that they are oppressed and convince them to obstruct daily lives of the accused oppressors in order to get relief from the oppression. Often, emotions and passions lead to violence. When the accused ask for relief, AMO steps forward to announce that they can end the disruptions provided the accused cooperates with AMO.

“Great” comes from propriety I don’t possess.

MWW and two daughters are baseball fans, so my propriety is provincial. I could muster “memorable” and "Guess MWW was correct all along."

It's a shame I’m stuck with peanuts and Cracker-Jacks, but there's worse.

Today’s thought, G.E. Dean (Revelation 3:15-16, CJB). “I know what you are doing: you are neither cold nor hot. How I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm, neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of my mouth!”

Dean says “Don’t go halfway with the Lord. Give him your all.”

As usual, Dean is selective, some might say blasphemous to the literature he is quoting. The evidence shows Dean represents Dean. Apparently, collaboration with Dean is good for The Advocate.

I like most of the comments that came earlier.

It seems to me Louisiana’s appropriations session just ended, so I don’t understand the purpose here.

However, I people shouldn’t procreate if they are not dedicated to the person they conceive, gestate, and deliver. (Tacit is the bond with the father unto grandchildren.)

I am reminded of my smoking days, when it was obvious I had cigarettes in my shirt pocket. A free-smoker would approach me: “Got a cigarette?” If he or she lingered with some small talk, I expected, “Got a light?” Sometimes I’d flip my Zippo and ask, “Want me to kick you in the chest to get you started?” It’s a dry objection I learned from other cigarette buyers. I dropped out in 1972, because the inspector general told me I was cutting five years from my life. After thirty-five years lung cancer came, but thanks to doctors---Gahan, Hodges, Bringaze, MCClelland, Miletello, other doctors and staffs, and MWW---I am cancer free.

When couples or others conceive without caring about the person conceived, the person suffers, but people who step forward to say, “I’ll cover you on this,” exacerbate the injustice.

It makes no sense to sacrifice lives for the sake of the casino and bar business-opinion. Especially when a popular beer hall reports increased income after they voluntarily banned smoking in 2015.
What was more important to Mayor Broome last night?
Secondary smoke causes 41,000 deaths per year in the USA. That’s 50 lives per year in Baton Rouge! But not everybody goes to bars and casinos, so maybe the pertinent number is 25 deaths/year. Also, not everybody dies from their secondary-smoke maladies.
It’s barbaric to knowingly sacrifice people to a business.

To John Schmeeckle: The Declaration of Independence served its purpose. It is obsolete respecting comprehensive safety and security. The thirteen colonies declared they were states, fought the war, partnered with France in their Second Hundred Years War with England, accepted Cornwallis’s surrender at Yorktown, and negotiated the Treaty of Paris, 1783. The treaty names the thirteen independent states. Independence of the thirteen states is history.

Comprehensive safety and security is introduced by the preamble to the constitution for the USA, signed on September 17, 1787 and ratified by nine of thirteen states on June 21, 1788, establishing the USA, the world’s first nation for the people more than the government. The other four states eventually ratified the preamble on agreement to amend the draft with a Bill of Rights. The articles of the constitution have subsequently been amended 17 times after the Bill of Rights that was ratified on December 15, 1791. Willing people’s trust and commitment in the preamble remain unchanged and I assert are inalienable even if neglected. To put this another way, Personal Independence Day, June 21, 1788, is essential to National Independence Day, July 4, 1776.

“On topic,” for the propriety to discuss God with a human being, a person may admit to self that he or she doesn’t know that God exists—only hopes. Otherwise, the person dehumanizes—or attempts to deify—self and takes unneeded risk. James Madison took such risks more than others. See Memorial and Remonstrance, June 8, 1785 and his thoughts on citizenship: first a person has to be a theist.

Admission to authority beyond self does not infer that it is wrong to hope the beliefs a person pursues conform to the-objective-truth. But it admits to the possibility that God, whatever that is, has independent thoughts. That is, what a person hoped for may emerge as the unexpected. For all I know, in my immediate afterdeath I will be judged by Jesus. I am prepared for that possibility, even though I doubt it.

