Phil Beaver works to establish opinion when
the-objective-truth has not been discovered. He seeks to refine his opinion by
listening when people share experiences and observations. The comment box below
invites readers to express facts, opinion, or concern, perhaps to share with
people who may follow the blog.
Note 1: I often dash words in phrases in order to express and preserve an idea. For example, frank-objectivity represents the idea of candidly expressing the-objective-truth despite possible error. In other words, a person expresses his “belief,” knowing he or she could be in error. People may collaboratively approach the-objective-truth.
Note 2: It is important to note "civic" refers to citizens who collaborate for the people more than for the city.
Our Views I agree.
Today’s thought,
CJB (Revelation 2:3-4). “You are persevering, and you have suffered for
my sake without growing weary. But I have this against you: you have lost
the love you had at first.”
Dean says God wants our love more than anything, without
explaining the loss Revelation expresses.
Beyond discovering and being faithful to the-objective-truth,
what more can a human being do?
Letters.
Daggers for Cassidy (Lee).
(theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/opinion/letters/article_4dcd56ee-55ed-11e7-a92c-67b70218e331.html)
It seems to me
Ms Lee has not encountered the reality of politics. Perhaps readers would
benefit from the 70 vs 4 story of three of us standing to read this petition:
“Petition for
Senator David Vitter on July 16, 2007 in Greensburg, LA: We are people of faith in what-is and choose
to perform and behave virtuously. Therefore, we do not pray to supernatural
beings. Governance is the duty of we the people and you work for us. Yet, in
public meetings, you, a Senator, impose prayer. We have no interest in your
prayer. Conducting prayer in a civic meeting breeches the United States
Constitution and oppresses the people. We respectfully, earnestly petition you
to stop this practice and any semblances of it. We have handouts for anyone
interested in this petition.”
In the
consequential debate, Vitter said he could get more votes by continuing the
practice. He asked people who want the practice to stand, and I recall a count
of about 70. Then he asked supporters of the petition to stand: 4 stood. He
suggested perhaps a lawsuit would lead to remedy.
In 2014, Greece
vs Galloway informed us that legislative prayer is for legislators, and
citizens who complain are niggling.
Perhaps the
same spirit exists in legislative town meetings: They’re for legislators.
Citizens who’d like change are niggling.
Writing a
letter to the editor is much more civic than disrupting Cassidy’s meeting.
However, I am not hopeful that Lee would care to hear our proposal to
collaborate for comprehensive safety and security. Many people want something
else and demand it.
The
preamble can improve communities (Corona). (theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/opinion/letters/article_28f172a4-55ef-11e7-be75-27f49f9f30ab.html)
On September 17, 1787, 2/3 of states representatives signed
the preamble and the rest of the draft constitution for the USA. Only the
preamble survives verbatim.
The free-population then, excluding 20% slaves and natives,
was 99% Protestant with 5% able to vote. The preamble, a civic agreement,
acquired the false modifier “secular.” There were 1/3 dissidents to the
preamble and other constitutional provisions.
This next Constitution Day will mark 230 years, 12
generations. Religious practice diversified to only 14.7% traditional Protestants
with over 24% non-theists; 100% are able to vote, excluding felons. Sectarian religious
commonality no longer exists.
A new integrity
is needed, and we suggest collaboration for comprehensive safety and security using
the preamble, with religious pursuits personal for the individual and his or
her chosen, private associations. Comprehensive safety and security may be
discovered through fidelity to the-objective-truth.
On Constitution Day, 2017, we hope 2/3 of Baton Rouge residents will be collaborating for comprehensive safety and security with all lawful religious groups flourishing.

keep Sadow
(Tasker). (theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/opinion/letters/article_27dc991a-55d7-11e7-90b0-cf162d7fd83f.html)
Sadow seems a
thinker rather than a writer. I assume Tasker’s looking for a writer. I like
Sadow’s preparation and thoughts.
I admit. Sadow heaps blame on the guilt I feel for voting
for Edwards and before that Dardenne. Those two taught me in my eighth decade
that sometimes it’s better to express “no vote.”
Columns. (The fiction/non-fiction
aspect of writers is fun)
Real Republican (Rich Lowry). (politico.com/magazine/story/2017/06/14/lowry-hes-a-republican-now-215265)
Writers are
funny. Lowry should start by defining “a Republican.” Then, he might have the
basis for some part of the GOP claiming they are like President Trump. However,
to claim that Trump is one of them just does not work. But writers could not
care less about what they write.
Where writers
really lose it though, is when they imagine prescience. If the Democrats are
smart, three years from now, Lowry will be writing about how Trump become the
candidate for president favored to defeat the GOP candidate. After all,
according to writers, candidate Trump had a 1% chance when he announced his
bid.
The-objective-truth
yields to neither writers nor thinkers, and I do not know the-objective-truth.
Trump is doomed (Michael Gerson).
washingtonpost.com/opinions/the-gops-hard-messy-options-for-destroying-trumpism/2017/06/19/d6483a56-5517-11e7-a204-ad706461fa4f_story.html?utm_term=.1fffc2189134
Writers should
not try to be prescient. Gerson looks delusional after the 5 to 0 victory in
this week’s congressional elections. He may stop predicting the future.
According
to Gerson’s sources, Hillary Clinton is president and will soon take over the
country.

It’s not a good job unless you do a good job. You know it’s
good when someone says, “I appreciate you.”
The fifth annual event will be titled: Personal Independence Day, thanks to Dona