Two persons may agree to discuss God, much as two people agree to attend a play or concert and discuss its meaning. However, they need to be in agreement that the purpose is to collaborate for living rather than to coerce or attempt to force opinion or proselytize the other party.

In agreement, the first step may be for each party to define “God.” I’m influenced by Plato to say that my meaning of “God” is “good,” and good is a satisfactory topic—no need to equivocate “good.” I prefer to trust and commit to discovering comprehensive safety and security among citizens rather than exploring the mysteries of human constructs, such as monotheism. For example, I’d like to discuss the education of children rather than the theory of “Star Wars,” the movie, or the factional theories of monotheism as expressed by Jews, Christians, and Muslims.

Of course, the western thinkers prior to September 17, 1787* did not have the benefit of Albert Einstein or “Star Wars.” However, they debated the African slave trade that was “authorized” by the Church and is yet erroneously condoned in the Bible. Like all humans, they had the psychological power to observe that if they lied to themselves, they lied to humankind. Therefore, they are without excuse if they did not admit that each person only hoped their factional God existed. Albert Einstein is exemplary in that he said we do not lie to each other so that we may communicate rather than to observe a divine rule. See the Einstein essay that is published at samharris.org/blog/item/my-friend-einstein .

However, it is not essential for willing citizens to share regard for religion, a private interest or not, any more than regard for symphonic music, in order to collaborate for comprehensive safety and security. Your claim that this phrase is not novel or common is erroneous, and you have yet to admit to or consider the modifier “comprehensive.”

*That’s the date the preamble to the constitution for the USA was signed by 2/3 of the thirteen independent states’ representatives, only 12 states represented.

The Advocate comments on reports of regress. When there is regress, continuous improvement is negated: continual improvement is the best hope.

However, lack of progress since 2014 is barbaric. Today’s children are being abused by Louisiana education---the 1300th best in the world. Only adults who want to keep on riding the children’s future would defend such dismal performance. Or maybe it’s people who have the propriety to excuse the people in charge no matter how bad the children’s outcomes are. That’s typical social morality.

I think Louisiana’s education system should be turned upside down so that children rather than adults are the persons who benefit. I’m not talking about replacing educators and their administrators but am talking about in-service training that effects a step-change for the better.

Starting from kindergarten, provide for each child the continuing opportunity to take charge of their transition from uniformed person to young adult armed with the understanding and intent to live a full life. I am an educator only to the extent that in my eighth decade, 74 years old, I understand why I want to live a full life. Educators would need to design the coaching system I envision.

During K-12 coach each willing child through personal autonomy and collaborative association into public integrity: contributions-to or cooperation-with comprehensive safety and security so that each person may pursue the responsible happiness they perceive during each decade of their quest for their unique personal perfection.

As always, dissenters are constrained and encouraged to collaborate for civic morality. Every no-harm religion or none may flourish. Is humankind psychologically powerful enough for this way of living? Yes; but most people have never imagined it.

Every newborn has the potential to emerge an elite person. Therefore, Louisiana has the obligation to offer each one an elite education.

To Thomas Winn: I'm aware of the problem.

However, I write to share my thoughts, notwithstanding the problems of writing: conform to the reader's expectations even though few/none of them expect your thoughts; don't write with integrity, because propriety calls for sympathy regardless of the-objective-truth; be brief, even though readers may not comprehend your word choices.

I write/speak to express my ideas. People who don't have time for it don't read/listen, and I don't object. A few read and mark "like" on some posts. A few listen and want to know more.

Today’s thought, G.E. Dean (Revelation 2:29, CJB). ““Those who have ears, let them hear what the Spirit is saying to the Messianic communities.”

Dean says, “Don’t just go to church. Listen to the spirit.”

Dean’s citations and interpretations of them seem mysterious.

I prefer to trust and commit to the-objective-truth of which most is undiscovered and some is understood. I will not again turn my back on the-discovered-truth.

For example, someone who has gum-pain often may totally relieve a health threat by flossing to remove a biological activity due to food stuck between teeth and gums. Angina can often be relieved by 1) slowing down current activity and/or 2) breathing more deeply. Blood viscosity may be reduced by drinking more water. Medical services may be used in both examples, but the person’s behavior is more than four times more effective.

Neither papal-opinion nor government control negates the-objective-truth about appreciating personal care as the first requirement for well-being. On the other hand, both medical services and medical insurance industries want all the papa attention and government subsidy they can get. I think self-appreciation is more important to citizens than papal or political imposition.

To John Schmeeckle: Thank you for your comments. I read both of Rogers’ posts, all comments (some needing more attention), and two essays of yours---the academia one and the startingpoints one. Your scholarship seems appreciable.

I think “God Talk” is a private pursuit with no standing in the discovery of civic justice. “Civic” refers to persons who collaborate for comprehensive safety and security more than for other institutional or ideological causes.
I promote the preamble as it is. The constitution for the USA neither modifies nor limits the preamble. Neither government nor God limits the preamble. It is an agreement by willing people in their states to collaborate for the goals stated in the preamble. A civic people amend the articles of the constitution as needed to remedy discovered injustice. Their religious institutions flourish.

Moreover, I paraphrase the preamble with 2017 terms that motivate me to use it without losing the 1787 essence. For example, “more perfect Union” referred to the perpetual commitment by people in 13 states. Now there are people in 50 states (and Puerto Rico wants to be the 51st). But I want a phrase that refers to the people who collaborate for 2017 living. Thus, I use “integrity” rather than “Unity.” It’s only my preference, because I have not yet collaborated with others people. Others might have a better idea. I use “integrity” to mean both understanding and wholeness. ”More perfect integrity,” may not make sense, so I might suggest “promote public integrity.” I want to collaborate with willing people and hope you are willing, because you know so much, have read so much, and care.

I want better than the past and don’t dismiss “common good.” I have a different idea as to what is the common good (also what is general welfare). The term I prefer is “comprehensive safety and security," derived in collaboration with my friend Hugh Finklea. John Locke missed “comprehensive,” perhaps asserting his theism defines the common good. Cicero’s “safety and happiness,” isn’t working. In short, we have no particular desire to be synonymous with writers, old or new. However, we work hard to write ideas scholars may understand and improve through collaboration rather than domination and ridicule (Alinsky Rule No. 5).

The world seems at a nadir of erroneous competition for dominant opinion, especially among the Abrahamic religions. I work to comprehend what the ascent might be. I think the ascent may include ideas that are made possible by American history, derived from its inspiration for independence from England. Otherwise, perhaps ascent could not be emerging in 2017. However, I want to accept and advance America’s potential more than preserve its traditions.

A couple of considerations might help us collaborate. First, it matters not whether a civic person is Christian, Jew, Muslim, other religious, or non-religious. Every civic person has the best possible beliefs for him or her. This is so whether the person is young or old, well or not. Perhaps the American dream is freedom-from tyranny so that each person may acquire the liberty-to perfect his or her unique person.

It is important that someone coaches each newborn to imagine perfecting their unique person. Ralph Waldo Emerson gave that message in “Divinity School Address,” 1838, and he refers to a messenger. If the person’s unique quest is promising, their religious beliefs or non-religious beliefs are valid for them, and are of no civic interest. A civic people know there will always be dissenters for reasons the dissenter may or may not comprehend. A civic people’s tools include the preamble, statutory justice, the-objective-truth, and fidelity. Every civic religion flourishes in the privacy of minds, homes, churches, and voluntary associations that either collaborate for or cooperate with discovered, statutory justice.

I presented quite a bit to talk about and hope you are willing to collaborate. I realize you may oppose comprehensive safety and security, but your collaboration may lead to a better phrase.

June 27, 2017

Our Views (theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/opinion/our_views/article_a1ee4822-5a6c-11e7-a0af-4b5a2ddc2b53.html)

Regarding opinion, there are two institutions that seem exempt from the-objective-truth and thus exempt form a civic people’s influence: the media and the courts. (A civic people collaborate for statutory law that promotes living in justice rather than conforming to dominant opinion.)

Foremost in opposition to the-objective-truth is the media, which freely lies, for example, by reporting opinion in supposedly factual articles. Daily, Associated Press writers like Ken Thomas in “Trump seeks to redefine obstruction,” Page 3A, submit opinion for the articles-section of the paper. Typically, the entire article is opinion, but egregiously, Thomas interviewed an opinionated person as the basis of Thomas’ claims, without interviewing anyone with contrasting opinion. It reminds me of an FBI director going before Congress and saying, in effect, “I used a friend to leak my opinion to the media.” The director’s bosses, the director, the friend, and the media are involved in the scam. The Advocate chooses to publish the AP opinion as news.

Perhaps worse is the judicial system, as we see in this case with a judge’s injustices supported by “justices” for a couple decades. There are other errant judges being protected by the “justices.”

But the very worst is the US Supreme Court, where a committee of nine nourish this country’s 228 years of opinion springing from the constitution for the USA but bent by opinion for and against Blackstone, the sacred literature inherited from England. It dates from the 800 year old Magna Carta. The fabric of opinion rendered during the past 12 generations have moved from a hope to pursue the-objective-truth to a free-wheeling journey to apply judicially satisfying opinion on past opinion to construct imaginary pursuits, like dignity and equality. It concerns me, for example, that the court considers adult contracts that may ruin the lives of children as a case wherein children have no standing: A child is not a person with dignity and equality, and therefore may be subjected to just about any adult contract adults can imagine. But the court informed me in Greece v Galloway that I am niggling. Maybe so, but I am also a sovereign citizen.

Much as The Advocate has served the people by exposing Angola mismanagement and Gov. Edwards failure to replace the management, feature articles on judges strengthen public awareness of the need for better oversight by the judicial system. Thank you, The Advocate.

Further to this application, we work generally to persuade people to collaborate for comprehensive safety and security by discovering and using the-objective-truth to progress toward statutory law that promotes justice. We hope that by Constitution Day, 2017, 2/3 of Baton Rouge citizens will be practicing, promoting and celebrating the preamble to the constitution for the USA. (Only willing citizens can make this happen, by acting and spreading the word. We do not coerce or attempt to force anyone; we do not organize.)

Willing participants will be ready for a new annual holiday, Personal Independence Day, June 21. That day in 1788, government by the people was ratified by nine states, leaving the four remaining independent states the option to join the USA. Thus, the USA, the first ever possible government by the people, is 229 years old and we are 1 year from the 230th anniversary. It is fitting each year to celebrate Personal Independence Day, June 21st then National Independence Day, July 4th, because without responsible, personal freedom, national liberty can be tyranny, as in liberal democracy.

Perhaps the American dream is freedom-from tyranny so that each citizen may responsibly acquire the liberty-to pursue what makes them happy during every decade of their full life. America can be great if most of the people are voluntarily great.

Today’s thought, G. E. Dean (Amos 8:11-12, CJB). "The time is coming," says Adonai ELOHIM, "when I will send famine over the land, not a famine of bread or a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of ADONAI. People will stagger from sea to sea and from north to east, running back and forth, seeking the word of ADONAI; but they will not find it.”

Dean says, “There may be a day [Bible preaching] will be hard to find.” Oh, my! Dean see’s hope for an end to erroneous thought.

However, I doubt Dean: There will always be dissidents to comprehensive safety and security.

Catholicism for the institution (Prejean). (theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/opinion/letters/article_a3a92c06-5853-11e7-ab9d-cf7caeb6654f.html)

Good grief. First we have an FBI director, perhaps a nanny-state person in high places, who sees no harm in honestly admitting to Congress privation of integrity.

Now, Prejean freely publishes her privation of regard for the-objective-truth--her preference for papal opinion. Mimicking a divisive phrase, perhaps she is a papal-American. I write in serious good-humor, not knowing the-objective-truth.

First, Congressional acts that promote responsible living are not death sentences. Respecting health care, adult satisfactions are being paid for by saddling the nation’s children with debt. Studies show that personal care is more than four times as effective as medical care for maintaining well-being. Each person’s right to take care of themselves is inalienable. That is, each person cannot deny the right to take care of their health even if they want to.

Pope Francis asserts that my health insurance is someone else’s responsibility. Insurance is a free-market product designed to reduce financial risk rather than provide health. Pope Francis is simply wrong, regardless of Prejean’s opinion.

Among her other claims that she opines from higher ground, Prejean cites “the common good.” She seems to perceive that she, perhaps following the pope, specifies the common good and the people pay the bill. That’s always been the Church’s tack: Promise infinity and send the bill to the civic people. However, what Prejean does not take into account is that many people are not good.
I will do everything I can to not pay no-good bills---bills to cover for no-good people. There are and will always be dissidents to the common good: comprehensive safety and security. I consider Prejean and Francis among the dissidents. That's right: The pope seems and always has acted like a dissident to civic justice.

Non-dissidents to the common good encourage people to take care of their lives. They do not promote the erroneous idea that living their life can be left to either their government or their God.

Non-dissidents live the example that the responsible life they want is in their hands, yet they always extend a hand to those who need a hand in order to gain the personal independence to live the life the recipient wants rather than submit to providers. But the person who receives that hand must rise to independence in order to live the life they prefer. Viability to extend that hand requires the discipline to not offer the hand to people who are simply dissident to responsible living.

The Church has always tried to build fortunes by picking the pockets of the people who have the strength to extend the helping hand. The nanny-state democracy plays right into the Church’s coffers.

Like the FBI director who seems to leave his integrity to others to cover, Prejean may take into consideration that America, in the preamble to the constitution for the USA, proposes freedom-from tyranny so that each person may earn the liberty-to pursue personal happiness rather than the dictates of some institution or cause or other personal alienation. In collaboration for civic justice, the people utilize the-objective-truth about how to live together, and there is no place for traditional religious doctrine---perhaps hope for afterdeath.

On the other hand, if Prejean would like to collaborate with me about her religion; I'd be happy to tell her what I think if she'll agree to let me share my religion. Three people today invited me to their religious conference and I responded, "I'll be glad to come if you will give me a five-minute spot to speak about trust and commitment to the objective truth. They said: No; no. This is our conference. You cannot speak.

They expressed integrity, and I declined the invitation yet gave them some plants.

Fake governor (Perret). (theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/opinion/letters/article_ff3d3660-5a8e-11e7-81be-6f647702515d.html)

The gas tax proposal with dedicate funds for roads was ruined for me by two events: 1) the restricted use of the La 1 bridge at Port Allen, which indicated DOTD does not know what it is doing and 2) repetition of the claim that maybe 10% of DOTD funds go to roads.

It seems to me that Gov. Edwards could get on TV and explain these problems and urge the people to call their legislators to call a special session to pass a 20 cent gas tax increase with assurances that 1) current budget will be disclosed and corrected and 2) future revenues will go to roads.

I think we suffer fake leadership in the Governor’s office. However, I am tired of saying so and may cease unless I change my mind.

Puerto Rico bailout (Cal Thomas). foxnews.com/opinion/2017/06/22/cal-thomas-puerto-ricos-sorry-state.html

On July 1, 2016, President Obama had signed PROMESA, creating an oversight board for Puerto Rico so that they could refinance $72 billion in debt. See washingtontimes.com/news/2017/apr/18/puerto-rico-post-bailout-economy-must-stick-to-con/ .

Losers were the bondholders who were forced to re-negotiate.

On June 11, 2017, Puerto Rico voted for statehood, so that the USA could take on its debt, now $123 billion.

Thomas poses the question as to whether or not a republican president and Congress would take on such debt for a Democratic territory.

Every day, I encounter media mendacity by omission of pertinent information.

Thomas did not share that PROMESA was supported by Paul Ryan. I do not trust media writers. See thenation.com/article/just-in-time-for-the-july-4-break-congress-imposes-colonialism-at-its-worst-on-puerto-rico/ “Sponsored by Congressman Sean Duffy, R-Wisconsin, with encouragement from House Speaker Paul Ryan, this assault on basic democratic and constitutional premises won the support of Republicans and most Democrats. It is now the law. But it is bad law.”

Medicaid (Stephanie Grace). theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/opinion/stephanie_grace/article_651397ce-5a8d-11e7-a693-e38cd89134af.html

A couple decades ago, I learned that brushing and flossing my teeth diligently; diligently; diligently keeps them clean enough to mostly keep me out of the dental chair. (The key is keeping the gums clean more than the brushing the enamel.)

However, when I do need the dreaded chair, the cost has become enormous! Based on Economics 101, with a guaranteed business provided by Medicaid, providers charge very high rates to paying customers. Perhaps this is why AMA and others in the business support Medicaid expansion.

I does not make sense to pay for medical care when your taxes are paying for the free services that hike your price for service.
